I wish I could play the guitar

Don't you think that would be cool?  Strumming along, entertaining people.  Alas, I haven't got an ear for it so I'll keep to the humming instead!

So it's inspiration time over at La-La Land Crafts and this week we had the theme of "use your scraps".  Well I have plenty of those!  Here is my make using up some of the very few scraps from my Social Club papers by Cosmo Cricket...

I love this cool gal!  This is Mod Marci and I also used the Steampunk Border die for a bit of interest.  I also used the sentiment from the Singing Marci set.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, R20
Lips: R20, R22
Hair: Y00, YR24, YR31
Outfit: R02, R05, R08, BG10, BG53, BG57, C03, C05, C07
Guitar: C01, C03, C05, E31, E33, E35

Check out more scrappy inspiration over at the blog here.  I will be back on the weekend with my Lili of the Valley DT card.  Have a lovely Friday!

Dies galore

Over at La-La Land Crafts this week's theme is Dies Galore - simples!  There are so many gorgeous dies in the La-La Land Crafts store that it's hard to decide what not to use!  So here is my take on it...

I really love how this card turned out - truly in the Spring spirit!  Although the UK weather at the moment is awful - grey, drizzly and really cold, predicted for -1 degs tonight.  Not good!!  At least it's another long Bank Holiday weekend for us so I'm going to craft, craft, craft!

Anyhoo, back to the card!  I used the beautiful Daisy Fairy Marci along with all of these dies...

And here are the Copics that I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, R20
Lips: R20, R22
Hair: E50, E51, E53
Wings: B21, B23, B26, E40, E43
Outfit and flowers: B0000, B21, G20, G21, E40, E43

Check out more gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog here and see what they've done with the gorgeous dies!  I'll be back tomorrow with my Lili of the Valley sneak peek of the beautiful new fairy stamps - ttfn.

So, here is my make using one of the new baby stamps called Pushchair...

Another gorgeous cutie from LOTV!  I also used the gorgeous LOTV Promises paper and sentiment from the LOTV Handwritten Phrases set.

So if you want the full deets about the event, check out the Crafty Ribbons blog.  I'm off but I'll be back tomorrow with my Doodlelicious Diva post and the start of the CC Designs December release.  TTFN!

CAS Christmas card

It's my last week as Sketch Saturday's guest designer for November - it's been fun using their sketches and this week I made a very CAS Christmas card using a simple snowflake punched border from glitter cardstock and a sentiment from the Lili of the Valley Christmas Handwritten sentiments...

I'm going to make a lot more of these using different coloured glittered cardstock - my Christmas cards are going to be finished off in no time!

I'm off now but I'll be back tomorrow - see you then!

Balloon buddy

Hi everyone!  I'm here today with my Lili of the Valley DT card using the very sweet Balloon Bunny...

So adorable!  I used my Quickutz embossing folder and papers from the LOTV Bonnets and Bowties pad.  And as their November guest designer, I used this week's new Sketch Saturday sketch...

I hope you can play along too!  Check out all the deets here for how to join in and win.  I'm off to do my Saturday chores but I'll see you again soon.  Thanks for visiting!

Little boy birthday wishes

Hi everyone!  I'm here today with my Lili of the Valley DT card using the very sweet Party Pup - Christmas Card and as I'm the Sketch Saturday guest for November I used their sketch for inspiration...

Of course, this puppy isn't just for Christmas!  I made him for my nephew's birthday.  I also used papers from the LOTV Petal Fresh pad and a Nesties die for the silver star.  The border die I used is by My Favorite Things.

I'm off now to write Christmas cards and wrap presents - yes, really!

Lilac loveliness!

It's Monday and only just a few weeks before I go on holiday - yay!!  And today MilkCoffee Stamps are sponsoring Incy Wincy Designs Challenges and I got to do a guest spot for them using this beauty...

Look at that cheeky wink!  She's called Rose Hairclip and I matched her up with Lili of the Valley paper from the Promises pad.

Enjoy the rest of your Monday and I'll be back tomorrow with my Doodlelicious Diva post - ttfn!

You're to dive for!

Morning all!  Today I'm showing you my There She Goes Trendsetter card and I followed this week's challenge of pattern power and use dots and stripes together...

I know it's not seasonal again but I really prefer to make sunny fresh cards instead of autumnal ones.  This fun fella is from the Aquaholics set, along with that sentiment.

I'm still doing my guest spot over at Sketch Saturday for November so here is this week's new sketch that I used...

I'm off to make some breakfast.  I'll be back later with my Lili of the Valley DT post.  Thanks for visiting!

I'm so happy I could dance!

OMG, we don't have long before we are off on holiday to sunny, hot, gorgeous Australia - woo hoo!  I got a lot to sort out before I go though - Christmas presents and cards for a start!  And I've even got a series of early Christmas lunches with friends and work colleagues starting from next week!

But I'm here today, not to bore you with my holiday plans, but with my Lili of the Valley DT post.  I'm showing you one of the new girlies who will be in the bricks and mortar store today and the website from midday (GMT) on Monday.

Here is my make using Dancing Queen matched with the gorgeous papers from the Perfect Pair pad...

And do you like that layout?  The lovely Jen Nelson invited me to do a guest spot over at Sketch Saturday for November so I used this week's new sketch...

Check more inspiration over at the LOTV Ideas to Inspire blog here.  I'm off to see if I can still squeeze into my bikini...

Sleeping on a bed of flowers

Hi everybody and I hope you are raring to go for the weekend!  Today I am doing a guest spot over at Sketch Saturday as MilkCoffee Stamps are sponsoring this week so here is my card...

I really enjoyed working with this sketch!  I used Lisbeth Good Night along with October Afternoon papers and die cut CC Designs Cutter four season fence, grass and a bunch of flowers.

I hope you get a chance to play along this week - check out the blog for all the deets.  I'm off but I'll see you tomorrow with my Bellarific Babe DT post!

Going my way?

Happy Saturday all!  And it looks like it is going to be hot and sunny here in the South East corner of the UK today - hoorah, summer has arrived!  But who knows how long for?!  Still, we are going to make the most of it by going to the coast with our two furballs, have a long walk and then sit at our favourite spot in the sun and have a BBQ - bliss!  I hope whatever you are doing makes you as happy as I will be today!

So today MilkCoffee Stamps are sponsoring Sketch Saturday and I was invited to be do guest spot for them so here is my card...

Isn't she beautiful?  This is Tiffany Goes On Holiday and I matched her up with Carta Bella Cool Summer papers and Pink Petticoat yellow gingham paper for the clouds.  I'm sure I like how this card turned up but she was sure cool to colour in!

Okay, I am off now, have a lovely day!
