My lovely Blogger followers!

Woo hoo!

I was super chuffed to see that one of my cards for Lili of the Valley made it as the focal point on this month's edition of Simply Cards and Papercrafts #128!  Check this out...

My mum is going to be so proud when she sees this - it's almost like I'm a celebrity when I get in a mag, lol!  And here are all of the cards that are featured in this edition...

Using Penguin Pals...

These two using Ice Christmas...

These two using Frosty Fun...

This one using Snow Flurries...

And lastly this card also using Snow Flurries made it onto their blog as a bonus card...

I love these penguins!  And I also used papers from the new Festive Trimmings pad and sentiments from the Christmas Wishes stamp set.

Whew, that was a lot of cards I made in less than a week!  But it was well worth it to see them published!  I'm going to enter these into Squirrel's The Great Penguin Challenge 2014.

Now I'm off to bed to get a good rest for another busy, busy week at work!

A spooky scene

I've got a card today to share that I had so much fun in creating!  It uses one of the new Whimsie Doodles Background Borders - Places and the witch from the very cute Little Boo's set...

Oh I so love these backgrounds!  And the set includes a Christmas, out of space and a farm scenes - I'm going to be busy playing with these - check them all out here.  I used Authentique papers and La-La Land Crafts Spiderweb Border die.

I'm off now to play with the others - you can find me in my craftroom!

Scarecrow cutie!

There's a new SugarPea Designs challenge starting today and the theme is Happy Fall!  So here is my DT make using one of my all time favourite sets Bountiful Blessings...

This little lady is so pretty and I love the bits of straw poking out!  And did you see the wee little mouse on the pumpkin?  What a cute detail!  The papers are by Lori Whitlock - the scenic paper was so perfect that I didn't need to add anything else to this card so it literally took me five minutes to put together once I'd finished colouring in.  What a time saver!

So I hope you can join in this week's challenge.  You can use any stamp you like for these challenges but if you win and use a SugarPea Designs set, we'll top your voucher up to $15!  Check out the deets and more gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog.

Thanks for visiting and I'll be back on Friday with my DT make for La-La Land Crafts - ttfn!

Showcasing the La-La Land Crafts September Club Kit

Have you subscribed to the Club La-La Land Crafts Kits yet?  They are so super cute and I'm so lucky to be on the team so that I get to play with them to my hearts content!  We are showcasing the September Club Kit today and here are my two projects using it...

Isn't she adorable?  And I love the accessory stamps and dies in this kit too.  I die cut the branch twice - one in green cardstock and another in orange.  I snipped the orange leaves off and adhered them onto the green branch with foam pads to give it some depth.  The papers are by My Minds Eye and used my cloud folder for the background.

Copics used:
Face: E000, E00, E21, R20
Hair: E50, E53
Outfit: C01, C03, R20, R22
Pumpkins: R00, R02, R05, R08

Here is my second card...

So for this card I used from the kit the Boo banner, leaf and fence dies.  I also used the sweet girl, haystack and pumpkin stamps.  The papers are by Authentic and I used a polka dot embossing folder for interest in the background.

Face: E000, E00, E21, R20, C05, C07
Hair: E50, E53
Outfit: C03, C05, C07, C00, R20, R22

If dogs could speak

Would you believe it, but I managed to make a card just for the sake of creating and not for a DT commitment.  And I must say that I really enjoyed it and must do more of it!

I recently bought the Paper Smooches Dog Icons die set from Make The Day Special and lovely owner Tara threw in a sample of their new Peel and Stick Veneer.  I used these lovely items to make this thank you card...

I also used the Make The Day Special sketch in their current challenge which was perfect for these dies!  The papers are from an old Crate Paper pad and I used My Favorite Things alpha dies for the "woof" and popped them on foam pads for extra depth.  I can't remember which brand the speech bubble die is from but there are so many out there now!  Inside the card I will write "Woof is dog for thank you".

I'm off to make some dinner now but I'll be back tomorrow with my Doodlelicious Diva make.  Enjoy the rest of your evening!

Let's taco 'bout it!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I just love EVERY stamp set in the SugarPea Designs Bean Stalk Collection!  And once again the latest to the collection won my heart over so I just had to use it again for another DT make...

Isn't he fab?  He's from the Let's Fiesta set and I just love the sentiments in this set for all sort of occasions - thank you's, birthdays, congratulations and more!  Take a closer look...

I hope you love him as much as I do!  I will be back tomorrow with my Doodlelicious Diva card - ta ta for now!

Yee haw cowgirl!

