Check it out at Totally Gorjuss!

It's a Totally Gorjuss challenge day!  And this week our check it out challenge is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp - have you seen how much stock these guys have?!!  Plenty of choice if you win this week's challenge!  For my DT card, I used BLD Puddle Jumper Davey again - I just love him!  Plus I was asked to make a card for a young lad so just had to ink him up again!

For my checks I used my Echo Park Little Boy Collection Kit (you can buy from Quixotic Paperie here) and did some stitching to give it some interest.  The sentiment inside the card says "Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional" - it cracks me up!  I used the layout from this week's Sketchy Thursday challenge - I think it's fab and sure to use this one again!  I'm also going to enter this into the Claudia & Company about a boy challenge.

I hope you get a chance to play along - I'd love to see your interpretation of this challenge!  Check out the other DT cards here to get your dose of inspiration!

Paws-itively "love"ly over at Totally Gorjuss!

The challenge over at Totally Gorjuss this week is LOVE!  And we all know why!  The lovely Crafters Companion is once again sponsoring us and so I know you'll want to join in for a chance to win some of their great goodies!

As I've already made four Valentine cards for my other DTs recently, I decided to do something a little different - a Valentine card from our dogs to Steve instead!  He's gonna think I'm mad but I think he'll like it!  What do you think....?

The thing is, Poppy and Lulu really do look this daft when they look up at you with their adoring eyes!!  You can't see it well in the photo, but I've used Viva Decor transparent gloss pen to shine up the little hearts on the dogs.  And I love these images from Whimsey Doodles - not sure what breed they are meant to be but they look like Labradors to me!  This set called Paws I Care and is particularly briliant because ALL proceeds (US$5) go to SPCA - an animal rescue group.  What a great deal!

That's it from me today!  Hope the rest of your weekend is fabulouso!  Go here to see the rest of the totally gorjuss DT cards!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Paper/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock, DCWV The Pets Stack
Stamps: Whimsey Doodles Paws I Care digi stamp set and Every Other Day rubber stamp set
Accents: none

And yes, yet another Xmas card from me!  I've really got to get my skates on - I've got at least 30 more to make!  This time I used my new A La Modes Candy Cane Kisses by My Favorite Things - isn't she funky?

I realised after I took the photo that it looks like she's forgotten to dress her bottom half, lol!!  They are meant to be biege trousers, ha ha!!  Hey ho.  I'm sure the rest of the DT haven't made such a boo boo!  Go here to the challenge blog to see their gorgeous inspiration!

A Totally Gorjuss "Oh Christmas Tree"

It's Saturday so that means another Totally Gorjuss challenge!  This week we challenge you with the theme "Oh Christmas Tree" and it's sponsored by Cupids Stamps.  I decided NOT to make a card (Lisa - are you proud of me?!!) and instead created a couple of tags for all those Xmas pressies that are starting to build up in a cupboard!!

The snowflake is die cut with glitter card by DCWV - this is great stuff because the glitter doesn't come off!  I luckily bought a ton of it half price last year and I can't seem to find it in any shops now - thank goodness I have lots of stock of it!  I used the My Minds Eye Colorful Christmas paper pack - this is uber uber cute!  I am going to make a ton more tags and cards with it!

The other DT cards are top notch as usual so visit the Totally Gorjuss blog to get your daily dose of inspiration!

Totally Gorjuss - non traditional Christmas colours

As most of you know, orange is my most fav colour ever so that uber cheeky Lisa J challenged me to make an orange Xmas card!  Luckily this week's challenge over at Totally Gorjuss is to make a Xmas card with non traditional colours and I do like to be different...

This week's challenge is sponsored by Crafters Companion and I am sure you all have Xmas cards you can submit this week!  Go take a look at the other gorgeous DT cards on the blog here.

Now I need some advice from you!  How on earth can I fix it so that the glitter stays put?!!!  It's driving me nuts, it's everywhere!  Now don't laugh, but I sprayed some hairspray on it and it helped a bit, but there must be something out there that can help - advice strongly appreciated!  Anyone with a fix for this will get some blog candy from me!

A Totally Gorjuss traditional coloured Xmas!

I was a very naughty girl last week and missed the Totally Gorjuss challenge - how dare work get in the way, hmmph!  But I'm back and this week we are challenging you to create something with traditional Christmas colours - a nice easy one!  And this week you have the chance of winning a Magnolia stamp - and you can never get enough of those cuties, right?!  So here it my card....

Of course I used traditional colours, but I couldn't help but use a sassy Lil Lolita image.  I love the sentiment inside this card - "Friends are the true gift of the season" - I'm generally an objective, practical person but when it comes to family and friends, I'm as wet as they come!

Being spooky at Totally Gorjuss!

Yay, another Totally Gorjuss Saturday!  This week's challenge is none other than "spooky" (of course!) sponsored by Wild orchid Crafts who sell those lovely mulberry flowers and other gorgeous embellies.  I loved this challenge - another excuse to make another Halloween card and this was extra fun!

