Just a note to say...

Hello! I did a bit of a boo boo and forgot to change the settings on my post I prepared yesterday for my Totally Gorjuss DT card! I published it this morning but of course it's showing up as yesterday! So if you want to see my DT card (and I'm very pleased with it so please do so!), scroll down a bit or click here.
Anyway, onto my next card, I thought I'd bring some sunshine back as our British summer seems to have disappeared for the mo'!

Yes, still loving those CC Designs! This is another little lady I coloured in weeks ago. I used this week's Anyone for Anya sketch - it looked quite easy, but I found it really, really hard! I have lots of cut up sections of design paper that just wouldn't work together! I'm quite pleased with the final version - when I finally got there!

Ahoy there!

Hi everyone - a quickie from me! One of my projects exploded this week (well, that's how it felt!) so once again I haven't spent as much time on crafting as I wanted. Hey ho, next week will be better [with my fingers crossed]. I coloured in this little lady weeks ago and never did anything with her - I have lots of coloured in images with no home yet! Determined not to stamp something new, I made a card with her and I'm pleased with the way she came out....

I used last week's Friday Sketcher's sketch - missed the deadline though - I am getting very good at missing deadlines! Nevermind, going to submit it anyway!

I have another DT card for Totally Gorjuss new challenge so I hope you can by tomorrow to see my card! Until then, adieu!

Totally cute!

Happy weekend everyone! Here is my next DT card for this week's Totally Gorjuss challenge "baby baby". I used the freebie image I received from Pollycrafts - this isn't available in their store, you needed to have completed an earlier challenge. I bet you wished you joined in (if you didn't!) cos these turtles are really, really cute!!! They've got 25% off in the store at the moment so I think I'll go take a peek at what else they have (must keep strong, must not buy...). So here is my card...

I've made this card for my cousin Vicky's arrival due in September - so I'm well prepared! I used The Sweet Stop Shops sketch, but I think I missed the deadline! Hey ho, another one missed, but it was a brilliant sketch to use! I'm also entering into the Pollycraft Flash your Freebies part 2 (of course!)

Bunny Zoe's Summer days challenge

I am a big fan of Nikki of Bunny Zoe Crafts as she has amazing colouring skills - well I just had to join in her new monthly challenge blog, didn't I?! This monthly's challenge is "Summer Days" and you have until 8 August to submit your project. It doesn't have to be a card, but I'm not yet that creative to make anything else!! So here is my card...

We grew up in Greater London, but moved to East Sussex four years ago because we love the sea - BIG time! We now live just 30 mins drive to the coast (and a daily nearly a 4 hour commute into London) and we drive to the beach any opportunity that looks like it's not going to rain! Hence, my card - we love sitting on the beach, with our dogs sniffing around us, reading books, having a picnic/beach barbeque and generally being relaxed, listening to the sea. Bliss! My dream is to one day own a house with a balcony that has an ocean view. Heaven!

It took me aaages to make this card - I sort of knew what I wanted to make but I didn't really know the detail! Until I saw this week's Taylored Expressions sketch and - wham! - it just came to me! I am also submitting this card to the following challenges:

By the cute and girly - warm sunny days
Sir Stampalot - Lazy Hazy Days of Summer

Well, it's the end of the weekend, off to bed for an early start at work. *See* you tomorrow - hopefully!

Stamps: Magnolia romantic sunset background, Magnolia dragonflies

What could be better than a pile of yummy cupcakes?!

Now don't tell me you haven't seen a craze recently of those yummy, yummy beautifully crafted cupcakes around - you have, right?! I first saw these gorgeous cupcakes for cardmaking about a year ago and now they seem to be EVERYWHERE - department stores, coffee shops, supermarkets - everywhere! And I must say, I love the look of them and - you won't believe this - haven't bought one yet! Anyhoo, waffling away and all you may be interested in is seeing my card! Here it is...

This is the first time I have inked this little beauty up and she was an utter pleasure to colour in! Looks like I have another fav stamp company (must hide the credit card....) I used this week's Simon Says sketch...

A fab sketch to highlight any stamp, don't you think? The simple ones are always the best, or at least easy to achieve when you have limited time! Come back tomorrow when I have another Totally Gorjuss card for you! ;)

Totally Gorjuss congratulations challenge!

Hello! I hope you have all had a super week - mine has been surprisingly busy (although I don't know why I was surprised as it was my first week back from my summer break!). I didn't create as many cards as I wanted to but I do have lots lined up. Luckily I managed to complete my DT card for this week's Totally Gorjuss challenge "Congratulations" theme. My card is for my friend who recently got a promotion in her job and she works in the music industry so this stamp is perfect for her! Well, I think so anyway and I hope she does too!

