There She Goes blog hop challenge - introducing Handwritten and Mixed Media Backgrounds!

(Please scroll down for my Bellarific Friday DT post!)

It's the fourth and last day of the There She Goes July release and today we are showcasing sneak peeks of the fab new Handwritten sentiments and Mixed Media Background builders designed by Tobi Crawford.

These sets are really versatile - you can go down the vintage, grungy look or I kept my design CAS style.  Here is my Trendsetter card...

I love that font, just had to showcase it simply with Imaginisce papers, balloon die cuts and some ric rac to keep it from being too plain.

A right royal knees up over at A Spoonful of Sugar!

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I wouldn't normally be saying that on a Tuesday but I'm off work this week, yay!  Today over at A Spoonful of Sugar it was time for me to set the challenge and I chose "A Right Royal Knees Up"!  Of course, the royal wedding is this Friday but you don't need to make a wedding card - anything royal that inspires you!  Princesses, frogs, crowns - you choose!  This is what I made...

This image always makes me laugh - that frog's surprised face is priceless!!  She is called Kiss a Prince Tia - I have my fingers crossed for her that he'll turn into a prince for her, lol!

And do you see that gorgeous label?  It's a newbie from Spellbinders called Shapeabilities Grommet Tags and I bought mine from Bunny Zoe's Crafts here.

The other DT makes are as gorgeous as ever and you can see them all here.  I hope you get a chance to play along with us!

I am entering my card into the Stampavie and More challenge for birthdays, Dare to be Sassy for pastels, Cupcake Craft challenge for fresh and new and Crafty Emma's challenge for Spring colours.

Stamps: Some Odd Girl Kiss a Prince Tia, Elzybells sentiments

Have a sweet day!

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend!  It's wet, windy and grey in the South East of England - so not a lot different from usual!  I had a huge urge to create a light and airy card to compensate and this is what I came up with...

I'd like to say I came up with the idea of creating such a sweet ruffly border, but I've seen it several times recently and was dying to try it out myself.  Luckily this week's challenge over at Some Odd Girl is "scallops galore" so I just had to go for it!

Anyway, that's it for me today!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
Paper/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock, Imaginisce Enchanted paper pad
Stamps: Some Odd Girl Tiny Tia Bow, My Favorite Things sentiments
Mediums: Copics
Accents: Doodlebug ribbon
Tools: Xcut scallop punch, Xcut border punch system, Nestabilities label dies

Tickled pink!

Not in a great mood.  Back to work tomorrow, hmmph.  Been thinking about packing the day job and trying to make enough money making cards - but the sums just don't add up!  So back to work tomorrow, lol!!

Tonight's card is a birthday card for a little lady and I think those sweet Cherrie images are perfect for any girl  under the age of 14 - or older in fact!  I used the Tickled Pink Stamp monthly challenge sketch and here is my card...

That's it for today!  Back tomorrow for Totally Ladybug Tuesday so see ya then!

I am also entering this card into the following challenges:

Stamps: Cupcake Cherrie digi stamp, My Favorite Things sentiments

Happy birthday dad! And...eerrr...dad!

Okay, I mean dad and father-in-law! Their birthdays follow each other and then it's my husband's the following day - three days of male birthdays! I always struggle to make a card for this audience, but I think I quite like this one...

So much so that I made the same card for both dads! Now to make my hubbies - he isn't bothered by cards so I don't know why I'm going to bother cos he won't care that I made it! Still, I'm sure he'll pretend to like whatever I make him cos that's what love is all about! Now I just have to make it in time for Friday!

Papers/cardstock: American Crafts orange cardstock, Bazzill kraft and vanilla cardstock, Imaginisce All Kinds of Happy paper
Stamps: Lizzie Anne Designs sentiment
Mediums: none
Accents: BasicGrey buttons, ribbon from stash
Tools: Nestabilities star die, Fiskars border punch
