How could I have neglected YOU?!!

Hello everyone!  I hope you are having a great weekend so far!  Steve, the girls and I went down to the south coast of England and spent the day walking and talking - my most fave of all hobbies!  After a few hours, we sat on the beach and Steve set up his portable barbeque and made the most yummy chicken in a bun - yum

Anyhoo, I made a card for this week's Pollycraft Monday challenge to use an old/neglected image.  I have plenty of those!  But I've wanted to colour in this little beauty for aaages so decided to give her a whirl....

 
 

Tree hugger, indeed!  I matched up this little sweetie Cherry Kisses Remembering with My Minds Eye Stella & Rose Gertie papers - the perfect stripey match (got mine from Quixotic Paperie here).  I made this for one of my dear friends who doesn't live anywhere near me - I hope she doen't think it's too soppy!

    Your card is so sweet! Love the colours and all the great paper patterns. The little girl looks so melancholy. Those roses and pearls in the corner are precious!

    I got a chuckle out of your addy... you are in East Sussex and I am in Sussex East...but it's New Brunswick, Canada! We're not quite barbecuing yet! Soon I hope!

    MJ, I think you're hubby is totally in love with you. He takes you on a long walk and then cooks for you!!
    Anyway.. Love your card. You blending of color is awesome, and since I've been on this yellow and red kick, I think I like it!!
