All That Scraps feature in Whimsy Magazine!

There is an All That Scraps Spring feature in the April edition of the Whimsy Magazine and I got to do a guest designer spot in it - it's on page 50 if you get a chance to take a look.  Here is my card for it...

I used the very sweet and beautiful C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Butterfly Nora Rubber Stamp that I coloured with my Prismacolor pencils.  I also used a stamp from the Whimsy Spring Silhouettes Notables 6 sentiments collection and Whimsy designer grunge papers.  I finished it off with a touch of Glamour Dust on her wings, dress trim and the butterfly and a touch of soft feminine lace.  I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp challenge for their happy mail challenge.

You can check out more gorgossity in the magazine here.

What fabulous news!!

Did you know that the lovely Elaine, owner of Quixotic Paperie is now stocking My Favorite Things Die-namics?  I luuuuurve my MFT goodies so in celebration, I made this summery card (inspired by the sun we've had this week in the UK!)...

I used the beautiful Simply Betty Water Fun Rio with papers from the Echo Park - Splash Collection Kit.  The sentiment is from the Whimsy Party Mini Letter Seals set which I stamped on the MFT Die-Namics - Fishtail Flags STAX.  Other MFT goodies I used were the Flat Bottom Clouds die, Notched Border die and the Wonky Scallop Border die.

Please don't ask which is my most fave of the MFT dies - they are all so fab!  You can see the rest of the new MFT Die-namics here - but you'd better hurry cos I've already put most of them in my shopping basket!

Okay, I am off now - see you later on my blogging rounds!

More mixed media experimentation!

Happy weekend everyone!  I'm here today to show you how my experimenting with a more mixed media style using Quixotic Paperie goodies is getting on!  If you're familiar with my usual style you'll know I'm more of a clean lines, cutesy card maker so this new style is hard for me!  So, I'm just getting my inks, materials, tools, etc out without having any particular design in mind (otherwise it will lean to my usual style!) and see what magic happens!  And here's what "happened" to me today...

So, what d'ya think?!  I doubt if I will ever get this mixed media style right but I think I'm finding my own style within the style - if that makes sense!  I didn't take me long to make either - it sort of all fell into place.  I loved using the Authentique Splendid pad along with the exciting new Susana Loves Stamps Blank Canvas Women stamp set and the Whimsy Friendship Ticket Sentiments Set

That's it from me this week, see you tomorrow with something exciting happening at MilkCoffee Stamps and my next Whimsie Doodles guest artist spot - it's gonna be a busy day!

I just love Showcase by Kenny K for Whimsy Stamps - who doesn't want to have a figure and lips like that?!!  I used her with Echo Park papers from the Dots & Stripes Metropolitan 6x6 pad - this is currently in the sale with 25% off and also in the 12x12 collection too!  I used a sentiment from the Whimsy Friendship Ticket Sentiment Set with my trusty Whimsy Shapeology Ticket Die (currently out of stock, but Elaine would be happy to order it in for you, just email her here).

That's it from me today - have a fabulous weekend and see you on my bloggy visits!

It's another circular card but this time I've used my Grand Nestie circle dies instead my usual mini circle cards....

You just gotta love those Wee Stamps for Whimsy Stamp!  This is Sylvia Zet's Wee Stamps Sweet Blossom matched up with Echo Park Sweet Summertime papers (currently 25% off!).  For the border I used my Sew Easy Tool with the Scallop Head and yellow floss.

For embellishment I used 4mm flat backed pearls and created some sublte bling with my Viva Decor Glitter Liner pen on the image and smeared on Make It Crafty Butterfly and Leaves lasercut chipboard.

Et voila!  A sweetie in the making!  And there is still plenty of time to join in with this month's Quixotic Inspirations sketch for a chance to win a £15 voucher - just link up your gorgossity here!
