Alicia Bel inspiration time!

(Please scroll down for my La-La Land Crafts DT post!)

Today the Alicia Bel design team is giving you some inspiration from the fabulous goodies available in the store.  I decided to use this gorgeous girl Frog Kisser...

Isn't she beautiful?  And this is the first time I've attempted a dark skin tone using Copic E31, E33 and E35.  I'm going to try an Asian/Chinese skin tone soon!  I also added Glamour Dust to her tiara although you can't see it very well in the photo - it's blinging!  I popped the white frame on foam pads for depth to frame her.

I used Lili of the Valley Shabby Shack paper, a Memory Box flourish die, Whiff of Joy speech bubble die and La-La Land Crafts Lotus Flower die, topped off with a Doodlebug glittered brad.

Check out some more inspiration over at the blog here - you won't be disappointed!  That really is it from me today - honestly!

Baby in a pod

I found this card today in my box of cards that I forgot to post!  I made it well over a year ago when I was still on the CC Designs team.  Unfortunately, I don't think you can buy this stamp any more, but I think you'll agree that it is adorable!

So cute!!!  The papers are by DCWV and I used a Memory Box die for the background.  The heart is a CC Designs die and I used a very sweet My Favorite Things scallop border die.

Now all I need is a friend to get pregnant and have a baby so I can give this to her!

Thanks for visiting - I will be back on Friday with my La-La Land Crafts and Alicia Bel DT posts - until then, enjoy the rest of your week!

Merry Christmoose!

It's time for a new Sugar Sketch over at the SugarPea Designs blog today and I really love this one.  I don't normally like sketches as find them far too restrictive, but I knew what I wanted to do this with one as soon as I saw it!  What do you think?

As you can see, I flipped the sketch and I also used the Merry Christmoose set along with the circle from the Sugar Cuts layered treat label die set and star from the Gift Tag die set.  I wanted to create a male orientated card so I used these masculine papers by Digital Design Essentials.  Here's a look at those gorgeous SPD goodies...

Check out what the rest of the design team did with the sketch over at the blog here.  I'll be back later in the week so see you then!

Chillin' with my snowmies!

I'm doing really well with my Christmas cards this year.  Only a little more than four weeks to the special event and I think I'm nearly there with all my cards!  So here is another one using one of the fun digis by Whimsie Doodles calleSnowmies...

I love this digi and the sentiment that comes with it is perfect with it!  You can buy the duo on its own or save money and buy the December collection with 13 fun Christmas images (I got this and it's fab!).

I'm going to enter this into Squirrel's It's Snow-vember challenge - I've actually got snowmen on my card this time so it should be valid!

Now if you're waiting to see who the new Design Team members are, please bear with us as we wait for a couple more to confirm with us - we will let you know as soon as we can!

Believe in Christmas magic!

The theme over at La-La Land Crafts blog is to use our favourite LLLC products.  Hhhhmmmm, hard one - there are so many!  But I managed to whittle it down to a few so here is my DT make for it....

Here's the list of my favourite LLLC products:

Copics used:
Face: E000, E00, E21, R02, R08
Hair: C03, C05, C07
Outfit: R02, R05, R08, B000, B01, C03, C01

I snipped the snowflakes off the border die so I could frame her with them and the  paper is by Dovecraft called Krafty Christmas.

Bunny cuddles

Okay, I've got one more sneak peek for the new Lili of the Valley stamps and this one is super sweet!

So adorable, right?  It's called Baby Rabbit and I love the sweet little hearts surrounding the image too!  I also used a sentiment from the Handwritten Phrases set and the paper is from the Snow Princess paper pad.  I used a Lawn Fawn border die for extra sweetness!

I'm off now but I'll be back tomorrow with my La-La Land Crafts DT post - ttfn!

A new SugarPea Designs monthly challenge!

(Please scroll down for my Lili of the Valley DT post and
deets on winning prizes!)

It's time for a new monthly themed challenge over at SugarPea Designs and the theme is Winter Wishes.  I decided to create a shaker card as they seem to be all the rage at the moment so here my DT make for it...

Isn't he adorable?  And I love that lickle ickle fishy too!  I also used the sweet snowflake stamp to create the background.  The set is called Have An ICE Day and the sequins are by Doodlebug and I used my Lawn Fawn hillside border die again.

