Totally Ladybug Tuesday and a very special announcement!

Hoorah, another Totally Ladybug Tuesday!  Hayley's challenge to the DT this week is "cats versus dogs in a shabby chic/vintage theme".  Boy, did I find this one difficult!  For those who are familiar with my style, I like my clean lines and bright bold colours - totally not shabby chic or vintage!  I knew it would have to involve a big bow, softer colours, rough edges and lace so here is what I came up with...

Better than I thought it would turn out when I first started it, thank goodness.  Of course I had to choose dogs over cats cos I love my Labradors!  Isn't that Buttercup In the Doghouse image soooo cute?  I love buttercup because she's (he's?!!) is suitable for all ages - a baby card, a child's card or even a grown up - versatile, don't you think?  You can buy her here plus you can get 15% if you use this voucher code CB2010 before the end of November - bargain!  I saw Meahni's beautiful version of the stamp here so I just had to buy the stamp, didn't I?!!  I love the way she looks a little sad so thought that {hugs} sentiment would be a great match.  I also really enjoyed creating that wooden slat effect with my Copics.

I can't wait to see the DT's creations for this challenge - perhaps I can pick up some shabby chic tips!  Why not join me now for some inspiration?
