Bunny Zoe's Summer days challenge

I am a big fan of Nikki of Bunny Zoe Crafts as she has amazing colouring skills - well I just had to join in her new monthly challenge blog, didn't I?! This monthly's challenge is "Summer Days" and you have until 8 August to submit your project. It doesn't have to be a card, but I'm not yet that creative to make anything else!! So here is my card...

We grew up in Greater London, but moved to East Sussex four years ago because we love the sea - BIG time! We now live just 30 mins drive to the coast (and a daily nearly a 4 hour commute into London) and we drive to the beach any opportunity that looks like it's not going to rain! Hence, my card - we love sitting on the beach, with our dogs sniffing around us, reading books, having a picnic/beach barbeque and generally being relaxed, listening to the sea. Bliss! My dream is to one day own a house with a balcony that has an ocean view. Heaven!

It took me aaages to make this card - I sort of knew what I wanted to make but I didn't really know the detail! Until I saw this week's Taylored Expressions sketch and - wham! - it just came to me! I am also submitting this card to the following challenges:

By the cute and girly - warm sunny days
Sir Stampalot - Lazy Hazy Days of Summer

Well, it's the end of the weekend, off to bed for an early start at work. *See* you tomorrow - hopefully!

Papers/cardstock: Bazzill kraft cardstock, October Afternoon Ducks in a Row paper pack
Stamps: Magnolia romantic sunset background, Magnolia dragonflies
Mediums: Copic Ciaos
Accents: American Crafts ribbon, Stampin Up striped ribbon, jute ribbon
Tools: Nestabilities blossom and label dies, Fiskars border punch

Hi Mary!

Wow!! What a very, very, very nice card this is!! I get an instantly summery feeling of it, even though outside it's grey and pouring rain here!! Thank you!!! ;-) What beautiful colors you used here and I can imagine that it reminds you of your enjoying days on the beach! But you have to travel four hours every day???!!!! Wow!!! That's tough!! Both of you? No jobs for you where you live now? I wish for you you will find the balcony home you wish for!!

Hugs, Wendy

I,m with you, any chance to get down to the coast line though our coast line isn't as nice as yours in lincolnshire so I tend to do norfolk, as we are not to far away.

I am in love with your card seen this image loads of times before, but never seen it used so beautifully, its fabulous.
