More penguin love!

Hi all, hope you've a good weekend.  I feel rather virtuous - I've done some gardening (the worst activity I can think of) and spent some time decorating one of the bedrooms.  Unfortunately, I didn't have a lot of time for crafting but I did manage to make a birthday card this evening using one of my all time favourite stamp sets called Rice Rice Baby by SugarPea Designs...

I just love love love this little fella!  And I love all of the sentiments in this set too - makes it so versatile!  For my card I used Carta Bella's It's a Celebration papers and a La-La Land Crafts Stitched Nested Circle die.

I'm off now to do something less virtuous - drink alcohol!  And wind down ready for another busy  busy work week!  Thanks for visiting and see you next week!

To doodle or not to doodle?

This week's inspiration over at La-La Land Crafts is "oodles of doodles" - I rarely doodle as I like symmetry and neatness too much!  Still, I had a go and ended up with this...

Yeah, I know I didn't get my dashes evenly sized nor in perfectly lines!  It's driving me nuts looking at it, lol!!  But I love the stamp which is the very sweet Christmas Bell Marci.  I also used the Snowflake Banner die (I used DCWV glitter cardstock with it)Christmas Hill Border die die and the fishtail banner die from the Stitched Elements die set.  The papers are by DoCrafts (I totally love these papers!).

Did you ever want your very own pony?

I know I did!  And I saved every penny when I was a young girl so I could take the long bus ride to the nearest stables to ride a pony!  But alas, I never did get to own my very own but I do get to see them nearly every day now I live in the countryside.  *Sigh* - such beautiful creatures!

But, hey, you haven't come here to hear me reminisce!  But the card I am sharing today brings back those memories and I just adore the new Annabel Saddle Up stamp now available in the Lili of the Valley store.

Isn't she pretty?  And I also used the pretty papers from the Pastel Dreams pad and the sentiment is from the Scrolls Sentiments set.  I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Scalloped Border and the that's a CC Designs Cutter grass border die.

Thank you for visiting me today - have a great day and I will see you again soon!

Woo hoo!

I was super chuffed to see that one of my cards for Lili of the Valley made it as the focal point on this month's edition of Simply Cards and Papercrafts #128!  Check this out...

My mum is going to be so proud when she sees this - it's almost like I'm a celebrity when I get in a mag, lol!  And here are all of the cards that are featured in this edition...

Using Penguin Pals...

These two using Ice Christmas...

These two using Frosty Fun...

This one using Snow Flurries...

And lastly this card also using Snow Flurries made it onto their blog as a bonus card...

I love these penguins!  And I also used papers from the new Festive Trimmings pad and sentiments from the Christmas Wishes stamp set.

Whew, that was a lot of cards I made in less than a week!  But it was well worth it to see them published!  I'm going to enter these into Squirrel's The Great Penguin Challenge 2014.

Now I'm off to bed to get a good rest for another busy, busy week at work!

A spooky scene

I've got a card today to share that I had so much fun in creating!  It uses one of the new Whimsie Doodles Background Borders - Places and the witch from the very cute Little Boo's set...

Oh I so love these backgrounds!  And the set includes a Christmas, out of space and a farm scenes - I'm going to be busy playing with these - check them all out here.  I used Authentique papers and La-La Land Crafts Spiderweb Border die.

I'm off now to play with the others - you can find me in my craftroom!

Scarecrow cutie!

There's a new SugarPea Designs challenge starting today and the theme is Happy Fall!  So here is my DT make using one of my all time favourite sets Bountiful Blessings...

This little lady is so pretty and I love the bits of straw poking out!  And did you see the wee little mouse on the pumpkin?  What a cute detail!  The papers are by Lori Whitlock - the scenic paper was so perfect that I didn't need to add anything else to this card so it literally took me five minutes to put together once I'd finished colouring in.  What a time saver!

So I hope you can join in this week's challenge.  You can use any stamp you like for these challenges but if you win and use a SugarPea Designs set, we'll top your voucher up to $15!  Check out the deets and more gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog.

Thanks for visiting and I'll be back on Friday with my DT make for La-La Land Crafts - ttfn!
