Mrs Claus!

Here is  another one of the last minute Christmas cards that I've made for my Grandma...

I love this Mrs Claus - her pinny is so sweet and the way she looks over the top of her glasses is classic!  She is from the Whimsie Doodle's Santa & Friends set.  I thought the doily die cut would look sweet behind her and I topped it off with holly and berries using a Martha Stewart punch and the sentiment is a Paper Smooches die..

Not long now until our next monthly Whimsie Doodle challenge starts and we'll also be announcing the new design team!   Very exciting!

I'm off now but back tomorrow with my La-La Land Crafts and SugarPea Designs DT posts - see you then!

Woo hoo!

I was super chuffed to see that one of my cards for Lili of the Valley made it as the focal point on this month's edition of Simply Cards and Papercrafts #128!  Check this out...

My mum is going to be so proud when she sees this - it's almost like I'm a celebrity when I get in a mag, lol!  And here are all of the cards that are featured in this edition...

Using Penguin Pals...

These two using Ice Christmas...

These two using Frosty Fun...

This one using Snow Flurries...

And lastly this card also using Snow Flurries made it onto their blog as a bonus card...

I love these penguins!  And I also used papers from the new Festive Trimmings pad and sentiments from the Christmas Wishes stamp set.

Whew, that was a lot of cards I made in less than a week!  But it was well worth it to see them published!  I'm going to enter these into Squirrel's The Great Penguin Challenge 2014.

Now I'm off to bed to get a good rest for another busy, busy week at work!

Gifts on the tree

I'm here today with another Christmas card that only took me 20 minutes to make.  These Lili of the Valley Coloured Art Pads save so much time and that's just what you need to get that conveyor belt of Christmas cards finished!

This image is sooooo adorable and beautifully coloured.  The rubber stamp version called Gifts on the Tree can be found here.  I also used papers from the Festive Trimmings pad and a sentiment from the Christmas Wishes set.  The snowflakes are made using a Martha Stewart punch and I simple topped them off with some white buttons from my stash.

I'll be back tomorrow with my SugarPea Designs DT make - ttfn!

Sweet penguin pals!

Hi everyone, hope your week has started well.  It's very raining here in the UK and it's got colder - it really does feel like our Autumn has arrived a month early!  Hey ho, what can one do?  Apart from get the Winter woolies out!

So, I'm back today with another quick make using one of the new Lili of the Valley Coloured Art Pads...

I try not to use this layout too much - but I do love it so!  I used papers from the Festive Trimmings pad and the sentiment is from the new Christmas Wishes set.  I used a Martha Stewart punch for the holly and berries.

If you like the image but want the stamp, they are already available in the store here.

I'll be back later in the week with some more makes - see you then!

Snowman buddy

Hi everyone!  I hope your week is going well - the weather has been pretty erratic here in the South East of England but it's still warm and the sun is peeking out quite a lot - bliss!
So today, the Lili of the Valley design team are having a blog hop to celebrate the launch of the new Christmas products - and you're going to love them because I know I do!  As you can imagine, they are super sweet with a mix of 22 cute character stamps; new vintage boys & girls, snowmen, penguins and angels.
The stamps will be available to buy on the website from midnight on Friday August 1st (UK time) along with new Christmas paper pads and some useful clear stamp sets (Christmas sentiments, carols and mini images and also some everyday recipes).

But onto the hop!  Just ‘hop’ from one blog to another following the links and leave a comment along the way.  And if you're lucky, you may win a prize!  We will let you know tomorrow evening who the winners are!  So the prizes are:
1st prize is the 12 angels, penguins and snowmen
2nd prize is the 10 vintage children
So you should have got here from the lovely Lou and you now need to hop off to marvellous Mindy.  Or if you want to start from the beginning, go to the Ideas to Inspire blog.
And here is my card using My Snowman Friend, sentiment from the Christmas Wishes set and papers from the T'was the Night 8x8 pad...

Adorable image, huh?!  I coloured it in with my Prismacolor pencils and I used a Martha Stewart holly and berries punch.  Another punch that I've never used before but have owned for years!  I really must make a concerted effort to use at least one item a week that I've never used before!
I hope you enjoy the hop!  You can get all the deets on the Ideas to Inspire blog and don't forget to check back there tomorrow evening to find out if you're a winner!

CAS Christmas card

It's my last week as Sketch Saturday's guest designer for November - it's been fun using their sketches and this week I made a very CAS Christmas card using a simple snowflake punched border from glitter cardstock and a sentiment from the Lili of the Valley Christmas Handwritten sentiments...

I'm going to make a lot more of these using different coloured glittered cardstock - my Christmas cards are going to be finished off in no time!

I'm off now but I'll be back tomorrow - see you then!

Where did the day go?!!

Very late in posting this tonight but the day just ran away from me!  So without further ado, here is my Bellarific Babe card using the gorgeous Solid Funky Bamboo...

I really liked how this turned out.  Very unlike my usual style but I need to make some more "grown up" cards as - and I can't quite believe this - some people don't like cute images on cards so much!  Hey, no accounting for taste.

Okay, I am off now - goodnight and I'll be back tomorrow with a Lili of the Valley sneak peek!

I can get into a Pig-kini!

There is still plenty of time to join with our Summer Fun theme at the new Whimsie Doodles June monthly challengeYou don't have to use Whimsie Doodles images to win a prize of a WD digi of your choice from the new release but you do if you'd like to be considered for our August Guest Artist!  The Guest Artist gets the whole new release for August to play with too!  So, here is my DT make using Pig-Kini (what a great name!!)...

I love this range of sunny, funny farm animals!  I matched her up with Digital Design Essentials Oh Happy Day papers, popped her on a Nesties scallop die and used part of my Little Miss Muffet banner die  with some white punched out hearts popped on it.

{{hugs}}

Happy Saturday everybody!  I hope you have a lovely weekend planned.  I thought I might do some gardening, but it looks like it's going to rain - what a shame (NOT!!).  He he, I hate gardening so it suits me fine - looks like the craft room is calling instead!

So today I have a Bellarific Babe card to show you...

Oh, we could all do with a hug sometimes, huh?  I love this stamp!  It's called Belinda and Bernadette Bench Buddies and I matched them up with  Zoe Pearn Beautiful You papers, C.C. Designs Cutters Grass die, a Cuttlebug embossing folder and a touch of grass.  And I got to use up more alpha stickers - but I still have zillions left!

Thanks for visiting me - I really appreciate it!  See ya later on my blog rounds!
