My top five from 2011!

The lovely Debby is encouraging us (with some candy of course!) to choose our top five makes of 2011.  Wow, this is so hard to do so I picked cards that represented my most natural style....

Using The Greeting Farm's Miss Anya Hats Off

Using Mo Manning for Stamping Bella called Rae with Journal

Using Kraftin Kimmie's fairy called Clarabelle

Using Kenny K's Download Diva

Using Pixie Dust Studio's Victoria from the Twilight collection

Well, that is it from me for 2011, roll on 2012!

A very happy New Year to you all and many thanks for your continued support and friendship!

Take a number over at Take The Pixie challenge!

Oh dear, I am very late with this card!  There is a fab new challenge over at Take The Pixie challenge and this week the theme is...

Countdown / numbers!

So, you can either do a countdown for the New Year or just use a number theme somehow on your make!  Here's what I came up with...

This is cutie Baby Bun Bun from the Oh Baby collection - adorable!  And I matched him up with papers from the Sweet Shoppe Design March digi paper collection.  I used the Sweet Sunday sketch - I missed the deadline for this but it is such a fab sketch, I'll be using it again for sure!

You can see more Pixie inspiration over at the Take The Pixie challenge blog.  Not sure if I'll be back by the end of the year - if not, have a fab time welcoming it in it!

Make It Monday sponsored by Di's Digis!

Happy Boxing Day everyone !  I hope you enjoyed your Xmas day - we had a fab time at my parents and today Steve and I are just veging out with Poppy and Lulu - that means an extra long walk today too what with all of the food we have consumed so far!  Thank goodness we have the Labs or we'd just sink into the sofa and become one with the leather!

Okay, so the new linky party has opened over at Make It Monday!  Today I'm sharing a birthday card for my friend who has a winter birthday (and, yes, she is as beautiful as this digi)...

I've used Baby It's Cold Outside by Sassy Studio Designs and matched her up with gorgeous papers from October Afternoon's Good Cheer paper pad.  I love the Stampin Up embossing folder - it looks like a knit weave so thought it would match her perfectly!  You can't see it well from the photos, but I used DCWV glitter cardstock for the snowflakes and Glamour Dust on her hat trims, here's a close up...

So the prize this week?  Di is generously offering the winner a £10 voucher from her store - Di's Digi Downloads!

Onto my pick of last week's entrants!  I chose this wonderful mini album by Tina of Bits and Scraps of My Life...

Created by Tina of Bits and Scraps of My Life

You go take a look at the other pages as they are all fab!  I love how she's used the colours and embellishing of each page, really came together beautifully!

Well that's it from me today - enjoy your Boxing Day!!

My Favourite Five Christmas Cards of 2011

The ever talented and sweet Debby has this fantastic idea to show off our five favourite christmas cards of 2011!  So here are mine...

First up is Scruffy from the Make It Crafty Elf Collection...

Second up is using this cutie penguin By LoRi Designs ...

Third up is a Saturated Canary beauty...

Fourth is the gorgeously sweet Winter Fairy by Sylvia Zet of Wee Stamps for Whimsy Stamps...

And lastly my fifth card is the one I made for my husand using Peas On Earth by Whimsie Doodles...

Phew, that was harder than I thought it would be!  Hope you can join in the fun too!

    Friday 23 December 2011

    An umbrella full of love!

Two sleeps to go - yay!  Steve has now wrapped all of my Xmas pressies and they are razzing me from under the tree - "open me, open me!"  they say!  So I keep a wide berth from the tree....  Okay, you can tell I'm excited, right?!  And we don't even have kids!

No Xmas card to share today but instead a card I made for Tiffany's Doodles using this really lovely Umbrella with Hearts digi...

Aahhh, I love this sweet digi!  Not sure what I'm going to use it for yet - a thank you or a birthday card - either will do!

Okay, that's it from me for today - have a lovely Friday everyone and don't get too excited (like me!!)

Use 3 DPs over at Take The Pixie challenge!

It's fabby Thursday which means a new challenge over at Take The Pixie challenge and this week we want to see you use at least 3 different design papers!  Here is my take on it...

Oh, I think this one of my all time Xmas images!  This is Pixie Dust Studio's Socket the Reindeer from the Winter collection.  I matched him up with 3 papers from the My Minds Eye 12 Days of Christmas pad.  The sentiment inside is by Stampendous - one I haven't used for several years (amongst many other stamps!!).

Okay, that's it from me today - check the challenge blog here for more gorgossity!!

    My hubby's Christmas card!

Steve isn't really into cards, thinks they are a waste of money so it's difficult to make him one that I think he'll appreciate!  But once again I've made him one and I have NO IDEA if he'll like this one either!!

Hey ho, he's going to get it anyway!  I think he'll like it for its cleverness - this is Peas On Earth by Whimsie Doodles and I kept it all very simple (very unlike me!) with a touch of fluffy stuff on the hats, a little show of red cardstock and an embossed background.  I am itching to do more to it but know I shouldn't!!  To add or not to add?!!  Here's a close up - let me know what you think...

Back tomorrow with my Pixie Dust Studios DT card!

I wanted to share a very special fairy with you - a very blue, whimsical Xmas card using Tickled Winter Snowflake Fairy Nadine...

She is so LOVELY, don't cha think?!  I used more gorgeous paper from the October Afternoon Good Cheer paper pack and that huge Cuttlebug snowflake die cut from glitter cardstock.  I used Glamour Dust generously and some organza ribbon along the bottom with a Pink Petticoat sentiment using my Stampin Up window punch.