I used the pumpkin and kitty freebie digi by Michelle Perkett Studio - a true scaredy cat!!  Sooo cute!  I also wanted to use up some acetate from my stash.  I first tried stamping a cloud background with white Staz On onto it but it just looked blotchy and rubbish so I used an embossing folder instead - I think it came out really fab!  Gotta try that again!   I made the bats by just knotting some sturdy black ribbon - I was surprised how well they turned out.  Anyway, I hope you like!  Go check out the other DT cards - they are really fab!!

If you'd like to be a Guest Gorjusette (and who wouldn't want that uber cool title?!), then you still have time to email Net at totallygorjuss@gmail.com.  Just provide a few details about yourself and she'll be in touch.  DT call open until 14 November.

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
Paper/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock
Image: Melissa Perkett Studio freebie digi stamp
Mediums: ProMarkers, black pen (to outline the border punch and faux stitching)

Totally Gorjuss sparkle!

It's Saturday which means it's another Totally Gorjuss challenge!  This week we challenge you to make your creation **SPARKLE**!  Well, I know you all love your glitter so this should be an easy one and it's sponsored by Crafters Companion (and I'm sure you NEED more stash, right?!).

I got my trusty Glamour Dust out and went a little mad with this one.  I know Kerry is going to LUUURVE this card - she just can't get enough of shiny things!

Unfortunately, the camera always lies - well, alright my photography skills suck so you can't see the sparkle that well, but I promise you it's sparkling away!  I even used my precious Bazzill Bling cream cardstock to add to the shimmer.  Not sure if I like this card much, perhaps because I love my bright strong colours, but it is growing on me.  Can't help thinking that it needs something else, but not sure what - any advice gratefully received pleased!

Before I go, just wanted to remind you that you can win some [much needed] Xmas stash if you sign up for the new Ladybug Crafts Ink challenge blog here - you know you need want it!

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Paper/cardstock: Bazzill textured and bling cardstock, Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper pack
Stamps: Magnolia Fairytale Danelion background

Mediums: Promarkers, Glossy Accents, Glamour Dust
Accents: none!

A Totally Gorjuss challenge and DT call!

Happy Saturday everyone!  Totally Gorjuss is one year old this week so today is a return to their very first challenge of "pink".  So a nice easy one, no excuse not to join in!  I was going to go for my usual hot pink, but decided to be contrary and use pastel pink...

I created that shiney border by cutting some white card and covering with Ice Stickles.  The glitter doesn't come off like usual glitter, cool huh?  I think the card's a bit plain - perhaps some pearls somewhere?  I'm rubbish at embellishing - either go over the top or not enough!

So want be the next Guest Gorjussette?  And the design team are so lovely (even if I say so myself!).  If you wanna get that fabulous title, email Net at totallygorjuss@gmail.com for full details.

I am also entering my card into the Fab 'n' Funky challenge "yummy, yummy, yummy" and it certainly is!

Paper/cardstock: pink cardstock, DCWV Sweet paper collection

Mediums: Copic markers, Glamour Dust, Ice Stickles in Crystal Ice

A fully fledged Totally Gorjuss gal!

Yay, I've been invited to become a fully fledged Totally Gorjuss gal!  Of course, I've accepted cos they are lovely team to work with!  This week's challenge is "not square" sponsored by Fantastic Ribbons.  I can't believe how cheap you can buy ribbons from these guys - and one can never have enough ribbon, I'm sure you'll agree.

I decided to use something that I've never used before from my stash (see, I am managing to stick to my resolution a few posts back!!) - a Quickutz nesting label dies.  It's so old that they've discontinued it, lol!  So I made my first card and then loved it so much, I made - {{err hem}} - 6!  Yeah, I know, a bit nutty!

I've even decorated the insides of the cards, but I haven't uploaded the photos - don't want to bore you, right?!!   I've now made 9 cards from this paper kit, that's great value for money!  Now, only another 10 (and more!) paper kits to use up, lol!!

Mediums: Sakura basic white gel pen, Sakura glitter pen

Another Totally Gorjuss challenge!

Yay, it's Saturday! And that means another Totally Gorjuss challenge today to include flowers on your creations! It's sponsored by Wild Orchid Crafts so get your submissions in to win some more gorgeous flowers (because we just can't get enough of that, right?!).

I haven't been using flowers as much recently so this was a good excuse to use some of my tools that are gathering dust! I created these flowers using Woodware flower punches and just did some curling on the petals to give them lots of dimension.

Enjoy today and hope to **see** you tomorrow!

Unfortunately, our 10 month old puppy, Lulu, has come into her first season (ahhh, my little girl is growing up!) so she will have to stay at home as she'll attrack far too many admirers!!

Totally Gorjuss challenge 44 - you're a star!

A happy Totally Gorjuss Saturday everybody! That's right, it's another super challenge at Totally Gorjuss and this week the theme is "you're a star" sponsored by Crafters Companion. I created another baby card as I have a lot of friends having babies very soon so it just helps me keep ahead!

Isn't this image gorgeous? She is Twiddly Wings Shooting Star, a digi stamp from Pollycrafts. Obviously I am entering her into the Pollycraft Monday challenge to use stitches and used the sketch from Papertake Weekly challenge below. I love the quote inside - isn't it wonderful? Makes my heart melt!

See you tomorrow with another card!
