Mojo Monday sketch #136

Hello and a happy Friday to you all! Another very long and demanding week at work, but managed to make a few cards this week - hoorah! Here is my card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch...

For those of you who have been following my recent car purchase, I was meant to pick it up last week, but they have been waiting for a hinge to be delivered from Germany for the sunroof - it's still not here yet! So unfortunately I will have to wait until next week to pick it up - boo! Nevermind, it is due to rain all weekend so I wouldn't be able to have the roof down anyway. (Yeah, always looking for the bright side of things!)
It's a bank holiday here in the UK so I have the next three days to relax and be creative - I am sooo looking forward to it! Happy weekend everyone!

Papers/cardstock: Papermania red cardstock, October Afternoon Farm Fresh

Stamps: none
Accents: BasicGrey buttons and floss, American Crafts ribbon

Gorjuss giveaway!

Hi all, just a quickie. I have made a card but haven't had time to upload it yet, will do tonight!

Just wanted to let you know that Emma is giving away a lovely Gorjuss girl stamp. Go check her out right now here!

Sitting here thinking of you

Yay! Another card made - that's 3 days in a row now - and I think I'll even have time to make another tomorrow! Ain't life grand when you can create! Anyway, enough of the waffling, let's get down to the card of which I used this week's Sweet Stampin challenge #23 sketch...

Have a lovely Wednesday and hopefully I will have another card to share!

Over the moo-oon!

I found this stamp in my stash that I've never used so thought I'd better! I love this Koetie stamp - it is sooo cute! I was going to make a baby card with it, but it makes me think of being friends so I made it into a birthday card for one of my best buddies instead! I used this week's Craft Sentiments sketch and here it is...

Some of you have been asking about my 2004 black convertible Mercedes CLK that I mentioned in my post last Friday! Yes, I bought it on Saturday! I was so nervous on the way to the car dealers that I nearly had second thoughts - but as soon as I took it out on a test drive, I fell in love with it! It is such a smooth, easy car to drive! My husband managed to bargain a really good deal too - I would have paid the full asking price! So now I have my dream car AND I can buy an outfit to co-ordinate with it, lol!! The dealership is doing a full service on it and then I am picking it up on Wednesday afternoon - can't wait!!!

I am in such a good mood - can you tell?! I have some coloured in images all ready to be made up so I should be able to make some cards this week so watch this spot!

Get well soon and MTSC entry

You all know that I love my The Greeting Farm stamps, but I must say that I also love CC Designs! They are so great to colour in and match up to any design paper - it's a pleasure to use them! I used the new Birgitta on a Tree Stump to make a get well soon card for my sister-in-law, Diane. It was her birthday yesterday, but she spent it in bed with a bad cold - poor honey! What a horrid way to spend your special day, but I'm sure my brother will treat her next weekend to make it up. Here is the card I made her...

I also made another card today for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #70 with CC Designs' cute Kiki with puppy - sooo cute!

I've got some more stamps coloured in and ready to make into new cards so hopefully it won't be another week before I post something!

10 random things about me!

No card today - work, yet again, has been taking up my time this week! Just doing this quick post as my lovely blogging pal, Carly, has handed on to me a Beautiful Blogger Award! I feel very privileged as Carly is one talented lady - go see her blog now!

With this award I am meant to list 10 random things about me, so here goes...
  1. We love to go walking in the countryside. Living in East Sussex, England, provides us with lots of places to do this and we used go for 5-6 hour walks every week. Unfortunately, I've been so busy at work that we haven't done so much recently
  2. My ultimate dream is to move abroad to a sunny climate when I retire and have a home right on the coastline with views of the ocean, with a large wooden balcony, sipping champagne while watching the sunset...bliss
  3. My favourite band right now is The Black Eyed Peas
  4. I start every morning with a glass of fruit juice - sets me right up for the day!
  5. The best thing about my job is that I get to talk to a lot of people! As you can tell, I am very sociable!
  6. I drive my husband mad because I can never make a decision when I'm at home! My job is very demanding and I make decisions all the time - by the time I get home I'm all decisioned-out!
  7. I love my two Yellow Labradors more than chocolate - really!
  8. I rarely watch the TV and when I do it's normally the news
  9. We bought our first house with a large garden because I thought I'd enjoy gardening. It turned out that I hate it!!! Ho hum...perhaps we'll cement it all over...
  10. I have never owned a nice car before but tomorrow I am going to go and buy a black convertible Mercedes CLK! Here it is...

Wow, that was more difficult than I thought it would be! I am now handing over my awards to the following great gals (in no particular order)...

