New monthly Cupcake Craftroom challenge!

It's time for a new Cupcake Craftroom challenge and this month we want to see lots of LAYERS!  This month the DT used the new Cupcake Cards and Crafts Flourish collection and here's my make...

Some of you may be having de ja vu as I've shown this Make It Crafty Adele before in my blonde hair tute hair here.  Well, I didn't have time to make anything with her at the time but as soon as I saw these gorgeous papers, I knew it was a match made in heaven!  I used the soft sage colour of the Flourish (front of card) and Damask (inside card) paper designs.

You can see more gorgeous DT inspiration over at the challenge blog here.  You have a whole month to join in so I hope to see your layered projects too!

soRRy You feel so IckY!

No, I haven't forgotten my grammar!! I'm here today with a get well card because I just can't seem to make enough of these in the current horrid weather we are experiencing in the UK!!

This is for a male colleague and love this Paper Makeup Flubu Monster and that sentiment comes with him.  I used my fave Bazzill Smoothies Kraft cardstock for the base and papers from the Crate Paper School Spirit 6x6 pad - brilliant papers with this brilliant image!!  I also used Distress Inks stain in Picket Fence to soften the edges and papers - this is so easy to use for this technique!

And do you like my layout?  I used this month's Quixotic Paperic sketch - hope it has inpired you to play along for a chance to win a £15 prize!  Link your projects up here - I hope you can join in!

That's it from me today!  See you next Thursday but before I go, don't forget to check out the new goodies in store!

Look, no stamping!!!

...well, apart from the sentiment!  So, a new challenge has opened over at at Flutter By Wednesday and this week is an open challenge, just make sure you use your fairies, angels or butterflies!  And not only that, but this is going to a month long challenge!  So plenty of time to get your entries in!!

I made this...

I used a selection of Magnolia dies (you can get most from Dies To Die For here) and a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and lots of Distress Ink in Antique Linen!  I used some more of the very few papers I have left from my BasicGrey Wisteria paper pad - I'm trying not to get tempted to buy a replacement one!

This challenge will run from Wednesday the 7th through midnight PST on December 31 - so plenty of time to get your fluttery creations in!  You can see with the rest of the gorgeous DT creations over at the Flutter By Wednesday blog!

Make mine a Make It Monday!!

Before I get onto my DT card for Make It Monday here is SOME VERY IMPORTANT NEWS!  As many of you know, Michelle of Pink Paper Paradise started off Make It Monday as a way for people to share, but it's taken over her blog!!  So as from today we now have a brand new spankin' blog dedicated to Make It Monday!  If you already have our badge, please could you update it with the new linky below.  Now Michelle can have her own space to create and share!

Onto my MIM card!  This week we are being sponsored by Platypus Creek Stamping and Crafts - they have a mixture of goodies and this week they are giving away a gorgeous set of sweetie stamps!  Go take a look at the challenge blog here to see what you can win!  They even have some freebie digis and I used Hannah's Guitar and "you rock" sentiment (both found here) - I thought they would be the perfect compliment to my all time fave Kenny K Rock Chick!  I even used the guitar as a border as you can see inside the card - how cool is that?!

I hope you get a chance to upload your card to Make It Monday - we love seeing your creations!  And don't forget, the more comments you leave on other entrants' posts mentioning you saw their card/project on MIM, the more entries - and therefore chances! - you have of winning second prize!  You can see all the deets and the other DT makes here.

Bye for now and thank you for visiting me!

A vintage hello!

Hi all!  You know how much I love those Pollycrafts images and this week their Monday challenge is a sketch with a vintage theme.  I'm not well versed with the vintage style so I kept mine pretty simple...

Is it vintage enough?  Not sure, but I think the colours and distressing help!  I used Vintage Ronnie that Paula created especially to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance - you can read all about it on Paula's blog here.

That's it from me today - have a lovely Friday!

Paper/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock, BasicGrey Recess
Stamps: Pollycraft Vintage Ronnie, Paper Salon sentiment
Mediums: Copics, Distress Ink in Antique Linen
Accents: clip from stash

We challenge you to celebrate over at Totally Ladybug Tuesday!

(Please scroll down for my A Spoonful of Sugar DT card!)

Celebrate what, you ask?!  Anything you want!  The ever sophisticated and well dressed Pami has set the Totally Ladybug Tuesday challenge this week for 'celebration'!  Here is what I did...

As much as I love sweet, whimsical Buttercup the dog from the Ladybug Crafts Ink range, I'm lovin' Magnum the naughty cat more and more!  This one is Add-On Magnum with the balloon and cake stamps from the Add-Ons set and the sentiment is from the Magnum Sentiments set.  I love how you can mix and match all the images up!  I watercoloured him on thick linen cardstock with my Distress Inks to give his fur some texture and I really liked the way it came out - it looks like suede IRL!

I hope you can join in with this week's challenge and you don't need to use a LCI stamp but we love it when you do!  You can see all the other gorgeous DT makes here.

Thanks for visiting me - toodle-oo for now!

I am entering my card into Karen's Doodles happy birthday challenge, Totally Gorjuss for fluffy, Make It Monday to just share your creativity and Catch the Bug for four or more layers (at least four on this!).

Paper/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock, linen cardstock, BasicGrey Cupcake paper pack
Mediums: Tim Holts Distress Inks
Accents: dew drops
Tools: Nestabilities square, star and scallop label dies
