Polaroid love!

It's time for a new SugarPea Designs sketch challenge and I really loved using this one.  Here's my take on it...

I used to love my old polaroid - what fun we had as teenagers taking photos at parties!  For my card I  used the SugarCuts Polaroid dies, a couple of hearts from the SugarCuts Heart Journal Card and added the smile stamp from the Wanderlust stamp set.

Check out the rest of the DT sketch inspiration over at the blog here.  I hope you're inspired to join in - you don't have to use SPD goodies either but if you do you could win a $15 Gift Certificate to the store and if you don't you could win one worth $10!

Yappy birthday

No, it's not a spelling mistake, but a cute sentiment from the SugarPea Designs Hot Diggity Dog stamp set that I made for my DT make for this month's Sweet2Repeat where our SugarPea Designers have put together new projects that will inspire you with even more creative possibilities featuring the newest SugarPea Designs stamp sets and SugarCut dies!

Ooops, I just saw from the photo that I didn't cut that stripy paper straight!  Oh well, I'm not tearing it apart to fix it!  I used Echo Park papers and stamped that cute sentiment onto a die cut from the SugarCuts Layered Treat Label set.

Would you like to win a $20 gift certificate to spend on some SugarPea Designs goodies of your own?  Please visit with each of our design team members listed below and leave a comment for your chance to win!

You're sweet!

There's a new challenge over at the Alicia Bel blog today and the theme is Candy Treats.  Perfect to get those Easter cards done for next month, but I actually went for a birthday card instead using the very cute Gretel...

Ack!  She is so so adorable!  I love her little pigtails!  I matched her up with NitWit Collection papers called One Birdie Lane and the border and speech bubble borders are Lawn Fawn.  And do you like the sentiment?  Great font, I think - it's from the SugarPea Designs Classroom Cupids stamp set.

You can get more Candy Treat inspiration over at the Alicia Bel blog.  Thanks for visiting and I'll see you again soon - ta ta for now!

Alical Bel inspiration time!

(Please scroll down for my very last La-La Land Crafts DT post!)

The Alicia Bel design team is giving you some inspiration from the fabulous digi stamps available in the store.  I decided to use the fabulously fun Super Chica...

We all know a Super Chica, don't we?!  I love this image and thought she'd be perfect for a girlfriend achieving just like Superwoman would!I used My Favorite Things sun ray die and alpha dies and I hand cut the yellow "pow" piece (I have no idea what to call it, lol!).

I got out my Promarkers to colour this lady in so I could enter it into this week's Passion For Promarkers challenge and I chose S for Super!

You can see more gorgeous inspiration over at the blog here.  That really is it from me today - see you again soon!

Bye bye La-La Land Crafts!

Bit of a sad day today - this is my last card and post as a design team member for La-La Land Crafts.  I've been on the team for 10 months and decided that it was time to go and stretch my creativity elsewhere.  I will definitely miss playing with the gorgeous goodies and I will miss the team even more - what a great bunch, so friendly and supportive.  I know I have made some very good friends and will keep in touch with them.

So for my last week, the design team were asked to follow a sketch.  Now as most of you know, I don't like using sketches - they feel too restrictive to me, but I actually enjoyed following this one. Here is my DT take on it...

La-La Land Crafts goodies used:

Copics used:
Face: E000, E00, E21, R02, R05
Hair: C03, C05, C07, C09
Outfit: C01, C03, C05, C07, C09, R20, R22, R25, R27

Isn't she a cutie?  I used some Doodlebug papers and finished it off with some teeny weeny white buttons.  Check out the rest of the DT creations over at the blog here and I will be back later with my Alicia Bel DT post - see you then!

What a nice surprise!

I had completely forgotten that I had completed a magazine commission last November for Lili of the Valley and it was being published this month so what a nice surprise I had when I saw it on the shop shelf today with one of my cards making the front page!

Yep, that's my girlie card on the front - I am sure Christine will be very proud of me using so much pink!  Here's a peek at the cards I made...

I used papers from the Country Meadow and Snow Princess pads and you can find all of the girl stamps in this section here.  I used my new Polychromos pencils and lots of My Favorite Things dies.

I'm off now to do all of my post holiday ironing and later going for a family dinner to celebrate Chinese New Year.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll be back on Tuesday with my SugarPea Designs DT post.  Ta ta!

You brighten my day

I'm here today with the last of my Lili of the Valley sneak peeks using one of the cuties and sentiment from the Happy Bear clear stamp sheet that is being released this Saturday - not long now to get your hands on these sweeties!  Don't forget to join the hop (yesterday's post) to win the whole set!!!!

He's so adorable, I'm sure you'll agree!  The sentiment is also from the set.  The papers are called Party Animals by Nitwit Collections and the hearts are die cut from the SPD SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set.

Okay, I'll be back tomorrow with my La-La Land Crafts and Alicia Bel DT posts - until then, bye!

Lili of the Valley new release blog hop!

The Lili of the Valley design team are having a blog hop today to show off the new release that will be available from the webite from 31 January.  There are four new rubber stamps and some clear ones too.  I used another adorable bear from the Happy Bear clear stamp sheet for my DT make...

The papers are... guess what... yep, Party Animals by Nitwit Collections and again I used my old Woodware punch for the little stars.

I forgot to mention that I've been colouring in these cuties with my new Polychromos pencils.  Steve bought me the whole 120 set for Christmas - what a lucky girl I am!  Personally, I prefer them to my Prismas as the lead is harder and easier for me to be lighter with them.  I still love my Prismas though so they won't be relegated to the bin!

Back to the hop!  One lucky hopper will win a full set of the new release!  The winner will be announced this Friday.  Here is the hop list...

Mary J (me!)

Okay, I'll be back on Friday with my La-La Land Crafts and Alicia Bel DT posts.  Enjoy your week until then!

Sweet Bear bum!

I've got yet another Lili of the Valley sneak peek of one of another adorable bear from the Happy Bear clear stamp sheet that is being released on 31 January.

Look at that cute little bum!  And I really love the font of the sentiment that also comes with this set.  The papers are (again!) the Party Animals by Nitwit Collections and I used a very old Woodware punch for the little stars (although I don't think they are called stars!).

Okay, that is it from me this week.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you next week.

Popping in again with another Lili of the Valley sneak peek of one of the cuties from the Happy Bear clear stamp sheet that is being released on 31 January.

Another cutie pie and the sentiment is also from the set.  The papers are once again the Party Animals by Nitwit Collections and the hearts are die cut from the SPD SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set.

See you again tomorrow my La-La Land Crafts and Alicia Bel DT posts!

Happy unbirthday to you!

The Alicia Bel design team is giving you some inspiration from the fabulous goodies available in the store.  I decided to use the gorgeous Alicia y El Pastel...

The name translates to Alice and Cake and I thought I'd put an appropriate Alice in Wonderland quote for the sentiment!  The yellow paper is by Avery Elle.  I used a My Favorite Things polka dot background die with a piece of blue cardstock stuck behind it for some contrast and the flower is made with a La-La Land Crafts flower die.  The gorgeous gem in the middle is a Doodlebug jewel.

You can see more gorgeous inspiration over at the blog here.  That is it from me today - see you again soon!