You don't have to use a SPD stamp set but you'll win a $15 gift voucher instead of $10.  Check out the deets and the rest of the gorgeous Wintery designs over at the blog here.

I'll be back on Friday with my Alicia Bel and La-La Land Crafts DT posts - see you then!

Lili of the Valley new release blog hop - prizes to be won!

Yes, there's a new Lili of the Valley release and it's another winner in my view!  The design team are having a hop to show them off before they are launched in the shop this Saturday at the Christmas open day and from the website on Monday 24 November.  Not long to wait!

There are 10 new images and 3 gorgeous paper pads - see the sneak peek I showed on my blog in this post here.  Join the hop and you will be in for a prize - a set of each, no less!

So without further ado, here is my DT make using Baby Balloon...

I also used a sentiment from the Handwritten Phrases set and the papers are from the Pastel Dreams paper pad.  The banner die is by La-La Land Crafts and I added a strip of white grosgrain ribbon for texture.

If you're on the hop you should have arrived here from the lovely Lou and you now need to hop off to marvellous Mindy.  If you need to start from the beginning, go to the Ideas to Inspire blog with all the deets!

I'll be back later with my SugarPea Designs DT post - see you in a couple of hours!

Lili of the Valley sneak peek!

I'm just popping in to share a sneak peek of one of the new Lili of the Valley stamps and paper pad that will be available this Saturday in store.  This cutie pie is called Baby Heart and the paper is from the One Birdie Lane pad...

Isn't he adorable?  I coloured him (or her!) with Prismacolor pencils and the sentiment is from the Handwritten Phrases stamp set.  I also used an Embossalicious button embossing folder for the background and the ribbon is by Paperchase although I don't think they sell it any more.

I hope you can come back tomorrow for another sneak peek!

It moose be your birthday

Hello everyone and I hope you've all had a great weekend.  We had a lovely evening yesterday down at our local pub, the White Hart, who hosted a BBQ, fireworks and a live band.  Unfortunately, we paid for it today with hangovers so I've wasted most of it moping around in my PJs!!

Still, I did manage to make a card tonight - I have lots of friends' birthdays in December so the SugarPea Designs Merry Christmoose stamp set is perfect for them.  Here's what I did with it...

What a great sentiment, don't you think?  And I love the trees in the set and used Colorbox white pigment ink with the snowflake stamp.  And I don't need to tell you how cute that moose is!  The border dies are by Lawn Fawn.

I'm going to enter this card into Squirrel's Snow-vember challenge.

Okay, I am off to bed now - goodness knows I need a goodnight's sleep!  Nighty night!

Merry & bright!

There new Whimsie Doodles November challenge has now opened!  The theme this month is Merry & Bright - just perfect to get you going on those Christmas cards!  We are also showing this month's new release which is two sets of digis called Santa & Friends and Santa Sentiments.

Here is my DT make using both sets...

I used the sentiment on a SugarPea Designs gift tag die and my trusty Quickutz polka dot embossing folder.  The stars are glittery stickers by Paperchase.  The ribbon is by Stampin' Up, finished off with a bit of spare string.

Check the rest of the DT inspiration over at the blog here.  I'm off to do a massive house clean up - in readiness to put the Christmas tree up next weekend!

Toodle-oo for now!

Check out my take using the freebie called Elf with Gifts...

Isn't he adorable?!  And I love that cheeky wink!  I used Carta Bella's It's a Celebration paper and used some simple twine to finish it off.  The sentiment is made with American Crafts rub-on alphas.

Check out what the rest of the design team has done with this sweet guy over at the blog here!  And if you do get to use him, don't forget to enter him into this month's challenge of anything goes for a chance to win an Alicia Bel digi of your choice!

Okay, that really is it from me today - I'll be back tomorrow with my Doodlelicious Diva DT post - ttfn!

It's cold outside

We've been so lucky with a very mild Autumn here in the UK - so warm and have barely needed a coat.  But the evenings are very cold and I'm sitting here with my fluffy boots on and I'll be switching our heated duvet cover on so I've got a cosy bed to get into later!

And the theme over at La-La Land Crafts blog is very fitting this week - it's cold outside!  So here is my DT make...

And here's the list of La-La Land Craft goodies I used:

Face: E000, E00, E21, R20, R02, R08
