Batch of Christmas cards using Pink Petticoat

I spent a couple of evenings making these very quick Christmas cards so thought I'd show you the batch now that everyone should have received theirs!

I've always loved Pink Petticoat and it was the very first digi papers I ever bought since starting card making.  Owner Liz's images are always very sweet but not too cute and I loved this set of penguins from the Cool Yule collection...

And these snowmen are so adorable from the Frosty Friends collection...

Here's a close up...

As you can see, I kept the layout really simple with a simple red scallop border (My Favorite Things) and twine from my stash.  The images didn't take long to colour in - I did them all in an hour.  I punched the snowflakes using a very old EK Success punch and covered them in Stickles Star Dust glue as I had run out of glitter cardstock (have since filled up with a ton of it in readiness for next year's cards!).  I popped the white cardstock onto foam pads to give it depth and used a punch for the corners.  I only used buttons on these two cards but not on the rest as I didn't have enough of them!

Well that is all of my Christmas cards done for 2014 - whew!!  I'm now preparing for my 2015 projects - I enjoy the planning bit nearly as much as the creating part.  Yep, I'm a little crazy like that, it must be the project manager in me!

Thanks for visiting me today.  I always really appreciate the support and friendship of my regular visitors so I want to give a very special thank you to you (you know who you are!).

Spring is in the air!

Well, I think it is - the sun has been out but it's still soooooo cold!  I'm still wearing my winter coat!  Hey ho, at least it's not raining.

So it's my second week as a La-La Land Crafts guest designer and this week we had the theme of Spring/Easter.  Here is my card with the Spring theme...

Well most of you will know that this is NOT me - I hate gardening!!  But I do love this very sweet girl.  She is called Marci with Flower and the sentiment is from the Suitcase Set.  I also used the gorgeous Berry Flourish, trimming it to frame her. The papers are by Digital Design Essentials.

Copic Markers used
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20
Lips - R20, R22
Hair - Y11, Y13, Y15
Top and hairband - V20, V22, V25
Jeans - B12, B14, B16
Flower Pot - E11, E04, E08

Fairy good friends

We have been reviewing some of our older fairy stamps over at Lili of the Valley recently so the design team decided to have a fun hop using the very sweet Fairy Friends stamp.  Here is my take on it...

This is such an adorable stamp!  I matched them up with papers from the Promises pad and also die cut the flourishes and punched the flowers out using the new Promises Solids paper pad.  It's so nice having everything coordinated rather searching through my piles of cardstock to match up the colours!  I also added lots of Stickles Star Dust glitter glue to the fairies so they really pop off the card - here's a closer look...

Okay, so back to the hop - there are prizes to be won!  Just join the hop and leave some love along the way.  The winners will be announced on Monday morning over at the Ideas to Inspire blog.

2 lucky random winners will each be able to choose 2 of the small fairy stamps as their prize!

You should have got here from Lou and you now need to hop off to Mindy.  If you want to start from the beginning, go to the Ideas to Inspire blog here where you'll also find all the deets.

Well I'm off now but I'll be back on Friday with my Guest Designer card for La-La Land Crafts - ttfn!

Day four of the SugarPea Designs April release sweet sneaks!

It's the last day of the SugarPea Designs April release - not long now until they are in the shop!  Today we are showing you sneak peeks of the super sweet Totes Ma Goat set from the Beanstalk collection.  Here is my DT make...

This is such a great collection with a fab selection of matching sentiments too!  I matched this little fella up with Lili of the Valley papers and created the hills with My Favorite Things landscape dies.  The flowers are punched from a really really old EK Success punch.

Wanna win this sweet set?   Join our hop and leave some blog love each day.  One lucky hopper will win this stamp set and one lucky winner will win the entire April release!  Winners will be announced during the online release party chat on the  SugarPea Designs Facebook page  page on today between 8:00 - 9:00pm EST.  The release will launch in the SugarPea Designs online shoppe immediately following the release party.

Hope to see you at the release party - can't promise to be there as it'll be 1am here in the UK and should be asleep!  I will definitely be back tomorrow with another post - a very exciting one!

A grown up card!

Hi everyone - hope the weather is fantastic where you are as it is here in the South East of England.  The sun is blaring and even getting up to 17 degs (fingers crossed!).  Still no coastal walk for me today though - more gardening to do and even wash my car (I do sometimes wish I didn't get a soft top convertible!).

