Day 1 of the Lil' Inker Designs new release blog hop!

Its time for a new Lil' Inker Designs release and we are going to showcase new stamp sets by Sugar Kissed Cottage designer Lindsey Amschler and dies over a five day blog hop!  And of course what's a blog hop without prizes?  Make sure you comment as you hop long - the more you comment, the better your chance of winning!  We'll be giving away prizes for two secret prize blogs and a $10 store credit to two winners - you'll definitely want to hop!

So, onto my project!  What do you think of this fab Santa...

He he!  He definitely looks a bit sozzled!  This is Dear Santa and the set comes with a set of matching sentiments.  I also used the new Photo die too - this is soooo cool!  I've also made a Christmas ornament with it too which I hope to show you soon!  I used My Minds Eye I Believe papers and also Fluffy Stuff on his outfit trim.

My hubby's Christmas card!

Steve isn't really into cards, thinks they are a waste of money so it's difficult to make him one that I think he'll appreciate!  But once again I've made him one and I have NO IDEA if he'll like this one either!!

Hey ho, he's going to get it anyway!  I think he'll like it for its cleverness - this is Peas On Earth by Whimsie Doodles and I kept it all very simple (very unlike me!) with a touch of fluffy stuff on the hats, a little show of red cardstock and an embossed background.  I am itching to do more to it but know I shouldn't!!  To add or not to add?!!  Here's a close up - let me know what you think...

Sketch challenge over at Sparkles Creations Rubber Stamps!

Hi everyone! You still have another week to join in with the current fortnightly Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps challenge - a fab sketch! 

Here is my take on it...

I used Caroling Josh with freebie papers from Quick Cards (a UK magazine) - I don't normally use freebies because the quality is usually rubbish, but these ones were quite good!  I do you see the lickle ickle mittens?  This is one of the oldest mini punches I own and never ever used!  I used glitter cardstock to punch out them out and then fluffy stuff for the cuffs - uber cute!  Must remember to use my old punches!

Totally Ladybug Tuesday - DT challenge to make our own design paper!

It's Tuesday which means it's another Totally Ladybug Tuesday and this week our guest designer Ang challenged the design team to make our own design paper.  What a great challenge - I had so many ideas floating around my head I got dizzy!  I ended up making a design for Xmas as I really need to get my skates on with them, so here is my card...

I am loving those Nikki stamps more and more each time I use them!  She's sassy, funky and living life to the full - just like me in my other reality!!  I used white pigment ink on some snowflake stamps from CC Designs, first creating a border on the kraft cardstock and then randomly stamping it over the blue cardstock.  I also used Core'dinations whitewash cardstock on the bottom matting to "roughen" it up a bit - I'm trying to be less neat and tidy with my cards - I blame that Hayley and her shabby chic challenge last week...!

You can see from the close up that I used lots of mediums on this - ProMarkers, Glamour Dust and some Fluffy Stuff.  Did you see Kerry's tutorial here on using Fluffy Stuff?  The best part is that you don't have to wait for it to dry to puff it up - that's gonna save me a lot of time with my xmas card production line!  Off now to see what the gals made for this challenge, come and join me...!
