Anything goes at Christmas!

Well, not everything!  But for the new Cupcake Craftroom challenge and this month the theme is 'anything goes at Christmas! 

This month the DT are using the new Boutique Christmas, another modern fresh digi paper collection that has 33 printables papers in total.  Here's my DT make with it...

I wanted to keep a crisp look of the card so plenty of white and I also die cut the snowflakes from glitter cardstock and added lots of Stickles to the snowflake and her hairbands and shoes.  This is the very sweet new Whimsie Doodles Snowflake Lizzie - she's so beautiful!  The sentiment is from the new Instant Camera: Christmas set by Lil' Inker Designs.

It's time for a new Cupcake Craftroom challenge and this month the theme is 'anything goes in autumn'.  This can be any theme or occasion.  the card will have an autumn 'feel' so could feature  leaves or autumn colours, a halloween card, or any other occasion for this time of the year.

This month the DT are using the new Winterberry collection that features beautiful berries in autumnal colouring with some hot pink for a more contemporary feel to the papers.  Here is my project using a selection from this very funky cool set...

As soon as I saw this set, I knew I had to use MilkCoffee Stamps' Michelle in Hot Air Balloon with lots of MFT Die-Namics cloud dies.   The sentiment is from the Lil' Inker Designs Pinwheel sentiment set - a perfect match!

Pretty pastels

It's time for a new Cupcake Craftroom challenge and this month the theme is pretty pastels.  And this month the DT are using the new Pretty Pastels collection.  Here is my project using a selection from this very pretty set...

I couldn't resist making mini cards with these sweet papers!  I used the even sweeter Sweet November A Little Bit Of Magic Fairies set along with the matching Sweet November A Little Bit Of Magic Sentiments set.  I used My Favorite Things flourish and rolled flower dies.

Primary colours over at Inky Impressions!

There's a new challenge over at Inky Impressions and this week want to see primary colours!  Here is my guest designer make for it...

 
I used Hazel Baking Cookies along with those little sweet little flat backed pearls.  I used Sweet Gingham papers by Cupcake Cards and Crafts and created the rosette using the My Favorite Things Die-Namics 3/8" Rosette die.  The sentiment and label die is also from My Favorite Things and I used the Die-Namics Butterflies Dies.

This is me at work...

Okay, perhaps not, but I'd like to think I sit at my desk as prettily as this!  But thank goodness we no longer have typewriters nor carbon paper!  So you're probably wondering what I'm talking about - well, it's my card here...

I told you she was pretty!  This is Michelle and Her Typewriter and I've matched her up with gorgeous Cupcake Cards and Crafts Lilac and Lime Spring digi papers.  I love this particular paper so I kept the design very simple, using just the sweet image and the MFT Die-Namics Fishtail Flags STAX die with the sentiment.

Lilac & Lime - a yummy combination!

It's time for a new Cupcake Craftroom challenge and this month the theme is Lime and Lilac!  I don't think I have ever used this colour combination before but they are gorgeous together!  And this month the DT are using the new Lilac & Lime Spring Collection papers.  Here is my make using a selection from this gorgeous set...

 Aren't the papers so fresh and pretty?  I has to use MilkCoffee's Sally Ironing Her Clothes as the cord matched the papers perfectly!  The sentiment is from the 2 Cute Ink Cutie Cat stamp set - thought it went well with that little smile her face!

Some of you may be having de ja vu as I've shown this Make It Crafty Adele before in my blonde hair tute hair here.  Well, I didn't have time to make anything with her at the time but as soon as I saw these gorgeous papers, I knew it was a match made in heaven!  I used the soft sage colour of the Flourish (front of card) and Damask (inside card) paper designs.

Button it up!

Hi everyone!  I'm so sorry I haven't been around to see you all still - my internet is STILL playing up!  The engineer told us that "something-I-don't-know-what-but-is-made-of-metal" overheated and melted over in the exchange box (whatever that is?!!)!   He said he fixed it but we're still experiencing intermittent issues!  Hey ho....bloomin' hot UK weather...

But I've managed to get on to share my showcase MilkCoffee Stamps card!  Fingers crossed....  This week over at the MilkCoffee Stamps blog, we are showcasing one of our more recent newbies to the family - the very sweet Lisbeth with buttons!  And here is my make using Lisbeth Walks In The Rain...

Lisbeth must be a pixie or that is one MEGA HUGE leaf!!  Such a sweet image and a pleasure to colour in what with all those folds and shaded areas!  I matched her up with gorgeous digi papers from Cupcake Cards and Crafts called Adorable (and they really are!) and a delicate organza ribbon.

Wedding regrets cards

Hi everyone!  I hope you all enjoyed Good Friday - I spent mind with more decorating of the craftroom - it's taking aaaaages!  Anyhoo, here today with a reminder of the current April challenge over at the Cupcake Craftroom with the theme of Bugs n Birds n Wings n Things - easy peasy!  Here are a couple of quick cards I made for wedding declines using the gorgeous Cupcake, Cards and Crafts Dragonflies papers...

These took me all of 15 minutes in total make - both of them!  I felt a bit guilty and thought I'd add some flowers and butterflies, but then I thought - STOP!  Less Is More as they say!  Still, I think a flourish in the top right corner would have been nice...

Fabby news!  I have re-joined the Cupcake Cards and Crafts DT for their monthly challenges and this month the theme is...

Birds and Bugs!

This month the DT are showcasing a gorgeous new collection called "Dragonflies" and here is my make for it...

I know, it's not a card - I surprised myself!!  I love this pillow box die by Stampin Up (got mine from super blog mate Nic, The Sticky Elf) and simply used a range of the dragonfly papers with the solid papers that also come with the collection - perfect co-ordination!  I am going to fill these babies up with something but I don't know what yet!  I've seen those teeny tiny smelly beads you get (think you're meant to sprinkle them in your lingerie drawer) or Smarties (cos we all love choccies!).  Or perhaps for a crafty friend might fill 'em up with some ribbons or flowers.  Any suggestions welcome!

How adorable!

Mandy, owner of by Cupcake Cards and Crafts and creator of gorgeous digi papers has a new collection out called Adorable - and it really is!  I made a set of cards with them...

And I also decorated in the insides so they co-ordinate perfectly (even if I say so myself!).  I used my recently found digi loves by Torico using the sweet Hedge Hogs, Just Bloomed, With A Rose and Puppy & Chick - you can find in her BirdieBrown Etsy shop here.  The birdie image is an Elzybells - unfortunately no longer available.

These papers were such a pleasure to make with!  I have made more cards using this gorgeous collection but that will have to wait for another time!  Thanks for visiting me and bye bye for now!

Interpret that any way you want to - keep warm, warm colours, anything that warms you up!  Now for my make, fab blog buddy Mari of Poydan Kulma noticed that when I chose my top 5 cards from 2011, there wasn't one with bright orange and hot pink - my fave colour combo!  And that was because I didn't use this combo much last year so thank you for inspiring me to make this Mari!
