All That Scraps May release preview time!

(Please scroll down for my Make It Monday and
Pollycrafts Monday DT posts!)

Me again!  My last post today - promise! - and this is the first of four days showcasing the May release!  Today, the All That Scraps DT are showing off sweet newbie Beatrice and here is my make using Berry Beatrice...

I can't tell you how much fun it was to make this card!  I used the largest heart Nestie to make the card base and handcut the leaves - I impressed myself making this!!  The paper is from the Cosmo Cricket Honey Pie kit and that's a Doodlebug Design Jewel (soooo pretty!).  The sentiment is from the new Berry Logos set and the butterfly was trimmed from the CC Cutter Butterfly Border die (available in store here).  Inside the card I used the new AmyR Many thanks sentiment and the cute little CC Cutter Strawberry.

Unfortunately, you will have to wait as these babies aren't in the store until Thursday 8on CST - that's even longer for us non-US gals to wait!  :(

You can see more sweet Beatrices over at the blog here - go take a look for a chance to win your very own!

A new challenge has opened over at Pollycrafts Monday and it's lovely Lynsey's turn to choose the challenge...

Matching card and tag!

I had a love of fun with this one!  I used newbie Barclay At Sea...

I know what you're thinking - what sea?!!  He, he, he!!  Of course I did a little editing to make him fit in that cute My Favorite Things pocket and leaf die - clever huh?!!  Well, clever for me!!  I used digi papers designed by Lauren Grier & Shawna Clingerman that I bought from Sweet Shoppe Designs and Pink Petticoat digi sentiments.  Here's some close ups...

Okay, I'm off now, back later with my All That Scraps preview card!  Have a super day and thanks for visiting me today!

I love this sweet collection!  I matched Megan up with DCWV Sweet papers and the sentiment is from the There She Goes Numbered Days set. Digi My World are offering the lucky random winner a $10 gift voucher to spend in store - how fab is that?!

For my pick of the week, I chose this sweet scene card by Birgit of Cards R Fun...

Gardener Honey

Happy Saturday everyone!  Well, the weather is certainly living up to its name this month - April showers for sure in the UK!!  The lawn is knee high but hubby can't get out there to mow it cos it just won't stop raining!!  Not that it matters to me - still decorating my craftroom!  Yes, it's taking ages but we can only do it when we've got a little spare time and there's very little of that!  The walls are striped and prepared and wallpaper lining is nearly completed.  Hopefully we can get the paint up on the walls and paint the woodwork this weekend!

Anyhoo, here today with a card showcasing those sweet Honey digis in the All That Scraps store - here's my make using Gardener Honey...

Isn't she lovely?  I personally hate gardening but I know plenty of friends who love it!  I matched her up with My Minds Eye Bloom & Grow papers and used the new C.C. Cutter Fence Border Die, Flower Border Die and Grass Border Die - they are so fab, don't cha think?  The sentiment is from the AmyR So Wordy set - so versatile!

Fairy Dahlia - put your sunglasses on!

Happy Friday everyone and I hope you have had a good week! It's been a long one for me while I wrap up on projects in readiness to start my new job next Tuesday.  So apologies for not visiting you all as much as I usually do - normal service will hopefully resume in a couple of week's time!

So today I'm here with a card using more of my favourite Quixotic Paperie goodies!  Today I am here with a card I made using the gorgeous Make It Crafty Fairy Dahlia....

As with all Make It Crafty images, she was such a pleasure to colour in!  And have you seen the new goodies in store?  I used newbie My Minds Eye Indie Chic Saffron papers, lightly distressed and inked using the Ranger Archival Ink Pad in Jet Black.  The sentiment is from the Paper Makeup Every Day sentiment set and the sweet butterflies are from  the Whimsy Raindrop Echo Friendship Ticket Sentiment set.

Okay, that's it from me today!  Before you go, don't forget to check out all the new stash Elaine has uploaded to the store this week!

Embossing time over at the Pixie Dust Studios!

(Please scroll down for my MilkCoffee Stamps and
Little Miss Muffet DT posts!)

There's a new challenge over at Take The Pixie challenge and this week the theme is "embossing" - wet or dry!  So here is my make using Glub the Fish...

I enjoyed making this card - it makes me think of hot weather and boy do we need some nice weather here in the UK!  Our Spring is the worst that I can remember and the forecast for May is more rain and more cold!  Bleh.  Not a happy bunny, but at least that means I'll get a lot of decorating done instead of sloping off to the beach...

Anyhoo, enough of the rant!  So that really is it from me today - y
ou can see more gorgeous DT inspiration here.  See you tomorrow with my Quixotic Inspirations DT post!

There's still time to join in with the April Showers fortnightly challenge over at Little Miss Muffet - hope you get to play!  I've done an inspiration card today using cool tomboy Basil...

I matched her up with K and Company Actopus to Zelephant papers for an outdoor feel.  I am so lovin' colouring in these Little Miss Muffets!  And I went for colouring her hair red - I think it came out ok, but more practice required methinks!  I liked how her pants came out though!

Lots of layers over at MilkCoffee Stamps!

There's a new fortnightly MilkCoffee Stamps challenge and this week the theme is...

Lots of Layers!

Here is my make using the gorgeous Glamorous Tiffany in her Night Dress...

This gal was a pleasure to colour in!  To go with the elegant evening theme, I used papers from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks collection (got mine from Quixotic Paperie here) and the flowers and skyline are dies by My Favorite Things.  The vine die is by Whimsy Shapeology.  Here's a close up...

I hope you can join us - it's fortnightly so there's plenty of time and you could win your very own MilkCoffee stamps if you!

All That Scraps April release review!

Hi everyone, hope your week has started off well!  It is miserable here in the UK - wet, grey, cold - where is our Spring?!!  To brighten my day, I thought I'd at least make a Spring card using the goodies from the new All That Scraps April release!

I love this cutie by uber talented Amy Young called Laugh Lines Garden and the sentiment is from C.C. Designs Watering Can Logos Rubber Stamp Set.  I used the gorgeous C.C. Cutter Butterfly Border Die from the March release.  Paper-wise, I won this gorgeous The ScrapCake Happiness paper pad from the lovely Tracy of Dies To Die For.  I've never seen this brand before - looks like Mr Credit Card will be out to play again!  You can see more gorgeous DT inspiration over at the All That Scraps blog.

I'm off now - have a lovely day everyone!!

Sketch time over at Pollycrafts Monday!

(Please scroll down for my Make It Monday DT post!)

The new challenge over at Pollycrafts Monday is a sketch (my post title probably gave that away...) by the lovely and talented Arabella.  Here is my take on it...

This little fella is Spike from the Critters and Cogs collection and the sentiment is from the Critters and Cogs Sentiment clear stamp set (it's only £2.99 with over 15 sentiments in it!).  I matched him up with Cosmo Cricket Togetherness papers (25% off from Quixotic Paperie at the moment!) and my usual My Favorite Things dies and Stampin Up embossing folder.

The prize this week is 10 Pollycraft digis!  You can see all the deets and more gorgeous DT inspiration over at the challenge blog here - well worth a peek if you have a spare 5 minutes!
