Sketch time over at Bellarific Friday!

It's time for a new Bellarific Friday and this week the theme was to make a tag and here is my Bellarific Babe DT card using Stamping Bella's Uptown Girls Pattie and Dottie friends Forever...

This is going to one of my best friends - this will be us at a Christmas party!  Well, probably wearing warmer clothes though!  I used papers from the Echo Park All I Want For Christmas collection, a pom-pom border to add interest and lots of Glamour Dust - here's a closer look...

Check out more gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog here.

Next week is our last Bellarific Friday challenge for 2012 and the theme is Thinking of You - interpret this however you like!  Thinking of you for Christmas, Thinking of you at New Years, Thinking of you on your Birthday or Just simply Thinking of you because I'm thinking of you - easy peasy!  Email your creations to Em at Stamping Bella by next Thursday 20 December so they get posted in next Friday's post as well as have a chance to win some Bella Bucks!

Oh pants!

Happy Sunday to you all!  I hope it's not too cold where you are - it is freezing here in East Sussex, UK!  Luckily it's sunny at least so we'll have a lovely dog walk along the coast today.

Anyhoo, I'm here today with my Whimsie Doodles DT inspiration post.  Without further ado here it is...

I love this set!  It's called Christmas Undies and I am going to give this card to my in-laws - they're gonna giggle their heads off over it!  I used Echo Park Winter Wishes paper and Marianne D Creatable snowflake dies and Martha Stewart snowflake border punch using glitter cardstock to make it pop a little.

Okay, I gotta go now - see you tomorrow with the start of the All That Scraps December release previews!

Anything goes at Christmas!

Well, not everything!  But for the new Cupcake Craftroom challenge and this month the theme is 'anything goes at Christmas!

This month the DT are using the new Boutique Christmas, another modern fresh digi paper collection that has 33 printables papers in total.  Here's my DT make with it...

I wanted to keep a crisp look of the card so plenty of white and I also die cut the snowflakes from glitter cardstock and added lots of Stickles to the snowflake and her hairbands and shoes.  This is the very sweet new Whimsie Doodles Snowflake Lizzie - she's so beautiful!  The sentiment is from the new Instant Camera: Christmas set by Lil' Inker Designs.

I hope you can play along with us this month - it's a nice easy peasy one!  Want to see more inspiration?  Check out the rest of the DT makes at the challenge blog here!

Jolly holiday!

Today over at MilkCoffee Stamps we are showcasing some digis with the theme of "couples" - so any images with more than one character!  Here is my DT make using the very sweet Children playing with snowman in winter...

That poor little boy trying to hold that snowman up - his face really makes me giggle!  I matched them up with Carta Bella Merry and Bright papers and layered up some snowflakes die cut from glitter card.  I also added some Fluffy Stuff on their clothing but I think I put a bit too much on the little girl's hood - think it's suffocating her, lol!!

You can check out more DT inspiration over at the blog here.  I'll be back tomorrow with my Bellarific Friday DT post.  You still have time to join in this week's sketch - check out the detail here!

Shadow box beauty!

Hello everyone!  I'm here today to show you my Quixotic Inspirations DT project using those gorgeous Quixotic Paperie goodies.  Those who know me, know that I like to make cards - sometimes venturing to a tag! - but today I have something very different to share...what do you think...

I am really pleased with how my shadow box turned out!  I used the new Make It Crafty Shadow Box in the square frame - it was so easy to put together using a quick drying strong glue.  I coloured in the gorgeous Make It Crafty Adele again but this time with brown hair and matched her up with papers from My Minds Eye Indie Chic Ginger papers.  For the embellishing I used the new SCACD dies Classic Corners and Nature's Tapestry Fan.  For the lettering, I die cut these using Tim Holtz Grunge papers and simply inked them up.

I hope you have enjoyed my project - I certainly had a lot of fun creating it!  See you soon with another crafty make!

More mixed media experimentation!

Happy weekend everyone!  I'm here today to show you how my experimenting with a more mixed media style using Quixotic Paperie goodies is getting on!  If you're familiar with my usual style you'll know I'm more of a clean lines, cutesy card maker so this new style is hard for me!  So, I'm just getting my inks, materials, tools, etc out without having any particular design in mind (otherwise it will lean to my usual style!) and see what magic happens!  And here's what "happened" to me today...

So, what d'ya think?!  I doubt if I will ever get this mixed media style right but I think I'm finding my own style within the style - if that makes sense!  I didn't take me long to make either - it sort of all fell into place.  I loved using the Authentique Splendid pad along with the exciting new Susana Loves Stamps Blank Canvas Women stamp set and the Whimsy Friendship Ticket Sentiments Set

That's it from me this week, see you tomorrow with something exciting happening at MilkCoffee Stamps and my next Whimsie Doodles guest artist spot - it's gonna be a busy day!

Throw on those flowers - MilkCoffee challenge reminder!

So who has lots and lots of chocolates lined up for today?!!  Steve says he hasn't bought me a choccie egg this year but I'm hoping he's gonna surprise me!!  I want a huge Lindt chocolate egg with their delectable little truffles thrown on the side!  We'll see...

Anyway, here today with a reminder that you have plenty of time to join in with the current fortnightly MilkCoffee Stamps challenge of Throw on Those flowers!  Now, I'm not a big flower embellisher so this is the best I could do - a few flowers and flower paper...

This is one of the newbies, Tiffany Playing Violin - isn't she beautiful?  She was such a dream to colour in too!  Here's a close up...

I used touches of Glamour Dust on her to make her pop a bit and those papers were a freebie from a mag.  so I hope you'll have time to join in the challenge for a chance to win two MilkCoffee digis of your choice!

Okay, that is it from me today! Have a fabulous Easter Sunday and see you tomorrow with my Make It Monday and Pollycrafts Monday posts!

    Everyone needs a sidekick...

Yay, it's FRIDAY!  It's been another loooong working week but at least I got to play with some Quixotic Paperie goodies!  Here is what I made this week...

Yeah, I know, another Uptown Girls by Stamping Bella from me again - but I can't help it, I just luuuurve these gals and they are perfect for my gal-friends!!  This is Pattie and Dottie Friends Forever and I have always wanted to wear a feather boa like that!! The sentiment inside and out come with the gals too - the inside says "Who else is gonna kick you in the side now and then?"  Brilliant!

I used the new My Minds Eye Miss Caroline: Dolled Up and Marianne D Creatables Flower and Leaves (currently 25% off in the shop!) - aren't they just fabby?!  And I used the current Quixotic Inspirations February/March sketch - there's still plenty of time to join in here

That's it from me today - have a fabulous weekend everyone!!
