A 10 minute card

Hi everyone!  What a busy weekend we've had - almost glad it's over and I can go to bed, lol!  No, seriously, that was so not true!  Anyway, quickly popping in to share my Lili of the Valley DT card using the  Bunnies art pad, Scroll Sentiments set and Petal Fresh pad...

These beautifully coloured images are so quick to use - this card took me about 10 minutes to make.  I used My Favorite Things daisy dies and La-La Land Crafts Berry Flourish and topped off with some iridescent gems.

Okay, I gotta go now but I'll see you soon - ttfn!

Items for sale

Hi everyone!  I've had a bit of a clear out and decided to sell some items, mainly stamps but some pads and other items.  You can find them here.

I will be adding more as I go through more cupboards, like dies and embossing folders.

More La-La Land Crafts inspiration

We are showcasing more of the La-La Land Crafts new release today - Team Friday have done an amazing job so be prepared to fall in love with the gorgeous new all over goodies again!  I've made three projects for today so you may want to settle in for five minutes!

Here is my first card....

Whenever I see this guy I keep singing "yeah yeah yeah, ohhhh-yeah, I'm all shook up" - well, the dogs seem to love it when I sing it to them!  So this cool guy is called Singing Luca and I matched him up with My Minds Eye Alphabet Soup papers and a touch of glitter on his stars.  This layout seems to be very popular at the moment so I used last week's Deconstructed Sketch #147 and flipped it on its side.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, R20
Hair: C01, C03, C05, C07
Outfit: C0, C03, C05, C07 R01, R05, R08

For my second card I made this using Paper Doll Marci - Princess and created the scene using the Picket Fence, Whimsical Tree and Whimsical Flowers Bunch dies...

She is so pretty!  And I love her little leg bands and roses on her shoes!  I matched her up with Echo Park papers for a splash of yellow.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, R20
Hair: E50, E51, E53
Outfit: Y0000, Y11, Y13, R20, R22, E71, E77

And for my last card I made this with the gorgeous Paper Doll Marci - Hearts and Random Flags Banner die...

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, R20
Hair: C01, C03, C05, C07
Outfit: Y11, Y13, Y17, BG10, BG53, BG57, C03, C05

Another beauty!  I matched this little lady up with BasicGrey Lilykate papers and finished off with some lickle ickle iridescent pearls that you can't really see in the photo!  I'm also annoyed with the photo - the yellow in her dress is not that bright!  Hey ho.

You will want to check out the rest of the team's gorgeous projects showcasing the goodies over at the La-La Land Crafts blog here!

SugarPea Designs is hopping with Perfect Paper Crafting!

(Please scroll down for my La-La Land Crafts post!)

The SugarPea Designs design team are teaming up with the Perfect Paper Crafting design team to bring you a fabulous blog hop filled with SugarPea Designs sweetness and sweet crafting tools from our friends at Perfect Paper Crafting. You are sure to be inspired and you could WIN a fabulous prize!!
Here is my project using Totes Ma Goat stamp set and the Perfect Layers Mini Tool...

I wasn't convinced that the
Perfect Layers Mini Tool was going to add much to my crafting as I have a guillotine on my desk but I actually ended up loving it!  So much more quicker and accurate to use - I'll be using this a lot.  On my card I used the 3.2mm side of the ruler to create the yellow border and then the 15.9mm to create the blue spotty border.  Here's a link to the how-to video - incidentally I found it so easy to use that I didn't even look at this video!

So join the hop and leave comments along the way because there's a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs Online Shoppe and Perfect Paper Crafting is also giving away a $50 Gift Certificate to their store!  Winners will be chosen at random and announced on the SugarPea Designs Blog on May 1st.
Below is a list of participating designers, happy hopping!
And here's a look at what I used...

La-La Land Crafts new release gorgossity!!

Have you seen the new La-La Land Crafts release yet?  The whole collection is totally gorgeous and I am so glad I'm their current guest designer so I got to play with them all!  Here is a trinket box that made using these fab goodies.

Here's a list of the goodies that I used:

Whimsical Flowers Bunch (snipped to create the grass)

I was going to give this box to a friend of mine, but I've decided to keep it for myself to keep my paper flowers in it.  I'll have to buy another kit to make her her own now!

Things just goat serious

There's a new SugarPea Designs challenge starting today and the theme is to keep it CASE - my favourite kind of challenge!  Here is my DT take on it...

I love this fella!  He is from the Totes Ma Goats set along with that excellent sentiment!  I used the new La-La Land Crafts Picket Fence die and October Afternoon papers.  I then simply finished it off with my corner chomper.

I hope you can join us for this challenge - you don't have to use SugarPea Designs stamps but if you do you can win more!  The prize is $10 gift voucher to the store and an extra $5 if you use a SugarPea Designs stamp.  Check out the rest of the gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog here and deets on how to win !

Hey Gill Friend

A very happy Tuesday to you all!  I hope you all enjoyed a lovely long Easter weekend and not long now (here in the UK anyway!) for another long weekend!

So I'm here today with another Doodlelicious Diva make using the new clear Seas the Day stamp set that you can buy from the A Jillian Vance Design store...

I love this cutie - just look at those plump lips!  And the font in this set is just brilliant - whimsical yet fun!  I matched him up with Bo Bunny Barefoot and Bliss papers and my Cuttlebug bubble embossing folder for interest.

I hope you like him as much as I do!  I'm off now but will be back soon - ttfn!

Spring is in the air!

Well, I think it is - the sun has been out but it's still soooooo cold!  I'm still wearing my winter coat!  Hey ho, at least it's not raining.

