10th birthday celebration

Hi all! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and for those in the UK are looking forward to one more day off today! The weather isn't as bad as predicted for East Sussex so hopefully it won't rain!

Anyhoo, I really must stop focusing on our rubbish UKweather! Here is a card I made for my nephew who will be 10 years old very soon. Goodness, where does the time go? Was I really only 31 years old when he was born?! I was still partying! And now all I want to do is have early nights so I have enough energy to get through a day's work, lol! I used this month's By the Cute and Girly challenge theme "celebration".

I think perhaps the ribbon is a little girly for a little boy, huh?! Not sure what to replace it with though, a bit plain without anything - any suggestions most welcome!

Papers/cardstock: various cardstock, My Minds Eye Just Dreamy Star Bright paper pack
Stamps: none
Mediums: none
Accents: BasicGrey buttons, ribbon and number die cuts from stash, jute ribbon (from Bunny Zoe's
here)
Tools: EK Success photo corner punch

What a fun and energetic card! I love the mesh ribbon. Boy cards are so difficult to embellish and I have no words of wisdom or ideas to share other than I don't think the ribbon looks girly at all.

Hi Mary - what a bright and cheerful card . I am sure he will love it ! The ribbon is fine - there's only a little bit and as you say it finishes off the card.
Thanks for joining in the BTC&G challenge this month. Good luck in the draw!
