A little hello

Thanks everyone for your lovely thoughtful comments about my grandma.  She is a little better today but not by much.  The doctors are giving her a 50/50 chance of leaving the hospital alive.

But onto something happier.  Here is my entry into this month's Birdie Brown challenge where we get to use her freebie digis!  And this month she gave us two freebies to work with and here's what I did with them...

I love that apple tree and sweet bear!  I also used MFT Die-Namics Picket Fence, Flat Bottom Cloud and My Mind's Eye Sweetest Thing Bluebell paper pad.

Okay, I am off now.  Thanks again for visiting and I will see you this evening on my blog rounds as I'm missing your inspiration!

Spooky treats!

Hi everyone - I'm sorry I haven't been around much in blogland for the past couple of days.  My grandma - who is 89 years old - collapsed at home last weekend.  She seemed to be recovering but in the last couple of days has taken a turn for the worst.  She's still in hospital and looking very frail.  It's heartbreaking.  I'm feeling sad and reflective.  Tears keep welling up with the memories.  And then I remember I need to keep strong for my dad, uncles and aunties, after all it's their mum.  I must remember to hug my own mum more.  Oh dear, I'm off again...

Anyhoo, we are here continuing with our week of Halloween inspiration showcasing  spooky stash at Quixotic Paperie.  Today I want to share with you some treat holders that I made and filled with lollies that I shared on Quixotic Inspirations yesterday...

Yum, don't cha think?!  These are definitely going to my niece and nephew - they are tooo cute!  I used papers from the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor pad and more My Favorite Things Die-Namics...

Because I used the Lollipop Treat die and stamp set, they were super fast to make - both only took me 20 minutes to make!  And there are some more generic sentiments in the set so it's not just for Halloween - I'm gonna be making lots more of these!  Here's a closer look...

Okay, that's all from me now.  Have a lovely weekend everyone and I will be round to see you all soon.

Big hugs to you all,
I appreciate every single one of my blog friends

For the base, I used Black Soot Distress Ink and then I sprayed Ranger Adirondack Colour Wash Spray in Lettuce for a gooey sheen!  Paper-wise, I used the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor pad and of course I used lots of My Favorite Things Die-Namics...

Okay, that is it from me today - I hope you liked my scarey project!  Don't forget to see this post here to be in for a chance to win the prize giveaway!!

Picture perfect!

Happy weekend everyone!  I'm here today with my Whimsie Doodle DT post.  Today I am showing you a card I made using the one of the sassy, cool gals from the Social Teen range.  This is my take using Facebook...

Didn't I say she was sassy and cool?!  I love this range!  I matched her up with digi papers by Melissa Bennett called Sweet n Sassy and Lil' Inker Designs Of the Heart Die.  For the layout, I used the current CASE Study Challenge #109, inspired by Torico.

Hot pink and orange is my all time favourite colour combination - it's so vibrant and alive!  I tried my hand at colouring dark red hair with my Copics and I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out.  In case you're interested, I used E02, E08 and E18.

Well, I hope you like my card.  Thanks for visiting and I'll see you later on my blog rounds!