  1. Stephanie
  2. Lisa Jane
  3. Emma
  4. Nikki
  5. Mari
  6. Silke
  7. Diana
  8. Melody
  9. Cindy
  10. Danni

I hope to have a card to share with you tomorrow!

Going places!

I'm not sure if I'm too late to submit this, but here is my card for the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #108. I've been meaning to use this MFT stamp for months and thought this sketch would be ideal for it. I like the slightly masculine feel for it - it's going to a tom boy so think it's just right for her!

Hope you are all having a fabulous week. Isn't it great that it's Friday tomorrow! And more sun on the way for the weekend in the UK - can't wait!

A Sketch For You to Try

Is it only Tuesday?! It feels like Thursday! Still, not a bad week, just a looong one! At least the sun has been out and hopefully it will get warmer soon too!

To the card! I just love TGF Reeta - she looks so studious but sweet at the same time and I just love her argyle skirt. I used this week's A Sketch For You to Try - thought it all came out very well co-ordinated!

That's it for now - hopefully I'll have time to craft tonight!

Apple of my eye - thank YOU!

You know, I am sooo lucky. I have an amazing set of friends, a family I love to spend time with and - now don't fall over - I love my job (even if it keeps me from crafting occasionally!). I can't wait to go to work tomorrow, have lunch/drinks with my friends this week and THEN spend some virtual time with my blogging friends! Is my life boring?? Probably, but who cares!!! Anyway, you can see that I am in a very good mood and I just want to say a thank you to YOU for contributing to my great life!

Okay, waffle over. I made more time today to craft. I'm halfway through some, but here's one I finished tonight (after a day walking along the coast and having lunch in Brighton Marina) AND I think I really like it!

I am entering it for the All That Scraps weekly Wednesday challenge to make a shaped card. I've been dying to make something other than a square or rectangular card for aaages, so perfect timing!

I should have a card to share with you tomorrow, so until then - ttfn!!

Tools: Nestabilities scalloped circle die cut

Bliss - time for crafting!

Some of you might think it crazy that I have been getting up at 6.30am just to do some crafting, but otherwise I'd never get to fit it in! This morning I made two cards in my quiet craft room with the (albeit weak) sun streaming in the window. Bliss!

The first card I am entering into two challenges: Quixotic challenge #20 The Joys of Spring theme (because this was me on the way to work last week with a spring in my step, listening to my iPod in the Spring sun - lovely! No I don't show my belly off at work, in case you were wondering) and using the Friday Sketchers sketch...

The second card I am also entering into two challenges: Stamp Something challenge using stitching (this was new stich for me - and it didn't come out very straight, lol!!) and using the Club Anya & Friends sketch...

Enjoy the rest of the weekend and I just hope I will be able to fit some more crafting and blogging in during next week!

Hello - again!

Now don't fall over - another post today! This time an opposite to this morning's post and a card for the autumn! Don't ask me why, I just knew that I wanted to colour in TGF Izzy and of course it's breezy and I thought of leaves. So actually, you can ask me why cos I just told you!

Anyhoo, waffling away here (you can see I've missed blogging!) and all you want to see is the card and I used the Pretty In Ink challenge #4 sketch...

Who knows - perhaps another card tonight?!!

The joys of spring

Hello all! No, I haven't left blogland for good - just been manically busy at work again. It keeps me out of mischief of course, but keeps me from what I enjoy doing most - crafting! What with the gorgeous weather we have had in England in the last few days, I had to make a card to celebrate the sun and especially as I'll be tidying up the garden from the winter today! Here it is...

I am entering this card using the Just Add Ink challenge #12 sketch.

I've coloured in several images this morning and will make something of them later on - so adieur for now! {{Mmmwah}}

I miss you

Well, a "hoppy" Easter weekend to everyone! I have been sooo looking forward to having a lie in today as it's been another looong week at work! I managed to sleep right through to 7am this morning - normally it's 6am, so it IS an improvement!

Anyhoo, I'm sure you are not interested in my silly sleeping habits! But I just wanted to say how much I have missed blogging this week - you gals (cos let's face it, there's only been one man visiting my site!) are so wonderful to connect with! Ok, onto the card! Here it is...

I didn't use any challenges as I was just loving using my Stampin Up products! I wanted to make a pastel card and thought this set would give a light airy feel (just like how Spring should be, but instead it's grey, grey, grey and wet - again! Must stop moaning about the weather....). It looks a bit wonky, doesn't it?! Hey ho, in real life I think I can get away with it!
Anyway, off to do some more blogging now and visit all my virtual friends! ttfn, xxx
