Happy birthday Sandie!

(Please scroll down for my All That Scraps
February release preview post!)

It's the wonderful, funny, talented Sandie Dunne's birthday today and some of her good buddies have got together to celebrate her special day!  Here is the card I made for her...

I hope you like it Sandie and I hope it has arrived to you on time!  I used My Minds Eye Stella and Rose papers and some flat backed pearls for a bit of interest.  And do you see the heart?  I die cut that from a piece of Marks and Spencers fabric sample!  I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp challenge for have a heart.

You can check out the rest of Sandie's birthday cards over at the Yumi and Fumi Handmade Crafts Blog!

Happy birthday, Sandie!

Spooky goings on over at Quixotic Paperie!

Boo!  I mean, hello!  Here today to show you my DT project that I posted earlier in the week over at Quixotic Inspirations for our of Halloween inspiration of spooky stash at Quixotic Paperie!  So, today I am showing you what I did with the Make It Crafty Shadow Box Circle Frame kit...

This was so much fun to make!  I am going to put it on a shelf in my porch on Halloween night to welcome those little ones coming round trick or treating!!  Okay, so what did it take to make this?  Ain't that scarey gal a lot of fun?!  This is Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Mitzi the Mummy who I stamped on Make It Color Blending Card (my fave to use with my Copic markers!).

For the base, I used Black Soot Distress Ink and then I sprayed Ranger Adirondack Colour Wash Spray in Lettuce for a gooey sheen!  Paper-wise, I used the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor pad and of course I used lots of My Favorite Things Die-Namics...

Okay, that is it from me today - I hope you liked my scarey project!  Don't forget to see this post here to be in for a chance to win the prize giveaway!!

Shadow box beauty!

Hello everyone!  I'm here today to show you my Quixotic Inspirations DT project using those gorgeous Quixotic Paperie goodies.  Those who know me, know that I like to make cards - sometimes venturing to a tag! - but today I have something very different to share...what do you think...

I am really pleased with how my shadow box turned out!  I used the new Make It Crafty Shadow Box in the square frame - it was so easy to put together using a quick drying strong glue.  I coloured in the gorgeous Make It Crafty Adele again but this time with brown hair and matched her up with papers from My Minds Eye Indie Chic Ginger papers.  For the embellishing I used the new SCACD dies Classic Corners and Nature's Tapestry Fan.  For the lettering, I die cut these using Tim Holtz Grunge papers and simply inked them up.

I hope you have enjoyed my project - I certainly had a lot of fun creating it!  See you soon with another crafty make!
