Introducing a month of fun with Quixotic Paperie!!

As I mentioned yesterday, today is a VERY special day!  Why?  It marks the 2nd Anniversary for Quixotic Paperie

2 years ago on 1st June 2009, Elaine of Quixotic Cards opened her online craft store Quixotic Paperie selling a small selection of crafty stash.  Two years on and the store features stamps from favourite companies around the world, lots of pretty papers and embellishments and other papercrafting favourites.  Which all happened to be my favourites too!  (That Elaine obviously has impeccable taste!) so I was very chuffed to be asked to be on her very talented design team!

To celebrate, we have a month filled with fun!  Stick with us as we show off projects featuring products from around the store, bring you tutorials and tips, and throw the spotlight on some of the awesome stamp companies in stock at Quixotic Paperie!  There will be prizes along the way (and a big one at the end of the month), so you won't want to miss a thing!

To get the ball rolling, this week there is a birthday special offer at Quixotic Paperie:

1st June to 8th June 2011
10% Off Throughout The Store!
(Not valid with existing sale offers or discount coupons, and does not include Gift Certificates.)

Plus, the Design Team are all showing off their favourite creations from their time so far with Quixotic Paperie!  Pay a visit to the rest of the team to see a round up of their favourite makes.

* ANNIKA * ELAINE * JUDY *
 * KIM C * KIM D * MARY J (ME!)* ROWENA *

But first, here are a few of my personal favourites since I joined the team just January this year!  The first card I've chosen is the one I made with Victoria Case Retro Crew Call Me for SCACD that I matched up with that retro yellow gingham from the My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose Gertie 6 x 6 paper pad..

My next fave is this little cutie Foo by Paper Makeup with a cool sentiment too - it's so random, it's typical of the way my brain works!!  I used my trusty Bazzill kraft cardstock and the gorgeous paper is from the My Minds Eye Stella & Rose Hattie paper pad (I'm still desperately hanging on to the few papers I have left!) and you can buy some sublime Divine Twine here.

For my next card, I chose a card that I didn't do any stamping on!!  Instead I used the yummy cupcake die by Marianne D Creatables teamed up with paper from the Echo Park Little Girl collection kit and finished off with my transparent Viva Decor gloss pen on the pink cherry to help make it even yummier!

This next card uses the new clear stamps by Some Odd Girl - let me introduce you to Dancing Mae using my Echo Park Little Boy papers...she ROCKS!!!

Lastly, this is one of my more recent cards using Carmen Medline's Gathering Love from the new Natural Beauty collection, matched up DPs from Pixie by Memory Box, creamy rich lace by Alencon lace by Prima and using the Zig Zag piercer head with my Sew Easy Tool.

I also used for the first time the lasercut chipboard by Make It Crafty that I dabbed with Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Antique Linen, rubbed on Viva Decor Glitter Liner in Gold with my finger and finished off with 4mm iridescent pearls in Hyacinth Lilac.

I hope you have enjoyed my walk down memory lane with Quixotic Paperie and hope you can join in a month of fun!

Thanks for visiting and an even bigger thank you to all of you who leave such sweet and encouraging comments - I love every single one of them!
