Hi all! I have something a little different for you today - not my usual style! Susana Loves
Stamps release from SCACD has a new style - mixed media! And to showcase this gorgeous release, we are having a blog hop!
So, never having done mixed media before, I thought I'd go all out and
see what I could create without any particular design or plan - very
scary for me! Here is what I came up...
I'm quite pleased with it although I think more practice is required to be comfortable with this messy style! This beautiful lady is called Profiles from the "The Blank Canvas Collection" set and the sentiment is from the Self Words set. I also used the new gorgeous corner dies. I found this this type of creating quite liberating, although my craftroom needs a clean up now! The paper is from the Glitz Design French Kiss pad and I used VersaMagic Brilliance ink to create the toned effect. In real life she really shimmers! Here's a closer look at the gorgeous detail of this stamp and the corner die...
And before I go, Elaine is celebrating the Jubilee weekend in style for you in the Quixotic Paperie shop! Starting from today, there is 10% off storewide and goes through to midnight on Tuesday!
Okay, that is it from me now! My internet appears to be behaving itself for me today so I'll be round to visit you all! Thanks for visiting!
I am entering my card into the following challenges:
