Happy Mother's Day!

Yay! I managed to finish two Mother Day's card - for my mum (of course) and my in-law (who is nearly as good as my own!). Here they are...

Practically the same, except fot the size of the patterned paper and the circle scallops. I think I prefer the larger background and the more subtle scallop. But hey I think they are both okay! The card base is pearlescent - looks really lovely and emphasises the Glamour Dust bubbles! I also paper pieced the candles so lots of depth.

These cards took me aaaaages! I was trying to fit them to a sketch challenge but it just wasn't working so I came up with this very simple, unoriginal design (apologies if it looks like I've stolen it from someone!). That means that the only challenge I can submit it to is Anyone For Anya's Mum's the Word.

AND, I've nearly finished the wedding stationery! Should be able to photograph and upload them tomorrow - hoorah!

Papers/cardstock: Pearlescent pre-made card from stock, BasicGrey Lemonade paper pad, Doodlebug blue cardstock
Mediums: Copic Caios, Memento black ink, Glamour Dust
Stamps: TGF Me Time Anya, sentiment from CC Designs All Women
Accents: gems from stash

Tools: Fiskars scallop edge trimmer

I love the shimmer in the card base and prefer the scallop loops in the first card to the more subtle scallop. Both cards are stunning and perfect for Mother's Day.
