Bewitchingly sweet!

Happy Sunday everyone!  It's Mary J here and this is my very first Whimsie Doodle DT post!  I will be here every day where there's a 2 in the date as well as joining in with the new releases and challenges - so you'll be seeing lots of me!

Today I thought I'd tease you with a sneaky peek - here is my card using Flying Lizzie Witch along with a sentiment from the new Halloween Sentiments set...

Isn't Lizzie beautiful?  Her hair is always such a pleasure to colour in!  And the sentiment set matches her perfectly!  I used papers from My Minds Eye Blackbird and stamped some extra flourishes to add some interest.  I used my current My Favorite Things Die-Namics - 1/4" Rosette Die to frame the sentiment.  Here's a closer look at her...

You don't have long to wait to get your hands on this cutie.  She will be in the shop in the What's New section on 5 September when we will also be showcasing more of the newbies on the blog here - so see you then!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

Wedding stationery - photographed at last!

Some of you may remember that I mocked up some sample cards for my cousin's wedding (this post). Well, she chose one (thank goodness!) and I've now made wedding invites (for the ceremony in Mauritius), reception party invites (back in England a month after the wedding) and thank you cards (for all the pressies!). I made over 200 cards! (Patting myself on the head.)

So here they are...

As you can see, I alternated the colours so there's a bit of variety! The colours are to go with the bridesmaid dresses - they chose these hot colours as the ceremony is being held in Mauritius. They are quite plain, but I clear embossed flourishes across the text to keep it interesting. It also helped with the "dewy" look with the dew drops - thought it gave a more tropical feel rather than using buttons.
Now my time is freed up to do some new creating!!
