Woo hoo!

I was super chuffed to see that one of my cards for Lili of the Valley made it as the focal point on this month's edition of Simply Cards and Papercrafts #128!  Check this out...

My mum is going to be so proud when she sees this - it's almost like I'm a celebrity when I get in a mag, lol!  And here are all of the cards that are featured in this edition...

Using Penguin Pals...

These two using Ice Christmas...

These two using Frosty Fun...

This one using Snow Flurries...

And lastly this card also using Snow Flurries made it onto their blog as a bonus card...

I love these penguins!  And I also used papers from the new Festive Trimmings pad and sentiments from the Christmas Wishes stamp set.

Whew, that was a lot of cards I made in less than a week!  But it was well worth it to see them published!  I'm going to enter these into Squirrel's The Great Penguin Challenge 2014.

Now I'm off to bed to get a good rest for another busy, busy week at work!

Penguins are so cute!

There's a new SugarPea Designs challenge starting today and the theme is Anything Goes!  So here is my DT make using one of my all time favourite sets Rice Rice Baby...

I can't stop using this little fella - he is so cute and so fab to colour in too (read that as "quick"!!).  I used a Sizzix triangle embossing folder for the background and some Digital Design Essentials stripey with a touch of red and orange.

You can use any stamp you like for these challenges but if you win and use a SugarPea Designs set, we'll top your voucher up to $15!  Check out the deets and more gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog.

Thanks for visiting and I'll be back on Friday with my DT make for La-La Land Crafts - ttfn!

You blow me away

It's SugarPea Designs new sketch time!  And the new sketch is so up my street that I think I use this layout a lot (see my post from yesterday - made without even knowing it!!).  So here is my take on it...

I love this fella!  He is from the Blow Me Away set and the good news is that the Summer sale is on now with 25% off all sets!  I used My Minds Eye papers and Sizzix triangle embossing folder.

Here's a look at the full set - I love the sentiments in this...

Check out the rest of the gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog.  I'll be back tomorrow with my Lili of the Valley DT post - see you then!

Guesting for La-La Lands Crafts!

As some of you know, I've stepped down from several design teams in recent months (down to 3 from 8 teams this time last year!).  This was mainly because I felt my style was becoming a bit stale and wanted to free up more time to explore my style more and also use other brands.  Well I'm very excited to share today that my lovely blog mate Sandie invited me to do a guest designer spot for La-La Land Crafts for the next two months.  I've never used this brand before and I must say that I've fallen in love with it!

Today is Inspiration Friday over at the La-La Land Crafts blog and this week's theme is Glitter Mania!  So here is my very first make for them using the stylish Jesalyn and the gorgeous Berry Flourish die.

This stamp is so perfect for one of my city friends - so classy!  And I love the Berry Flourish - so beautiful and I topped it off with some sweet paper flowers.

I don't normally use glitter much but there are lots on her jewellery, shoes and flowers.  I also used some iridescent sequins to add to the shimmer.

Copics used:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E21
Lips ~ RV52, RV55
Eyes ~ G20, G43, G46
Hair ~ E50, E51, E53
Dress ~ C9, C7, C5, C3

I must say though that I felt under a bit of performance pressure creating my first card for them - this is a seriously talented team and their colouring skills are amazing!  I know I'm going to learn a lot from this bunch of gals!

Okay, I'm off now but don't forget to check out the rest of the gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog here while I decide who to give this beauty to!

Upside down fun!

The new Lili of the Valley Annabel stamps are available in the shop today from midday!  I love this release so much - I'm going to get a lot of use out of them.  Here is my DT make using Upside Down...

I had so much fun making this card - wheeeee!!!!  Sorry, childhood memories resurfacing there!  I matched her up with papers from the Promises pad and a sentiment from the Scroll Sentiments set.  The embossing folder is by Sizzix and I layered some My Favorite Things grass die cuts for extra depth.

You can check out more Annabel inspiration over at the Ideas to Inspire blog.  I'll see you later on my blog rounds - ttfn!

Onesie love!

It's Bellarific Friday and this week we had a sketch to follow so here is my Bellarific Babe card take on it...

This is Uptown Girl Brynn and Her Baby Shower and I used Echo Park Bundle of Joy papers and a Sizzix heart embossing folder.  I think I went a bit over the top with the shading - went a bit too heavy handed with the pen!

The next Bellarific Friday is to be inspired by the photo below...

Send your creations to Em by next Thursday for a chance to win some Bella Bucks!

Oh so cute!!!  I love this set!  I used Lili of the Valley Winter Wishes paper and my Sizzix heart embossing folder.  This is definitely going to a male work colleague who owns a pug!  The set also includes Christmas versions of this adorable dog!

Getting married

I'm here today with my Bellarific Babe card using Uptown Couple Brett and Brenda Get Married...

I wanted to keep this card as simple and fresh as possible - that gorgeous couple don't need anything else!  I used a Sizzix embossing folder and a touch of ribbon with lots of Stickles glitter glue on her shoes and dress trim.

I'm sorry I've been such a bad blogger recently.  I really want to visit you all but work and DT commitments are keeping me very very busy!  I hope to be back on course soon (famous last words!).

Birthday girl

(Please scroll down for my CC Designs DT review post!)

It's time for a new fortnightly Pollycrafts challenge and this time Jane has set the theme of Birthday Girls - easy peasy!  Here is my DT take on it...

This is one of the gorgeous girly Lil Dumplings called Fleur - I loved colouring in her hair with my Copics!  I matched her up with Digital Design Essentials papers and used a Sizzix butterfly embossing folder for the background.  The flower border is a Doodlebug Paper Frill.

I hope you can play along with us - you have a fortnight to upload your project to the blog here.  I gotta go now but thanks for visiting!

There She Goes Bewitched By You Blog Hop Challenge

It's the start of  the There She Goes Blog Hop Challenges to show off all of the September new release!  Today we are showcasing two new sets - one from Torico called Bewitched By You and a sentiment set called Totally Witchin'.

These are super fun sets!  So much fun that I made two projects to show you today...

So my first project is this treat holder for those yummy lollies!  Isn't she cool - not really scarey - her eyes give away her sweetness inside!  And love the sentiment from the Totally Witchin' set - there are some funny phrases in there!

Here is my second, a card...

That Torico is so talented - so brilliant how she's got her sitting on that broomstick and peeking back over her shoulder!  And I love the bum detail too - cheeky!  That ribbon is a lot darker in real life but just couldn't get it right with Picasa (so annoying!).

I think you'll agree that these are great additions to the There She Goes stamp collection!  I'll be back tomorrow with our second day of the new release!

You're a winner - yay!

(Please scroll down for my CC Designs DT review post!)

It's time for a new fortnightly Pollycrafts challenge and this time I have set the theme of Harvest Colours - so all those rich, browns, reds, greens, yellows - you get the picture!  Here is my DT take on it...

This is one of the cute Lil Dumplings called Champ - I just wanna pinch his cheeks, he's so darn cute!  I matched him up with Echo Park papers and used a Sizzix striped embossing folder with kraft cardstock.

I hope you can play along with us - you have a fortnight to upload your project to the blog here.  I gotta go now but thanks for visiting!