I used the sketch from Crafty Sentiments and I think I managed to meet the deadline! Take a look at the other lovely DT creations over at Totally Gorjuss and I hope you can play along with us!

Hello, is it me you're looking for?

I can see it in your eyes... I can see it in your smile ... Aaahh, I just luuurve Lionel Richie songs! I make a lot of "hello" cards and that song never fails to pop into my head when I'm making them! Anyway, enough of the waffle. Here is today's card....

I used my Gorjuss Sitting stamp - isn't she just lovely? I loved putting her with the delicate print. I used this week's Quixotic challenge photo inspiration and The Sweet Stop sketch with a tag - both perfect in enhancing this little lady! Hope you think so too!

Dudley and his balloon

Hi all! Hope you have had a super weekend. Today was the last of my holiday and back to work tomorrow - boo! Still, at least I enjoy my work, just can't bear the thought of getting up before 6am and spending over an hour and half on the commuter train - bleh. It's been a wonderful week with my hubby, Steve, exploring the area that I live in (East Sussex, England). The weather has been fab and I got lots and lots and lots of crafting time! I have some "work in progress" cards to give me a head start for this coming week so I should have lots to show over the coming days.

Today I have a baby card using a Pollycraft freebie digi called Dudley. Isn't he gorgeous?! He was a pleasure to colour in and, better still, as a thank you from Pollycrafts you will receive a new digi for free if you "flash your freebies"! All you need to do is make something using one of Pollycraft's past freebies and show it here. Easy huh? Here is my card...

I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch, but I missed the deadline again! D'oh. Nevermind, I like how the card came out anyway! I'm also submitting it to this weeks Pollycraft's challenge of bold and bright - cos you can't get much brighter than lime green!

Don't forget to submit a card to the Totally Gorjuss challenge "Thinking of You" - a nice easy one to complete!

Papers/cardstock: Papermania white cardstock, American Crafts green cardstock, BasicGrey Lemonade paper pack
Mediums: Copic Ciaos, Versamagic lime green ink

Another Totally Gorjuss card!

No, I'm not being big-headed! But it's my next DT card for the new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss. This week's theme is "thinking of you" - this one was easy peasy as I seem to need these types of cards all the time!

I got inspiration from the Anyone for Anya challenge to use pink, white and black. I spent aaaages doing her hair. Let me know anyone if you've seen a tutorial on doing black hair with Copic pens - I think mine came out okay, but she looks like she's going grey instead of having black shiny hair, lol!!!

I must make more different shaped cards - they are so much more interesting than my usual square or my little more adventurous rectangular cards, lol! Round cards just make any card cute, don't you think? And the label ones look so much more sophisticated - perhaps I'll make one of those next and really challenge myself!

Take a look at the other DT cards over at Totally Gorjuss - they are one bunch of talented ladies! I hope you get to play along too!

Papers/cardstock: gingham paper from stash, Bazzill white and black cardstock

I hate doing the laundry...

Hi all! I've been on holiday for the past week and a half but we decided not to go abroad and instead explore the area (East Sussex, England) that we moved to nearly four years ago. We've had a great time spending time with our dogs on different beaches, trying out new restaurants and exploring towns. The problem with staying at home though is that you just end up using up your whole wardrobe instead of being limited to what's in your suitcase! You won't believe how much washing I had to do yesterday and now my pile of my ironing is a mile high! Groan...will do it tonight while the weather has cooled down.

So of course I thought this Anya image would be perfect for today! I'm not sure if I like this card but perhaps that's because I just hate anything associated to do with ironing!!! I used this week's Card Positioning Systems sketch.

i {heart} 2 stamp - and I certainly do!

I do like to try to challenge myself by making cards without stamps, but I do love colouring in stamped images! I can't draw very well at all so thank goodness for all those fantastic stamp companies out there! I used CC Designs Swiss Pixies Birgitta on a tree stump with this week's i {heart} 2 stamp sketch...

Yeah, me again with another card! How many is that in a row? At least 4 - a record for me, methinks! Okay, enough patting myself on the head, here is my card....

I was inspired by this week's Sweet Stampin challenge "Things with Wings" (so who HASN'T got a fairy in their stash?!) and I used this week's All That Scraps sketch. I have another CC Designs image stamped and coloured in so *see* you tomorrow!

I used this week's Friday Sketchers sketch and I am also entering this card into the following challenges...
Just Magnolia - 3 flowers, 2 papers and 1 ribbon
Cute Card Thursday - School's out for Summer (for my niece's school summer holiday)
Craftalicious challenge - cute (and you can't get more cuter than this elephant, huh?!)

Phew! That's a lot of challenges in one go for me! I have another card nearly ready so see you tomorrow!
