An elegant thank you card

Hello all!  I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.  Mine has been wonderful and even the weather hasn't been too bad!  I've quickly popped in to share a thank you card I've made for my in-laws using the gorgeous Lili of the Valley Coloured Art Pads called Beautiful Blooms...

So beautifully coloured - no way I could create this!  I also used papers from the Always and Forever pad and the matching Solids pad.  I topped it off with a handmade rolled flower.  The sentiment is from the Simply Sophisticated stamp set.

Right, I'm off but will be back next week with my Doodlelicious Diva make - see you then!

What's mew?

There's a new SugarPea Designs sketch starting today and it's another gorgeous one!    Here's my take on it...

Such a pretty stamp!  I used the super cute What's Mew? set from the Sweet P collection and I matched it up with papers from the Lili of the Valley Bonnets and Bowtie pad.

Take a look at the whole set - it's so cute and I love all of the sentiments!

Check out the rest of the gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog here.  I'll see you again soon - ttfn!

Sorry for you England footie fans out there!

I should start off by saying that I really don't like football - I hate the aggressive behaviour that often comes with it (and I've experienced it first hand!), but I do like the way it brings people together.  So I'm really sorry that England are already out of world cup and I know there are quite a few of you who are really disappointed.

I was hoping my Lili of the Valley DT card today would be rallying the troops, but instead it will have to be a commiserations card instead!  Here it is using Super Striker and papers from the Petal Fresh pad...

I love this guy!  I think he's perfect for any footie mad guy - I think my 50 year old bro will even love it!

Hula hula dance

This week's theme over at the La-La Land Crafts blog is summertime fun and here is my DT make using the gorgeous Hula Marci and Cherry Blossom Flower dies...

This stamp just makes me want to go to Hawaii!  She's so beautiful.  I matched her up with My Minds Eye papers and also used a Clearly Besotted wave edge die (I'm entering this into their current anything goes challenge).

Check out more summertime fun over at the La-La Land Crafts blog.  I'll be back this weekend with my Doodlelicious Diva and Lili of the Valley posts - ttfn!

Anything goes over at SugarPea Designs

There's a new the SugarPea Designs challenge starting today and the theme is easy peasy - anything goes!  Here's my DT take on it...

Now, I didn't mean to use this fellow again, but I was asked to make someone a thank you card and this set was perfect for it!  The set is called Blow Me Away and I simply used him with an Embossalicious cloud embossing folder, The Cat's Pajamas cloud dies and a few lickle ickle iridescent sequins for a bit of sparkle.

Check out more DT inspiration over at the blog and get all the deets on how to win!  I'll be back on Friday with my La-La Land Crafts DT card - see you then!

Ready, set blow!

Today the SugarPea Designs team sponsoring this week's new Curtain Call challenge and here is my take on the photo inspiration...

I used the Blow Me Away set - yes, it is the second time I've used it this week because I love it so!  And I wanted to do a children's card with this cute fella but I don't think it's kiddie enough - once again I was too heavy handed with the Copic colouring!  Here's a closer look at this fab set...

I used papers from the Lili of the Valley Bonnet and Bowties pad and finished off with a touch of twine (it felt good to use up some of this as I have loads of it!).

I'm off to enjoy the rest of my weekend - hope you have a good one too!

Congrats!

There's a new Whimsie Doodles monthly challenge starting today and this month's theme is CONGRATULATIONS!  So, graduations, weddings, new job - anybody that needs congratulating!  For my Doodlelicious Diva I decided to take the opportunity to make a card for a pregnant friend...

I love this lady!  She is called Expecting and I matched her up with Echo Park papers and a La-La Land Crafts banner die, topped off with a few sequins and iridescent gems.  I also used my new Clearly Besotted Congrats word die (my first ever purchase of this brand and I'm lovin' them!) and I'm going to enter my card into their anything goes challenge.

I used my Promarkers to colour her in this time as I find Copic colours tend to be far too bright.  I love the muted tones of the Promarkers and really should use them more!

