hb 2u!

I'm here today with my guest designer card for this week's new Tuesday Morning Sketches.  I am lovin' these sketches - I'm so glad the sweet and talented Theresa invited me to join them this month!  This week we are being sponsored by Bugaboo - you know you wanna join in for a chance to win some of these cute, fun digis!  Here is my take on it using Birthday Monkey Topper...

I loved playing with this sketch!  I used Echo Park Sweet Summertime papers and did some reverse embossing with my Craft Concepts star embossing folder.   I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp challenge for happy birthday.

I hope you can play along with us this week!  You can check out more gorgeous inspiration from the design team here!

Make It Monday sponsored by Bugaboos!

It's time for a new linky party over at Make It Monday and today we are being sponsored by the fun lovin' Bugaboo Stamps!  So here is my card using Roly Poly Chef Pie...

Yum!  I love this guy and his pie - I'm not sure why I painted that pie topping green - perhaps it's an olive, or a brussel sprout!!    The papers are from a digi collection called Spring Time by Shery K Designs and the sentiment is from My Favorite Things Clearly Sentiment About Food set - the perfect match with these cuties!

So this week the lovely Bugaboo Stamps are offering a very generous prize of winner's choice of 7 single digis!

So onto my pick of the week is from sweet Amanda of Amanda's Paper Palace...

Created by Amanda of Amanda's Paper Palace

I love the soft feminine look Amanda has created with this cute CC Designs Nora!  I also love how she's done the sentiment and added the teeny tiny flowers!  Thanks for sharing with us Amanda!

Okay, that is it from me today - our Pollycraft Mondays challenges are now fortnightly so nothing to show you for this week.  Hope you all have a fabby week!

Make It Monday sponsored by Bugaboos!

Okay, so first things, first - did I get my Lindt egg from the hubster?  NO!!  But instead he got a real egg, emptied it and filled it with dark and white chocolate!!  He made one for each of my immediate family too - that's 9!!  A whole solid choccie egg, not a hollow one - what a sweetie!

Anyhoo, it's time for a new linky party over at Make It Monday and today we are being sponsored by the fun lovin' Bugaboo Stamps!  So here is my card using Bobblehead Zoo Monkey...

C'mon, tell me this little fella didn't put a smile on your face?!!  I kept smiling when I was making this card - he is just tooo darn cute!!  So, I matched him up with papers from My Minds Eye Just The Girls and the sentiment is from The Flipflop set by Ladybug Crafts Ink.  For the dies, I used My Favorite Things cloud dies and a Quickutz branch die.

So this week the lovely Bugaboo Stamps are offering a very generous prize of winner's choice of 7 single digis!  I wish I could win it because there are a whole load of bobbleheads to collect!

So onto my pick of the week by the lovely Jan of She's Gone Digital....

Make It Monday sponsored by Bugaboos!

A new linky party has opened over at Make It Monday and we are being sponsored by the fun and brilliant Bugaboos!  Here is my make for my DT card using JJ Housework Cook...

This is me cooking!  I love to have a glass of wine while I cook (and the wine is never in the recipe!) - I find the whole process of preparing the food and creating the final dish very relaxing.

Our fun sponsors Bugaboo Stamps are generously offering 7 single digis to the lucky random winner!

For my pick of last week's entrants I chose this fun, cute card by Becky of Bouncy, Flouncy, fun, Fun, fun

A new linky party has opened over at Make It Monday!  We have another new sponsor for us - the ever fun Bugaboos!  Well, I own so many of these that I'm so pleased that I have a good reason to use them more!  Today I used Critter Balloons Cat...

Dinky, isn't he?!!    And do you love that paper?  My sweet friend Michelle sent it to me and I've been saving it for something special!

Want a chance to win your own fun digis?  All you've got to do to be in with a chance to win is leave a comment for another entrant this week.  Be sure to let them know you saw them on Make It Monday!  The more entries you comment on the more chances you have of winning!

Use your scraps over at Flutter By Wednesday!

It's a new challenge over at Flutter By Wednesday and this week we are encouraging you to use your scraps!  A very useful challenge I'm sure you'll agree!  I pulled out one of my older paper collections My Minds Eye Alphabet Soup Girl (currently 15% off over at Quixotic Paperie here!).  I used my Nesties to make the perfect squares from the bits of scrap paper and made the flowers out of scraps of white cardstock...

I won over at the Catch the Bug challenge recently and this sweet digi was one of my prizes!  She is called Wee One Fairy - aint' she cute?!  I have loads of Bugaboos but don't get a chance to use them - really should play with them more as they are so much FUN!

