Primary colours over at Inky Impressions!

There's a new challenge over at Inky Impressions and this week want to see primary colours!  Here is my guest designer make for it...

I used Hazel Baking Cookies along with those little sweet little flat backed pearls.  I used Sweet Gingham papers by Cupcake Cards and Crafts and created the rosette using the My Favorite Things Die-Namics 3/8" Rosette die.  The sentiment and label die is also from My Favorite Things and I used the Die-Namics Butterflies Dies.

I hope you can play along with us this week!  You can check out more gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog here!

Two bits of news!

So my first bit of news is that it's my birthday today - happy birthday to me!  We are going out to an amazing restaurant for dinner tonight and then tomorrow spending the day at a live music festival with my family.  It's gonna be fun!  I'm afraid that I won't be doing my usual weekend blog rounds but I'll be back in the swing of it on Monday!

Okay, my second bit of news is that this is the last of my July/August guest designer inspirational makes for Inky Impressions.  I've had a fab time designing with the gorgeous stamps so a big thank you to Inky Impressions for having me on board!  So for my finale I decided to use the gorgeous Shy Little Nickie with some flat backed pearls..

I used My Mind's Eye Darling Dear papers and my Grand Nestabilities Scallop Circle dies.  I used my trusty old EK Success flower punches and a Pink Petticoat sentiment.  Well, I hope you like her and once again a big thanks to Inky Impressions for having me!

Pearls and rhinestones Inky Impressions blog hop!

It's the 15th of the month so it must be time for the Inky Impressions blog hop!  And there's also a new fortnightly challenge starting today over at Inky Impressions and this week we want to see Pearls and Rhinestones.  Here is my guest designer make...

Isn't she beautiful?  This is Angelica the Bride and I used my Viva Decor cream pearl pen, pearlised cardstock for the base and of course lots of pearls!  I used the very sweet Daisy Bouquet Charm, K and Co Ancestry papers and a doily with lots of distressing for vintage look.

If you're already on the hop, you should have arrived here from lovely Kerry Stuchbery and you now need to hop to talented Tonya Hopkins!  If you need to start at the beginning go to the Inky Impressions Inspirational blog.

And don't forget to leave comments along the way as one lucky commenter on a hidden blog will win their choice of character or animal stamp and sample of embellishments.  The deadline for a chance to win is 21 August!

Inky Impressions inspiration!

Happy Saturday everyone!  I hope you have a lovely weekend planned.  The sun is shining in East Sussex today so we are going down to the coast - a long walk first with the dogs and then a picnic and reading our books on the beach.  Bliss - what more can I ask for from life?  Oh yeah, perhaps a little crafting tonight...

It's my turn again to share my Guest Designer card for Inky Impressions and today I used the lovely Gardening Lili...

Look at those eyes!  So innocent, huh?!  I bet though behind your back she'd be climbing a tree in a minute!  Still, she reminds me of when I was a little girl and used to help my dad with the weeding (not sure he'd call it that!).  I matched her up with October Afternoon Modern Homemaker papers and My Favorite Things sentiment and dies and Martha Stewart border punches.

Shy Little Nickie

Hello,I'm here today to share a recent card I made as one of the July/August guest designers for Inky Impressions...

Isn't the Nickie stamp range so pretty?  This one is Shy Little Nickie and perfect for those thinking of you or missing you cards.  I wanted all out to emphasis her prettiness hence the lace and doily and touch of pink (which I don't use much unless it's HOT pink!).  I matched her up with papers from the Authentique Splendid paper pad and subtly distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz distressing tool.

Okay, I'm off now.  Thanks for visiting and see you on my blog rounds later!

Embossing time over at Inky Impressions!

(Please scroll down for my Cupcake Craftroom DT post!)

There's a new fortnightly challenge starting today over at Inky Impressions and this week we want to see embossing - nice and easy!  Here is my guest designer make using a heart embossing folder...

I used Hazel Baking Cookies again - I just can't get enough of this cutie!  I finished it off with that beautiful MFT Die-Namics - Rolled Daisy die with a pearl popped in the middle and I got to use up some of that yellow lace that I seem to have reams of!  I have no idea where I got it from!

Inky Impressions guest designer!

I'm doing a guest designer spot for Inky Impressions for July and August - what a treat to be working with new goodies!!  And to kick off, they have a new challenge with the theme of 'fireworks and bling' so I went for the bling!

Isn't she beautiful?  This is Angelica the Bride and I went over the top with my Viva Decor white pearl pen and then sprinkled with lots of Glamour Dust all over her dress and head dress.  Here's a closer look...

I loved colouring in the folds in her dress and do you see that pretty charm?  I don't normally use these but these are gorgeous!  This one is called Daisy Swirl Heart and think it matches beautifully with the white organza ribbon.
