A Spoonful of Sugar makes ... blue & green!

(Please scroll down for my Totally Ladybug Tuesday post!)

This week's challenge at A Spoonful of Sugar is "blue & green should never be seen"!  And it's sponsored by that lovely Nikki of Bunny Zoe's Crafts - so lots of yummy goodies to be had!  When I first saw the challenge, I kept thinking about the green - a colour not often used by me - and ... don't ask me why ... I thought of aliens!  No, I haven't met any personally!  So I just had to get my Willy out - he's called Willy One Eye, but isn't that a little rude?!!  Well, Steve and I had a chuckle anyway!   [Apologies in advance if I've offended anyone out there!]

Okay, onto the card before I get any more complaints flooding in...

Sorry for the rather awful photos - it's so grey here in the UK and I couldn't do anything to improve the photo!  But aren't those High Hope Dustin Pike images fun!  You can buy Willy One Eye {{giggle}} here.  I'm not 100% convinced about the positioning of that ribbon though - and how will I fit it in the envelope, lol?!!  Oh well, I will MAKE it fit!

Don't forget to hop over to see the other DT inspiration here - their usual tip top quality!

I am entering this card into the following challenges...

Paper/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock, Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper pack
Stamps: High Hopes Willy One Eye stamp, Hot Off The Press Bold Border stamp (bubbly background), Kraftin' Kimmi sentiment inside card
Mediums: Copics, Colorbox white pigment ink
Accents: Stampin' Up ribbon, Bazzil white floss, American Crafts rub on alphas
Tools: Nestabilities circle and label (inside card) dies, Cuttlebug embossing folder, EK Success bubble border punch (inside card)

Bunny Zoe's Crafts Special Event blog hop!

Hello!  Have you just come from Susie's blog?  If so, you're in the right place!  This is a very exciting day for me - I've been asked to join in today as a Guest Designer in the Bunny Zoe's Crafts Special Event blog hop!  The blog hop is to promote the 25% discount on Magnolia, C.C. Designs and most of the High Hopes rubber stamps at Bunny Zoe's Crafts.  The discount will end Midnight, Thursday 2nd December - and we could all do with a little help with not overspending at xmas, right?!

Not only will you enjoy seeing all of the uber talented DT creations on the hop, you can also win prizes!  EVERY blog taking part in the hop is hosting a prize and all you have to do is leave a comment on each post ... so that is 10 chances to win!!! The chosen winner of each blog can choose a single Magnolia, C.C. Designs or High Hopes Rubber Stamp of their choice.

So here is my card using the very sweet High Hopes Peeking Ginger (you can buy him here with of course 25% off!) - isn't he just yum?!!  The sentiment is also High Hopes and it's just perfect for a bit of fun on those Xmas Cards, don't you think?

Buzzin' by to say hi

OMG, how come it's Thursday already?!!! What happened to the days in between now and Monday?!! At least it's nearly the weekend and I get to work from home tomorrow - yay!

Anyway, onto the card. I used this week's Sweet Stampin' challenge sketch and High Hopes' challenge to use your favourite embellishments - well I have two - dew drops and jute ribbon!

You can't really see it from the photo, but I've put Glamour Dust on the bees on the swirls and Smooch pearlised ink on the wings, enhanced by the Dew Drops so the image pops quite a bit in real life (cos this is my virtual one, lol!). Hope you like!

Papers/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock, My Minds Eye Bloom & Grow paper collection
Stamps: High Hopes Sunflower Buggies (artist Meljen's Designs, you can buy from Bunny Zoe's Crafts here)
Mediums:
Copic Ciaos, Glamour Dust (on bees and swirls), Smooch pearlised ink (on bees' wings)
Accents: Clear Dew Drops, natual jute ribbon, string from stash
Tools: Nestabilities label die, Tim Holtz distressing tool