As promised, I'm back again with another Lili of the Valley sneak peek and today I'm showing this very fun Cowgirl...

Isn't she adorable?  I love her hat and cute outfit - I want one!  The sentiment is from the Handwritten Phrases set.  The new stamps will be launched in our shop today at the open day and on the website next Monday so not long before you can own your very own!

I'm off now to decorate a bedroom - not my favourite thing to do on a weekend but at least it's not blooming gardening!

Washi - where?!

This week's inspiration over at La-La Land Crafts is washi tape.  I don't actually like washi tape so I decided to cheat and just trim strips of paper for my card!

This is Paper Doll Marci Winter and I also used the Snowflake Banner die (I trimmed the snowflakes off to dot them around her), a Stitched Nested Circles die and the Stitched Scallops Border die.  The papers are by Echo Park.

Copics used:

Face: E000, E00, E21, R20
Hair: C03, C07, C09
Outfit: C01, C03, RV93, RV95, RV99, B21, B23, B26, BG10, BG, 45, BG49

I'm off to finish work for the week - and then a well deserved rest with a large glass of alcohol by 6pm methinks!  Have a lovely day yourselves!

Up to its neck in hot water

(Please scroll down for the Lili of the Valley blog hop
with the deets on how to win prizes!)

I'm a bit late with this card - life is not running as smoothly or calmly as I would like it to be!  So the new September Whimsie Doodle challenge started a couple of days ago with the theme of Autumn colours so here is my Doodlelicious Diva make for it...

Yellow and orange are definitely reminders of Autumn for me but so is blue as we often get blue, sunny skies in September.  These papers by Zoe Pearn are perfect for it and I also used a WRMK embossing folder.  This little lady is from the Miss Adventure Tea with Abby stamp set available from the A Jillian Vance Designs store.

Get more Autumnal inspiration by the rest of the gorgeous Doodlelicious Diva at the blog here.

I'm back tomorrow with a Lili of the Valley sneak peek so see you then!

Lili of the Valley blog hop time!

The Lili of the Valley design team are having a blog hop today to showcase 6 new stamps of sweet girlies!  As you all know, the LOTV stamps are always the sweetest but I do especially love this release because of the different outfits they are all wearing - they are so sweet!  Here is my make using Cheerleader...

Isn't she fun?  And love her hair bouncing up like that with those cute pom poms too!  I used papers from the Candles and Cake pad and the sentiment is from the Handwritten Phrases set.  Lastly, I sprinkled some sequins (my current favourite embellishment!) around her to make it pop.
So back to the hop!  Do the usual thing and hop from post to post, leaving a comment on each along the way.  We have two full sets of these girls to win so good luck to all of you joining in!  You should have arrived here from lovely Lou and you now need to hop off to sweet Mindy.  If you need to start from the beginning, start at the Ideas to Inspire blog.
The new stamps which will be launched in our shop this Saturday at the open day and on the website next Monday.
I'll be back tomorrow with another sneak peek so see you then!

Thankful for you

Here is my other DT card for the SugarPea Designs September release that I didn't manage to share last week.  This one is called Bountiful Blessings and here is my DT making using this sweet set...

I love this set!  She is so pretty and I love the straw poking out like that with her tilted head!  I used more My Minds Eye papers and  Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Border dies. The fishtail banner is by La-La Land Crafts Stitched Elements set.  The flower border is a pre-cut die by Doodlebug which I coloured with my Copics to match the papers.

I hope you love her as much I do!  I'm off now but I'll be back again soon - ttfn!

Sunday 14 September 2014

Hola!

Something came up which meant that I missed the SugarPea Designs September release sneak peeks.  The frustrating thing was that I had my cards made but I hadn't photographed them in time, but I've now had time to do that so here is one of the sneak peeks showcasing Let's Fiesta!

Now this is my most fave of this month's release (although only by a narrow margin as I love them all!).  I matched him up with My Minds Eye papers and used a Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Border die. The speech bubble is by La-La Land Crafts Stitched Elements set.

Our fabulous September release is available in the SugarPea Designs Online Shoppe so go check out the new goodies now!

I'll be back soon next week so see you then!

Yep, another day to showcase more of the super fun La-La Land Crafts September release and today I have a spooky card to show you!

Hair: E35, E37

Isn't he adorable?  If I had a little boy, I'd wrap him up like in bandages for Halloween just like this!  And I love the details of the dies - the little peek holes on the spider are perfect!  I layered several layers of the cobweb die and inked around the edges of the tombstone.  The paper is by Authentique.

Thanks for visiting and I'll see you on my blog rounds tonight!
