A grown up card!

Hi everyone - hope the weather is fantastic where you are as it is here in the South East of England.  The sun is blaring and even getting up to 17 degs (fingers crossed!).  Still no coastal walk for me today though - more gardening to do and even wash my car (I do sometimes wish I didn't get a soft top convertible!).

Anyhoo, I'm here today with my Lili of the Valley DT card.  I have to say upfront that I CANNOT take credit for colouring in this image!  It's from one of the pre-coloured art pads called English Charm and I used a sentiment from the Handwritten Phrases set which I think matches it beautifully...

I've been meaning to make some less cutesy cards and these art pads are perfect for them.  I kept it very simple with just the added gingham ribbon and a little flower to finish it off.

Okay, I'd better go get my old clothes on and get stuck into the mud!  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday - ttfn!

It's so lovely Mary, and as the image is so detailed already, it really doesn't need much else. what you did is perfect!
I keep telling myself that I'll make my way through all those pre-made toppers I own one of these days, but never seem to get round to it! But once I make a dent in them, I promised myself I'd treat myself to some of these art pads that aren't available as stamps, because they are so very gorgeous. x

Another lovely card Mary - you worked wonders with it to move away from your cute comfortzone ;) Great inspiration to get out in the garden myself - if I could have a pretty front doorway like this I'd be very happy! Rx

Lovely card, Mary J! I'm so jealous hearing you talk about being outside...gardening, washing your car...all that seems so foreign to me right now seeing as it's -10ºC with so much snow still on the ground! :-)