Check out more Doodlelicious Diva inspiration and get all the deets over at the blog here.  I'm off now but I'll be back later with my SugarPea Designs DT post - see you then!

Summer is here!

Well this past week has been fabulous here in the South East of England - sunny and hot, just the way I love it!  Shame it's not going to last though - sigh.  But at least it put me in the mood to create a sunny card and I used this week's theme over at La-La Land Crafts to make this card...

I love this sunshiney girl!  She is Popsicle Marci and I matched her up with some stripy digi paper (sorry, it was a freebie that I can't remember where I got it from!), Embossalicious cloud embossing folder and topped off with a few white Doodlebug sequins for some shine.  I'm entering my card into this week's lovely Color Throwdown challenge.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, R20
Hair: E50, E53
Outfit: RV01, R81, R85, YG00, YG01, YG25, BG10, BG53, BG57, Y11, Y13
Bag: YG00, YG01, YG25, Y11, Y13
Lollipop: YG00, YG01, YG25, E31

Card for a footie mad guy

I managed to find some time to make my dad's Father's Day card and here it is using the brilliantly fun Lili of the Valley Football Bears stamp...

They are so cute, cute, cute!  I coloured them in using my Prismacolor pencils with Copics Greys for the background shading.  I also used my Simon Says Stamp grid border die and a My Favorite Things star die.

I'll be back soon with my Doodlelicious Diva DT post - ttfn!

You blow me away

It's SugarPea Designs new sketch time!  And the new sketch is so up my street that I think I use this layout a lot (see my post from yesterday - made without even knowing it!!).  So here is my take on it...

I love this fella!  He is from the Blow Me Away set and the good news is that the Summer sale is on now with 25% off all sets!  I used My Minds Eye papers and Sizzix triangle embossing folder.

Here's a look at the full set - I love the sentiments in this...

Check out the rest of the gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog.  I'll be back tomorrow with my Lili of the Valley DT post - see you then!

Deckchair dreaming

I can't believe we're nearly mid-way through June and Father's Day is next week!  Luckily, Lili of the Valley have lots of brilliant stamps to suit the occasion so here is my DT card for this week using the very sweet Deckchair Dreams and papers from the Bear Necessities pad...

This card is for my lovely FIL who I can imagine having an afternoon doze!  I used my Quickutz polka dot embossing folder and My Favorite Things fishtail banner flag and label dies.

You can check out more Father's Day inspiration over at the blog here.  I'm off now but back tomorrow with my SugarPea Designs DT post - see you then!

Beautiful butterflies

It's La-La Land Crafts inspiration time!  Well, every day it's inspiration time over at the La-La Land Crafts blog and this week we had the theme of making our own embellishments.  I thought I would showcase one of the gorgeous butterflies from the Butterfly Set 1 die on a wedding card...

I used shimmer cardstock for the butterfly and made the flowers with a rolled flower die.  La-La Land Crafts has three lovely rolled flowers dies in large and small and medium sizes.  I used papers from the Eau de Nil 6" x 6" paper pad and Eau de Nil Self Adhesive Crochet Border.  The sentiment is from the Lili of the Valley Simply Sophisticated set.

Check out more gorgeous inspiration over at the blog here.  I will be back on the weekend with my Lili of the Valley DT posts.  ttfn!

Celebrate - it's a new Whimsie Doodle release!

It's time for the new Whimsie Doodles June release and this month we have a cute Sheldon digi available in the store here and the new Miss Adventure stamp sets available in the A Jillian Vance Designs store here.  I used the cute girl and sentiment from the Celebrate stamp set...

Of course she is perfect for those 4th July celebrations but I think she'd be great for any celebration.  This set is a limited edition one so you'll have to get her from the store soon before they run out!  I matched her up with Doodlebug papers (a pressie from my fab blog friend Sally) and used my Nesties to die cut those buttons.  I also used my rectangular Nestie dies to create the white frame.

You can check out more Doodlelicious Diva inspiration over at the store here.  I'm off now but I'll be back tomorrow with my La-La Land Crafts post - see you then!
