Preview of the new February release over at All That Scraps!

When I first started making cards (over 3 years ago now) and one of the very first stamps I bought was a CC Designs one - I couldn't resist the sweet images and lovely sentiments which I use over and over again even now.  Well, I was thrilled to be asked to join the DT over at All That Scraps a few weeks ago - woo hoo!!!  Not only do I own a numerous amount of these babies, I get to use all the newbies before their release - WOO HOO!!

So, here is my very first DT card for the Feburary preview for All That Scraps where we are showcasing the new CC Designs Swiss Pixies...

Not only is this newbie as sweet as they come, she is also a fairy - and you all know how much I love my fairies!  This is Pixie Lucy with that sweet sentiment from the AmyR Be Happy sentiment set.

I also used the new Mushroom Border die - I first die cut it using Make It Colour blending card and coloured the stems and grass in using my Copics.  I then used the border die using dark orange cardstock, shading the mushroom heads with Copics, cut them off and stuck them onto the heads of the mushroom stems.  Here's a closer look...

This mushroom border die is just so sweet and versatile!  I also used lots and lots of Glamour Dust on her wings - she pops off the page!  I think you'll agree that this is a gorgeous new release and they will be available in the All That Scraps store on Thursday at 10pm CT!

Okay, that's enough excitement from me today!  You should check out the rest of the gorgeous Swiss Pixies previews over at the blog here and enter your name for a chance to win goodies from the February release!!

Let's see your fave things over at Pollycrafts Monday!

Please scroll down for my Make It Monday DT post!

A new challenge has opened over at Pollycraft Mondays and this week the lovely Lou wants to see us use your favourite things!  Well, there was no hesitation on this one for me - Chester is my all time favourite Pollycraft character!

So, my all time fave Chester is Call Me Chester as I love to make "hello, hope you haven't forgotten me" cards!  Some of my other favourite things are to use kraft cardstock and to use my Sakura white gel pen to doodle with.  Now I don't do a lot of doodling because I'm not any good at it, but I like to try!!  And as you can see from the photo, I'm even worse at drawing straight lines!

Okay, so another of my faves is buttons - my all time fave embellishment so had to pop a few on.  Orange is my all time favourite so elements of those had to be added too.  And lastly, I also love to use a mix of patterned papers and then do something a little quirky - hence the paperclip!

I have a lot more fave things to do with a card, but I think I did pretty well sticking all that on to one!  You can see more lovely DT creations over at the challenge blog here!

Make It Monday sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads!

A new linky party has opened over at Make It Monday!  Today I have made a card using Aimee and a Little Birdie by MilkCoffee Digi Stamps...

She is so lovely, I love colouring her in!  I kept the card fresh and used papers from My Minds Eye Everyday Flair (from Quixotic Paperie here) and my trusty old Martha Stewart doily border punch.  Of course, I just had to use My Favorite Things rolled rose dies AGAIN!

So this week we are being sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads who are offering a prize of a $10 gift voucher!

Onto my pick of last week's entrants - I chose this by Cathy of Cathy's Creative Place...

Created by Cathy of Cathy's Creative Place

It's easy to see why I chose this mailbow - it's so darn clever and look at that magnificent flower arrangement!  I am rubbish at complex flower arrangements - they always turn out messy!  If you've got a spare 5 mins, you should check out more of Cathy's gorgeous makes!  Thanks for sharing with us at Make It Monday Cathy!

Bring out the animal in you over at Take The Pixie challenge!

Growl or meow or woof!?  Whatever takes your fancy, this week we just wanna see animals over at Take The Pixie challenge!  One of my all time faves from Pixie Dust Studios is the cute Wink, Pixie's best pal....

This is Wink Pretends and I kept the papers quite fresh and basic for a little boy's birthdaym but actually I think it would have been better as a new baby card!  I don't know what brand these papers are as the lovely blog buddy Michelle sent them to me - not a lot left now so I'll have to be frugal with the rest!

I hope you can join us again this week - check out more gorgeous DT inspiration over at the challenge blog here!

Embossing time over at Flutter By Wednesday!

A new challenge has opened over at Flutter By Wednesday and this week we want to see some embossing - just don't forget to use your fairies, angels or butterflies!  So here is my DT make for this week...

I've been dying to use one of my border embossing folders - I have at least 10 of them and never used!!!  So, I used it with pink DCWV with a white core along with papers from Echo Park's Be Mine 12 x 12 collection (from Quixotic Paperie here and currently in the sale with 25% off).  I used a My Favorite Things sentiment and a selection of label, flower and vine dies.  And all topped off with Martha Stewart punched butterflies and bit of lace - voila!

Warm it up over at Pollycraft Mondays!

Please scroll down for my Make It Monday DT post!

A new challenge has opened over at Pollycraft Mondays and for this week I got to the set challenge!  So, it's been very chilly here and I know a lot of my USA mates have had to put up with 12" of snow recently so I am challenging you to...

    Warm It Up!

Interpret that any way you want to - keep warm, warm colours, anything that warms you up!  Now for my make, fab blog buddy Mari of Poydan Kulma noticed that when I chose my top 5 cards from 2011, there wasn't one with bright orange and hot pink - my fave colour combo!  And that was because I didn't use this combo much last year so thank you for inspiring me to make this Mari!

For my hot pink and hot orange make, I used Kiki Icecream and the orange version from my 'can't do without Sweet Ginghams paper collection by Cupcake Cards and Crafts.

You can get warm seeing more gorgeous DT inspiration over at the challenge blog here - I hope you can play along with us this week!