So it's my second week as a La-La Land Crafts guest designer and this week we had the theme of Spring/Easter.  Here is my card with the Spring theme...

Well most of you will know that this is NOT me - I hate gardening!!  But I do love this very sweet girl.  She is called Marci with Flower and the sentiment is from the Suitcase Set.  I also used the gorgeous Berry Flourish, trimming it to frame her. The papers are by Digital Design Essentials.

Lips - R20, R22
Hair - Y11, Y13, Y15

Fairy good friends

We have been reviewing some of our older fairy stamps over at Lili of the Valley recently so the design team decided to have a fun hop using the very sweet Fairy Friends stamp.  Here is my take on it...

This is such an adorable stamp!  I matched them up with papers from the Promises pad and also die cut the flourishes and punched the flowers out using the new Promises Solids paper pad.  It's so nice having everything coordinated rather searching through my piles of cardstock to match up the colours!  I also added lots of Stickles Star Dust glitter glue to the fairies so they really pop off the card - here's a closer look...

Okay, so back to the hop - there are prizes to be won!  Just join the hop and leave some love along the way.  The winners will be announced on Monday morning over at the Ideas to Inspire blog.

2 lucky random winners will each be able to choose 2 of the small fairy stamps as their prize!

You should have got here from Lou and you now need to hop off to Mindy.  If you want to start from the beginning, go to the Ideas to Inspire blog here where you'll also find all the deets.

Well I'm off now but I'll be back on Friday with my Guest Designer card for La-La Land Crafts - ttfn!

Sea-ing you makes me smile

It's time a new Whimsie Doodles challenge and for April the theme is April Showers - so basically anything associated with water!  Here is my Doodlelicious Diva make using the new Seas The Day stamp set that you can buy from the Jillian Vance Designs shop...

Isn't he adorable?!  I love the font of the sentiment - whimsical yet cool!  I created the background using the bubble stamp in the set with Versamagic Sea Breeze ink and used my Nestability circle dies with metallic cardstock to create the porthole (I love doing this!).  And I got to use some of my zillions of brads up too!  Take a closer look at this fab set...

Check out the rest of the gorgeus Diva makes over at the blog here.  Have a lovely day and I'll see you tomorrow with our Lili of the Valley blog hop!

Easter sweeties!

I can't believe it's Easter next weekend!  I have to get my skates on and make a few more cards.  Luckily I had the gorgeous Lili of the Valley Easter Sweeties stamp to hand so I made this...

I love this stamp - it so so adorable!  I fussy cut out all of the duckies used a sentiment from the Simply Sophisticated set.  I also useMy Minds Eye Notable papers and CC Designs Cutter grass die.

Right, I'd better go and make some more cards!  :)

Is it Spring yet? I think so!

I'm here today with a card that I think accurately represents our UK Spring - that's to say it's still a little chilly in the shade!  I think newbie Skinny Jeans Abby accurately represents what I'm currently wearing - a scarf to keep that wind out!

I used My Minds Eye Notable papers with the cloud and sun die cuts using My Favorite Things dies.  The sentiment is from the Lili of the Valley Simply Sophisticated set.  I've placed a few daisies around too for some added interest.

Okay, I am off now to get ready for our meal out tonight at our favourite restaurant.  I've hardly eaten today so I can relax and enjoy what I want!  I hope you have a lovely evening planned to!

Guesting for La-La Lands Crafts!

As some of you know, I've stepped down from several design teams in recent months (down to 3 from 8 teams this time last year!).  This was mainly because I felt my style was becoming a bit stale and wanted to free up more time to explore my style more and also use other brands.  Well I'm very excited to share today that my lovely blog mate Sandie invited me to do a guest designer spot for La-La Land Crafts for the next two months.  I've never used this brand before and I must say that I've fallen in love with it!

Today is Inspiration Friday over at the La-La Land Crafts blog and this week's theme is Glitter Mania!  So here is my very first make for them using the stylish Jesalyn and the gorgeous Berry Flourish die.

This stamp is so perfect for one of my city friends - so classy!  And I love the Berry Flourish - so beautiful and I topped it off with some sweet paper flowers.

I don't normally use glitter much but there are lots on her jewellery, shoes and flowers.  I also used some iridescent sequins to add to the shimmer.

Copics used:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E21
Lips ~ RV52, RV55
Eyes ~ G20, G43, G46
Hair ~ E50, E51, E53
Dress ~ C9, C7, C5, C3

I must say though that I felt under a bit of performance pressure creating my first card for them - this is a seriously talented team and their colouring skills are amazing!  I know I'm going to learn a lot from this bunch of gals!

Okay, I'm off now but don't forget to check out the rest of the gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog here while I decide who to give this beauty to!

Day four of the SugarPea Designs April release sweet sneaks!

It's the last day of the SugarPea Designs April release - not long now until they are in the shop!  Today we are showing you sneak peeks of the super sweet Totes Ma Goat set from the Beanstalk collection.  Here is my DT make...

This is such a great collection with a fab selection of matching sentiments too!  I matched this little fella up with Lili of the Valley papers and created the hills with My Favorite Things landscape dies.  The flowers are punched from a really really old EK Success punch.

Wanna win this sweet set?   Join our hop and leave some blog love each day.  One lucky hopper will win this stamp set and one lucky winner will win the entire April release!  Winners will be announced during the online release party chat on the  SugarPea Designs Facebook page  page on today between 8:00 - 9:00pm EST.  The release will launch in the SugarPea Designs online shoppe immediately following the release party.

Hope to see you at the release party - can't promise to be there as it'll be 1am here in the UK and should be asleep!  I will definitely be back tomorrow with another post - a very exciting one!