Anyhoo, I'm here today with my Lili of the Valley DT card.  I have to say upfront that I CANNOT take credit for colouring in this image!  It's from one of the pre-coloured art pads called English Charm and I used a sentiment from the Handwritten Phrases set which I think matches it beautifully...

I've been meaning to make some less cutesy cards and these art pads are perfect for them.  I kept it very simple with just the added gingham ribbon and a little flower to finish it off.

Okay, I'd better go get my old clothes on and get stuck into the mud!  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday - ttfn!

This is what I have created with the The Fairyland digi collection - my very first stepper card!

I used Frances Burne's (of StampOwl's Studio fame) stepper card tutorial on Splitcoaststampers although I adapted it as I wanted the centre to be wider to fit my image.  I used papers from the My Mind's Eye Sweetest Thing Tangerine collection and the Lil' Inker Designs square stitched mat die on the matting. And do you love those leaves and teeny tiny butterflies?  They are from the Round Leaves set and I just added some punched flowers with flat backed pearls for the centres.  Here's a closer look...

Birdie Brown makes me smile - again!

Manage to find some time to join in with this month's Birdie Brown challenge.  This month Torico is giving away two free images for us play with and I chose Just For You for my card...

This fella reminds me of the many accountants that work in my firm - perhaps not so large though!  I used Echo Park Winter Wishes paper and my MFT Die-Namics Snow Drifts die with Stickles glue along the edges.  The sentiment is from the Lil' Inker Designs Instant Camer: Christmas set.

Okay, that's it from me today, see you later!

This gorgeous gal is called Teddy Bella and I used October Afternoon Ducks In a Row papers and I made some rolled felt flowers for softness.

That's it from me today - thanks for visiting and I'll see you soon on my blog rounds!

Back to school

Just quickly popping in to show you a Back To School card I made using the new Sugar Kissed Cottage School Girl for Lil' Inker Designs...

Isn't she pretty?  I love this little sweetie!  I matched her up with October Afternoon papers and used an EK Success border punch along with the new C.C. Cutter Corner Banner die.  I have no idea where I got that star ribbon from but it's been sitting in my stash for years!

Two bits of news!

So my first bit of news is that it's my birthday today - happy birthday to me!  We are going out to an amazing restaurant for dinner tonight and then tomorrow spending the day at a live music festival with my family.  It's gonna be fun!  I'm afraid that I won't be doing my usual weekend blog rounds but I'll be back in the swing of it on Monday!

Okay, my second bit of news is that this is the last of my July/August guest designer inspirational makes for Inky Impressions.  I've had a fab time designing with the gorgeous stamps so a big thank you to Inky Impressions for having me on board!  So for my finale I decided to use the gorgeous Shy Little Nickie with some flat backed pearls..

I used My Mind's Eye Darling Dear papers and my Grand Nestabilities Scallop Circle dies.  I used my trusty old EK Success flower punches and a Pink Petticoat sentiment.  Well, I hope you like her and once again a big thanks to Inky Impressions for having me!

You're groovy!

It's Friday!  And I also have a half day off work to begin my birthday weekend!  Okay, so my birthday isn't until tomorrow but I like to start early!

Today I have a guest designer card to share with you for Card Crafters CirclesMilkCoffee are sponsoring them this week so if you want a chance to win some gorgeous MilkCoffee goodies you can join in by following their theme of fabric.  I'm afraid I wasn't very adventurous and just used ribbon...

I love this cool gal!  This is Madeline with Retro Outfit and I matched her up with a My Favorite Things sentiment.  I matched her up with papers from the My Mind's Eye Darling Dear pad and used a Memory Box die to create the background.

Okay, I'm off to start my birthday celebrations!  I may not get a chance to visit you but I'm very grateful for all my visitors that make the effort to leave me comments - I will visit you very soon!

Booooo to you!

Today we are reviewing the August release of the Sweet November stamps and here is my make using Sweet November Gobsmack...

I just think this guy is so funny!  Not at all scarey, although perhaps a little intense looking!  I matched him up with the sentiment from the Halloween Sentiments Rubber Stamp Set and the C.C. Cutter House On The Hill Die
