Holiday, get away, it would be so nice...tra la la la la...

Anybody out there old enough to remember Madonna's old songs?!! I found myself humming this when I made this card with a tropical scene - and now I wish I was in the Caribbean! Still, we are having the most fantastic weather in the south of England - long may it last! (Although rain is predicted tomorrow!) And it just occurred to me that I could have used this as my DT card for Totally Gorjuss as it has a water theme too!

I used this week's The Sweet Stop sketch which was perfect for the scene. I'm really enjoying making these scenery cards - perhaps it's now my thing!

Wow, see how many cards I've been making recently! It's because I'm actually on holiday so no interruptions from work - bliss! And I've got another week to go so more card making - yay!! See you tomorrow no doubt!

Papers/cardstock: Bazzill kraft cardstock, Co'redinations brown cardstock
Stamps: Magnolia waterfall background and jungle sign
Mediums: Copic Caios
Accents: jute ribbon in light brown (from Bunny Zoe's Crafts here), raffia ribbon from John Lewis
Tools: EK Success border punch

I love the dimension you have created with this card, oh heck, I love it all, the textured ribbon the layout right down to the distressed edges. Just gorgeous.

Oh my gosh this card is incredible Mary! I love scene cards and in fact it was those kind of cards that got me started in stamping. Your card is so beautiful and this totally screams your style! Just so fabulous! You've now inspired me to start creating more scene cards myself. Hugs, Carly
