A new linky party has opened over at Make It Monday!  As usual, it's anything goes, we just want you to share your creativity!  As we are being sponsored by the lovely Mandy over at Cupcake Cards and Crafts, I used papers from the beautiful Primrose Path digi paper collection...

    Primrose Path digi paper collection

Gorgeous, isn't it! Very feminine in a sweet  mix of pastel and bright colours and each design comes in ten colours.  Mandy is offering the Primrose Path digi paper collection to our winner!  And don't you love that little lady?  She is Princess For a Day by Michelle Perkett Studios - she is so cute and pretty!

Last but not least, for my choice from last week's entrants, I have chosen this fresh and pretty make by Marilyn of Marilyn's Cards and More...

Created by Marilyn of Marilyn's Cards and More

How spooky, a krafty Cupcake Craftroom monthly challenge!

It's the first of the month (pinch, punch an' all that!) which means it's all new at the Cupcake Craftroom monthly challenge!  This month we have a fun challenge for you...
    Krafty Halloween!

This month the DT got to play with the More Kraft Kard paper collection by Cupcake Cards & Crafts and you can get it here!  This is a digi paper collection of different coloured and subtly patterned kraft and here is what I made with it...
This is such a versatile collection!  I used four of the different papers and here is a close up of three of them...

The solid kraft in the background, the smooth biege kraft behind the witch and then the textured paper on the bottom half which I also ran through a paper crimper - the photos don't do them justice - there is so much tactile-ness going on in this card!!  I matched the papers up with this Michelle Perkett Studios FREEBIE digi called Fly Away Witch - aint' she adorable!!??
I hope you can play along with us this month - you don't need to use Cupcake Cards & Crafts goodies and I just know you will love playing with this colour combo!  Want to see more inspiration?  Check out the rest of the DT makes at the challenge blog here!

    "Cow"abunga dude!

Hi everyone!  I hope your week is going well so far!  Not that I'm counting down the days, but only two more days until the weekend - yay!!!  But onto what we're here for - card sharing!  Today I am the guest designer card for Michelle Perkett Studios....

Cool, huh?!!  I love this cutie called Cal the California Surfing Cow although I couldn't decide what colour his surf board should be - to match or contrast?!  So I contrasted and think it's come out pretty good!  I am going to give this card to my dad - he's always reminiscing about how he loved the beach as a kid when he grew up in Hong Kong so thought he'd appreciate this!  I coloured him in with my Copics on watercolour paper - I love the richness of this but it sure does drink the ink!!  You can buy other Michelle Perkett Studios gorgossity in her shop here (not that I'm trying to be an enabler!!).

You can see more of the Design Team cards gorgeous inspirations here.  That's it from me today - see you tomorrow with another preview for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps!

    Two cards!

Hi everyone!  Where did Saturday and Sunday go?!  I'm sorry I haven't been around much - will be desperately trying to catch up with you today!  We went to see the new Pirates of Caribbean on Friday - it was okay but always a pleasure to watch Johnny Depp :) and on Saturday we did a bit of a spring clean and out for a meal in the evening, then Sunday we had a big family meal for my nephew's 18th birthday.  All in all a lovely, lovely time but not a lot left for crafting!

Anyhoo, I did manage to finish off two cards last night, both very different styles!  My first card is for this week's Michelle Perkett Studios challenge using Sleeptime Fairy to make your own patterned paper so I used my Hero Arts background stamps and used my Viva Decor gloss pen in white opaque to create little pearls....

I am also entering this card in the Papertake Weekly challenge for pale pretty pastels, Wags 'n Whiskers for stitches, Allsorts for things with wings, Flutterby Wednesday for CAS, Totally Gorjuss for string is the thing and Paper Sundaes for shabby chic/vintage.

I have also been impressed by all those CAS cards out there at the moment and Kathleen who is a queen on this style made this lovely card here and inspired me to get my old Rubber Romance stamps out to make this card....

It's as simple as I could make it!  No embellishing and just letting the paper and simple sentiment complete it - what do you think?  Perhaps it needs something a little extra?!!  I'm itching to add something to that bottom left hand corner!!  But I won't touch it - yet!

I am entering this card into Crazy 4 Challenges for favourite holiday spot - I love visiting Paris and this card always reminds me of when we go there and sit outside watching the world go by!

To distress or not to distress?

Hi everyone!  A very quick one from me tonight to post the card I made for this week's Michelle Perkett Studio's challenge to use die cuts.  I had to rush this card because I couldn't decide if I wanted to do one of my clean cut bright cards or to practice one of my less used techniques of vintage style.  I decided to be brave and do a vintage card but it took me aaages because it's just not my natural style!  Anyway, here it is....

I think the text needs to be bigger!  Hey ho.  I used the Put On Your Party Dress digi by MPS and the papers are from a Prima design pad that I won from The Scrapbook Garden's April giveaway - lucky me!  They have a new blog candy giveaway for May/June - you can enter it here so give it a chance!

I used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch and I am also entering it into the following challenges:

Paper/cardstock: Bazzill bling cardstock, Prima Magnolia paper pad
Stamps: MPS Put On Your Party Dress digi
Mediums: Aqua ProMarkers, Distress Inks in Antique Linen
Accents: Stampin Up ribbon (ordered from Nic, The Sticky Elf, here), Prima Magnolia flowers, 8mm flat backed pearls (from Quixotic Paperie here)
Tools: Nestabilities dies, Magnolia border and leaf dies (I get mine from Bunny Zoe's Crafts here), Tim Holtz Distressing Tool

I am also entering my card into the Wags 'n Whiskers challenge for circles, Copics Creations to use Copics from the yellow family and I also used this week's sketch over at Sketch Saturday...

    Put on your party dress!

I remember loving going to parties, but now I'd much rather have a good meal with a friend or two - yes, I am getting too old!  Still, there are occasions that call for a good party dress and I fell in love with this one by Michelle Perkett Studio...

Beautiful image, huh?!  I won the MPS challenge last week and received a free digi of my choice but of course I had to buy a couple  more to keep it company  ;)

I am entering this card into their challenge this week for turquoise and brown - hopefully it still counts because there is a dash of green leaves!

The royal wedding is later on today in the UK - if you're into it, then I hope you enjoy your day!

    Delicate delightful mermaid

Hi everyone!  Meant to post this earlier but we spent the day down on the beach, walking and talking then sitting and reading!  Spent far too long doing not a lot so had to rush home and get ready to go out for a meal - no time for crafting and blogging!  But I managed to finish a card using a delightful digistamp mermaid by Michelle Perkett Studios called Just Breathe (got mine from Bunny Zoe's here) for their challenge this week of anything goes...

I matched her up with that gorgeous BasicGrey Indian Summer paper pad (also from Bunny Zoe's here) and a floaty dusky pink wired edge organza ribbon (also from Bunny Zoe's here).

Well, had better wrap up and go to bed now!  See you tomorrow for my Ladybug Crafts Ink and A Spoonful of Sugar DT posts - ta ra!
