No card but wanted to share a couple of things!

Happy Saturday everyone!  I hope you have a great weekend lined up - think it's going to rain in the UK so I'll have no excuse but to do some decorating (and crafting!).  Today  I just wanted to highlight a couple of things that I think worthy of mentioning!

First off, Kerry of Ladybug Crafts Ink is celebrating her second year blogaversary!  Yep, she's been keeping us entertained for two years now so she's giving away some blog candy!   Every day until July 22nd she is adding some candy to the pot... that's 45 pieces of candy just for one of you!  Go here to find out what you need to do for a chance to win!

Secondly, have you see St Luke's Charity Cards Challenge yet? It's a monthly challenge (so plenty of time to get your entry in!) with prizes and they ask if you can donate (although you don't have to) your card to them.  They sell these on and the proceeds go towards keeping this vital UK charity going.  Here's a bit about them that I copied from their blog...

St Luke's is a hospice which cares for people aged 18 and above throughout Sheffield who have incurable illnesses. Their aim is always to control the patients symptoms, alleviate pain, and give them the best possible quality of life – all free of charge. It costs £6 million per annum to keep St Luke's open, and government funding, via NHS trusts only provides one third of the funds required, which means the Hospice has to raise a staggering £4 million each year to provide this vital end-of-life care.

This challenge was set up by a St Luke's Supporter who has seen first hand, the amazing care given to patients through St Luke's. The aim is to promote the good work of the charity, provide a fun and welcoming challenge community in which card makers and crafters can come back month after month to play in our challenges, and by sending their cards to the charity, provide a little something to help them keep their doors open.

So, if you feeling creative and want to play along with us, please do - no matter what your age or ability, all are welcome, and if you can "spare" the card you make too, then all the better :-) THANK YOU!

So if you have the time, it would be great if you could support this challenge blog by playing along - this month's challenge is "come fly with me"  and we all have plenty of stamps with wings on them! - and if you can donate your card or any other cards, that would be great too!!

If you're still with me, thanks for reading this!  I'll be back soon with a card to share!

Thanks for sharing this Mary. I have a box of cards I was going to give to a local charity, but as I'm donating them 3 rather large boxes of craft supplies I'll send the cards to Sheffield to help with their fundraising.
