Happy Saturday everyone! This is my last day as this week's There She Goes featured Trendsetter and today I had to do a scrapbook layout! Okay, so here goes - my very first ever scrapbook page! I must say that I like my little "canvases" on cards - I found the huge space on the scrapbook page really hard to fill up! Of course, I had to do a layout with my two fur balls, Poppy and Lulu, and wanted to show them in their usual place, lying by my desk and snuggling each other!
I'm not sure if I like my first 8 x 8 page that much, but I do love the stamps I used! I has to use one of my all time favourite stamps called Puppy Love by illustrator Torico. I used Kristin Cronin-Barrow Pumpkins and Spice papers and My Favorite Things fishtail banners. I am entering this card into the Simon Says anything goes challenge.
Well I need a lot more scrapbooking practice but not a bad start! Thanks for joining me on my week as the featured There She Goes Trendsetter!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on completing your first scrapbook page! Fantastic start! Love the doggy stamp embellishments! A suggestion for your next page...add the verbiage. That is one of the main differences (besides size) between scrapbooking and card making. On your blog, you told us about your fur balls and their usual place. Your scrapbook page would be even more awesome with that story included.

Brava my friend for your first scrapbook page! You make me want to start over again. I am like you too, the space makes me scared coz I don't know what to fill it with:-) But your fur balls are too sweet together. What you could add more is some lines about what you love about that picture and the date when it was taken. Enjoy your wkend!

Poppy & Lulu are soo CUTE together!8-) I am like you, much more comfortable with my card canvases, lol Having to make a scarp book page would likely give me hives, lol ;-) Your's is truly Darling though! Love this my Sweet friend! 8-)

For your first scrapbook layout, this is a huge success, Mary!! I actually prefer a clean and simple layout like what you've made here. Haven't scrapbooked in ages, but now I have the itch to do it again! Thanks for the inspiration! :)