Don't forget to add butterflies, fairies or angels on your make somewhere - you can get all the deets here!

      Hello dahhhhling!

Hello everyone - is your weekend going well?  The weather has turned very cold in Britian after a lovely sunny warm week - boo!!  Still, we are going to brave it tday and go for our weekly long walk along the South coast of England -  it will be bbbrrracing!!!

Did you see how many monochromatic challenges there were this week?!!  Yeah, I know we had one for Ladybug Crafts Ink too (and there's still time to join in!)!  Isn't it funny how so many challenge blogs chose it for their theme in the same week?!  Freaky.  I made another one as I enjoyed making my Totally Ladybug Tuesday card so much (you can see it here)...

I've been meaning to use one of those Bugaboo digis for aaaaages!  They are so sweet and really funny too!!  This one is Scarlett in Cape Dress and I glittered up her dress with Glamour Dust after first colouring it in with shades of grey to give it depth.

I used Bazzill Bling for the card base and matting - it's got a lovely shimmer to it which you can't see well in the photo.  I wrapped a piece of cream crochet lace around the middle (I bought mine from Ladybug Crafts Ink here) and then a black satin ribbon around that for a luxurious touch - I really liked how this came out!  Those gorgeous papers are from the Echo Park Be Mine paper pack (from Quixotic Paperie here).

I made this card for this week's Catch the Bug monochromatic challenge, Totally Stampalicious (I won 2nd prize last week - woo hoo!) for paper piercing, the Scrapbook Sisters Card challenge for anything goes and I used this month's Sketch For You To Try...

Well, off to get ready for our walk.  Now where's my scarf...  Have a lovely day!

      Just a dino note!

Where did our sun go?!  We were promised a day of sunshine yesterday but it only lasted for a few hours and then it took refuge behind the grey, grey clouds again!  Well March is just around the corner so it can only get better!

Before I get onto my card, I know many of you are interested in how to colour with Copics.  As you know, I did a tutorial for blonde hair (here) and now Elaine over at Quixotic Paperie has done for skin tones here. Anyone who has seen Elaine's work will know she is an amazing colourer (is that a word?!) so it's definitely worth a peak!

Okay, so my card today features this really sweet Bugaboo's Dino Stand - see that lickle, ickle heart on his butt?!!  Too cute, just too cute!

I used the February sketch over at i{heart}2stamp and I teamed the little cutie with the BasicGrey Origins papers.  To give it that used look, I embossed the kraft cardstock and used some stripped corrugated cardboard.  I got this idea from Kim Dellow who is the queen of using this stuff so imaginatively!  Thanks Kim honey!  I also got to use up another one of those clips - I have a ton of these in assorted colours - must have bought them in a sale somewhere a very long time ago!

That's it from me today!  See you tomorrow with my cards for A Spoonful of Sugar and Totally Ladybug Tuesday!

      Paper/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock, BasicGrey Origins

      If elephants could fly...

Happy Sunday everyone!  That sounds more upbeat than I'm feeling - the grey, grey, wet weather in the UK is dampening my spirits!  Hey ho, I complain vigorously about the weather about this time of the year and do you think anything's changed?  Nope!  You'd think I'd learn...

Today's card did put a smile on my face when I put together this morning - fresh and bright, the way I like my cards!

I made this card for this week's Totally Stampalicious challenge to make a card with the theme of Monday Blues.  I've had this little cutie coloured in for about a month but never had the inspiration to make a card with it - it was obviously fate for it to be made especially for this challenge, lol!!

You can see in the close up those small white pearly dots in the background - I've found this amazing stuff called Viva Decor at Quixotic Paperie,  These mediums come in gloss gel, pearl and glitter and are amazing because they hold their 3D shape.  Also, unlike the some other makes - it dries properly rounded without the usual peaks you need to tap out.  They come in tubes with small nozzles that are really easy to squeeze so you can create just the right size of pearls you want and are easy to draw lines with too.  I've used white opaque gloss gel - it's even more gorgeous in real life!  You can buy them here.

Those eagled eyed out there will notice that I haven't done the inside yet - I've forgotten which blue ink I used for the background so I'll have to find some time to find it again!  That'll have to wait to later on as we're off now to walk the dogs - yep, in the pouring rain, hmmph...

Paper/cardstock: Papermania white cardstock, DCWV vibrant blue cardstock

Stamps: Bugaboo Critter Balloon elephant (digi you can buy here), Hero Arts background
Mediums: Copic markers, Glossy Accents (on balloon), Viva Decor glossy pen in opaque, Versamagic blue ink
Accents: ribbons from stash, American Crafts rub on sentiments
      Tools: EK Success border punch