Happy Friday everyone!  I'm here today with a card using the sweetest Kraftin' Kimmie stamp set yet....

Didn't I tell you it was SWEET?!  This cutie and the sentiment are from the Canine Capers 1 set and I used Bazzill Basics Kraft cardstock for the base and matched it up with My Minds Eye Fine & Dandy Boy paper pad.

I also used this month's Quixotic Inspirations' sketch #3 created by lil' ol' me!  I hope you like my take on it and I hope you play along with us this month too - just link up your project on this post here!  A random winner of the sketch challenge will receive a £15 prize to use at Quixotic Paperie or you could be chosen to be featured in our top 3!

Seeing spots over at Take The Pixie challenge!

Wow, we had a lot of entries last week over at Take The Pixie challenge so thanks for linking up your heart themed projects if you did join in!  For this week's challenge we want your projects to have...

          Polka dots!

I've been dying to use the sweet polka dot paper from the October Afternoon Ducks in a Row paper pad so a perfect excuse to make this....

This is sweet Pixie Dust Studios' Sugar Plum Fairy.  You can't see it from the photos, but she has lots of Glamour Dust on her shoes, petticoat and crown.  I added the lace to soften the look and kept the sentiment simple.

I hope you can join us again this week - you can catch more beautiful DT inspiration over at the challenge blog here!

I hope you lot aren't getting bored of my circdle cards and my fence punch and little rolled rose flowers!!  I thought the My Minds Eye Everyday Flair (from Quixotic Paperie here) would be sweet to go with this sweet C.C.Designs Sweet November Chanter Heartsong Stamp.  I've used this layout before but thought it would be great with this little lady!  And do you see skirt?  It's totally thick with Glamour Dust - it's shineeeey!!

          Perfect pear

No, I didn't spell it wrong!  It's my Valentine card to Steve (and, yes, I did make him one earlier but I think he will much prefer this one which is a lot less soppier!) using the freebie Perfect Pear created by Torico...

And can you believe that Torico is giving away this fabulous digi for free?!!  And the sentiment comes with it?!!  Yep, she is that generous!  You can download it here from her Birdie Brown blog here - go get it and leave her some love because she so deserves it for making such gorgeous images!  And you really should check out her Etsy shop - I think I now own about 80% of them, lol!!

I matched these sweeties up with October Afternoon Farm Fresh papers and lickle ickle buttons - that's it!  I'm trying to keep to the CAS style - I think I am getting better at it!

Okay, that is it from me today, thanks for visiting and hope to see you tomorrow with my Flutter By Wednesday DT card!

            Bingo over at Pollycrafts Monday!

Please scroll down for my Make It Monday post!

A new challenge has opened over at Pollycrafts Monday and we want you to join us in playing...

            BINGO!

So you just need to select a line of 3 in any direction and use those elements on your card - easy peasey!  For my DT make, I wanted to create a Spring card - wishful thinking what with the chilly weather we are having in the UK!  So here is my make using Swings and Slides Little Sprout....

Roll on March!  So I used the line BUTTONS - POLLYCRAFT IMAGE - PUNCHES.  I loved making my little scene with that little cutie, but I do have a confession (which some of you know already!) - I HATE gardening!  But I do it otherwise the garden gets overgrown!  So it's the only thing I'm not looking forward to when the weather warms up, lol!!

Make It Monday sponsored by Meljen Designs!

Phew!  Last week was hard - work made it seem to last a month and next week doesn't look good either!  So apologies to you all now that I'm not getting around to see you as much as I usually do - believe me when I say I'd rather blog than work!!

This week over at Make It Monday we have another fab new sponsor for 2012 - Meljen Designs Digital Stamps!  I love their whimsical and sweet makes so it's great to have an excuse to use the numerous digis I own by them!  Today I used Meljen Design's Over The Moon...

Oh, I just loved playing with this sweetie!  It is just perfect for a baby card, don't cha think?  I used a lovely sentiment from Ladybug Crafts Ink's Baby Baby clear stamp set (it's currently half price, so I would get over there and get this sweet set!) and the paper inside is from the October Afternoon Seaside collection.  The base is a Grand Nestabilities scallop cirle die - I am so in love with my Grand Nesties at the moment!  I usually make my fave 4.5" x 4.5" cards but I've run out of envelopes to fit these so I'm trying to make smaller cards for my smaller envelope stock!

Anyhoo, I hope you can join us this week - you know how much we LOVE to see your projects!  Each week, I'm always overwhelmed by how talented you all are!  I definitely find inspiration every week from you!  And if you do join us this week, you can win your very own Meljen Designs digi!

Meljen Designs Digital Stamps are giving away the lovely prize of the winner's choice of 4 single digis!

Okay, so for my pick of the week, I chose this beautiful creation by of Simply Paper Crafts....

Created by by of Simply Paper Crafts

            ...just your style!

So to kick start my first DT card for Quixotic Inspirations for 2012, I have made a birthday card for a very very special friend of mine...

And, yes, she is this gorgeous and sexy!!  And, yes, shopping is at the top of her hobbies list!  Don't you just love the new Uptown Girls by Stamping Bella? This is Posh Has a Present and it comes with that cool sentiment.  I wanted to keep the very modern feel of her by using Bazzill Basics kraft cardstock and then papers from the Cosmo Cricket Upcycle paper pad.  To keep it from being too plain, I created the borders using Whimsy Shapeology double scallop border die (isn't it pretty?!!).

Okay, that is it from me today - make sure you check out the Quixotic Inspriations blog today for the new monthly sketch challenge!!
