Fave colour monochromatic challenge over at Take the Pixie Challenge!

(Please scroll down for my Quixotic Inspirations DT card!)

Ooooohhh, today is my first DT card for the Take the Pixie Challenge!  And this week we are challenging you to take your favourite colour (okay, not really challenging) and to create a monochromatic card with it (a bit more challenging perhaps!).  Orange is actually my most fave colour ever but I've made so many cards with it recently that I've lost my mojo with it!  So I decided to go for my second favourite colour instead - teal...

Now I luuuuurve this colour but don't use it often so it was a pleasure to make this card using the ever sweet Wink Pretends - he's delightful, don't you think?! I matched him up with my Cosmo Cricket Togetherness paper pad (from Quixotic Paperie here) and with a sentiment from the Paper Makeup Sailing By stamp set (here).

You can see the rest of the gorgeous DT inspiration here - I hope you get to play along with us for a chance to win a gorgeous Pixie Dust Studio digi!  You don't have to use a PDS image but we love it when you do!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Paper/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock, Cosmo Cricket Togetherness paper pad (from Quixotic Paperie here)
Stamps:  Pixie Dust Studios Wink Pretends, Paper Makeup Sailing By sentiment (here)
Mediums: Copics, Distress Ink in Antique Linen
Accents: web ribbon

Tools: Nestabilitie dies, distressing tool

The cat's out of the bag!

I'm here again to show you a card I made for one of my male friends who has recently got a new job using more gorgeous goodies from Quixotic Paperie...

I find grown up male cards are pretty hard to make (give me a boy anytime!!) but I thought this image was cute but not girlie - so hopefully suitable! This is Mo Manning's Cat's Out of the Bag for Stamping Bella - such a great image and it's currently got 15% off!  I used the blue checked papers from the My Minds Eye Lime Twist Fly a Kite paper pad and the grey spot paper from the Echo Park Be Mine paper pad.

Hope you like!  Back later with my DT card for the Pixie Dust Studios challenge!

It must be love...

Wow, is it really Wednesday already?!  Woo hoo - only two more days to go and then I'm off work for two weeks!!  Roll on Friday....

Anyhoo, I'm here today to show off some of my latest goodies from Quixotic Paperie with a card using the Geeky Love stamp by Make It Crafty...

Isn't it a fun image?!  I just love it!  I matched it up with papers from the My Minds Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky paper pad and used my Sew Easy Tool with the straight head to stop it from being too plain.  I am going to send this to my friend (who is a self confessed geek!) who has recently got engaged to her geeky boyfriend (that's really how she describes him!  He's actually very dishy!).

Thanks for visiting me today!  I love reading all of your comments and appreciate all of your encouragement!
