You brighten my day

I'm here today with the last of my Lili of the Valley sneak peeks using one of the cuties and sentiment from the Happy Bear clear stamp sheet that is being released this Saturday - not long now to get your hands on these sweeties!  Don't forget to join the hop (yesterday's post) to win the whole set!!!!

He's so adorable, I'm sure you'll agree!  The sentiment is also from the set.  The papers are called Party Animals by Nitwit Collections and the hearts are die cut from the SPD SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set.

Okay, I'll be back tomorrow with my La-La Land Crafts and Alicia Bel DT posts - until then, bye!

Lili of the Valley new release blog hop!

The Lili of the Valley design team are having a blog hop today to show off the new release that will be available from the webite from 31 January.  There are four new rubber stamps and some clear ones too.  I used another adorable bear from the Happy Bear clear stamp sheet for my DT make...

The papers are... guess what... yep, Party Animals by Nitwit Collections and again I used my old Woodware punch for the little stars.

I forgot to mention that I've been colouring in these cuties with my new Polychromos pencils.  Steve bought me the whole 120 set for Christmas - what a lucky girl I am!  Personally, I prefer them to my Prismas as the lead is harder and easier for me to be lighter with them.  I still love my Prismas though so they won't be relegated to the bin!

Back to the hop!  One lucky hopper will win a full set of the new release!  The winner will be announced this Friday.  Here is the hop list...

Mary J (me!)

Okay, I'll be back on Friday with my La-La Land Crafts and Alicia Bel DT posts.  Enjoy your week until then!

Sweet Bear bum!

I've got yet another Lili of the Valley sneak peek of one of another adorable bear from the Happy Bear clear stamp sheet that is being released on 31 January.

Look at that cute little bum!  And I really love the font of the sentiment that also comes with this set.  The papers are (again!) the Party Animals by Nitwit Collections and I used a very old Woodware punch for the little stars (although I don't think they are called stars!).

Okay, that is it from me this week.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll see you next week.

Teddy bear sweetness!

Popping in again with another Lili of the Valley sneak peek of one of the cuties from the Happy Bear clear stamp sheet that is being released on 31 January.

Another cutie pie and the sentiment is also from the set.  The papers are once again the Party Animals by Nitwit Collections and the hearts are die cut from the SPD SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set.

See you again tomorrow my La-La Land Crafts and Alicia Bel DT posts!

Mmmm....love pancakes!

I could eat a whole pile of pancakes - whatever sort! - and would keep on wanting more!  My favorite are my mum's Chinese style ones which are large (size of a dinner plate!), thick and fluffy and you spread butter and Golden Syrup on them - yum!  I also love my husband's small, fluffy drop scones (not really a pancake not what I'd call a scone either!) with whipped cream, sugar and lemon on top.  I'm nearly dribbling thinking of them both!

You're probably wondering why I'm waffling on about pancakes!  Lili of the Valley have got a gorgeous new release out on 31 January and one of them is called Pancake Day - just in time for the event in the UK on 17 February!  So I've made a sneak peek with him...

I'm going to send this to my mum to hint to her that I'll be expecting her pancakes on the day!  The sentiments are from the new Happy Bear clear stamp sheet, also being released on 31 January.  The papers are called On Nitwit Pond by Nitwit Collections and the hearts are die cut from the SPD SugarCuts Heart Journal Card die set.

I've got some more sneak peeks of the Happy Bear clear stamp sheet from the new release over the next week or so and I'll see you tomorrow with my next one.  Bye for now and have a loverrrrrly day!

Snowflakes - no thanks!

The theme over at La-La Land Crafts blog this week is Snowflakes!  As pretty as they are, I'm not looking forward to any sprinkling of them any time soon - they're not nice when they start to melt and turn into ice!  Hopefully, we will have a couple of months to go before we see them here in the South East of England.  But anyhoo, here is my DT take on it...

Here's a list of the La-La Land Crafts goodies I used:

Copics used:
Face: E000, E00, E21, R02, R05
Hair: E31, E33, E35, E37
Outfit: BV01, BV02, BV04, BV08, E31, E33, E35

Isn't she beautiful?  I love her garland of snowflakes which I heavily sprinkled with Glamour Dust.  As you can see, I also created a shaker window.  I embossed the stitched circle around the window for interest and used Doodlebug sequins.

Here's tip - when creating a shaker card, glue several sequins in place before adding the rest of the sequins loose to ensure that some stay up in the window rather than all dropping down to the bottom.  I hope that makes sense!

Check out the rest of the DT snowflakey creations over at the blog here!  I will be back later with my Alicia Bel DT post - see you then!

Alicia Bel inspiration time!

(Please scroll down for my La-La Land Crafts DT post!)

Today the Alicia Bel design team is giving you some inspiration from the fabulous goodies available in the store.  I decided to use this gorgeous girl Frog Kisser...

Isn't she beautiful?  And this is the first time I've attempted a dark skin tone using Copic E31, E33 and E35.  I'm going to try an Asian/Chinese skin tone soon!  I also added Glamour Dust to her tiara although you can't see it very well in the photo - it's blinging!  I popped the white frame on foam pads for depth to frame her.

I used Lili of the Valley Shabby Shack paper, a Memory Box flourish die, Whiff of Joy speech bubble die and La-La Land Crafts Lotus Flower die, topped off with a Doodlebug glittered brad.

Check out some more inspiration over at the blog here - you won't be disappointed!  That really is it from me today - honestly!

Bunny cuddles

Okay, I've got one more sneak peek for the new Lili of the Valley stamps and this one is super sweet!

So adorable, right?  It's called Baby Rabbit and I love the sweet little hearts surrounding the image too!  I also used a sentiment from the Handwritten Phrases set and the paper is from the Snow Princess paper pad.  I used a Lawn Fawn border die for extra sweetness!

I'm off now but I'll be back tomorrow with my La-La Land Crafts DT post - ttfn!

Lili of the Valley new release blog hop - prizes to be won!

Yes, there's a new Lili of the Valley release and it's another winner in my view!  The design team are having a hop to show them off before they are launched in the shop this Saturday at the Christmas open day and from the website on Monday 24 November.  Not long to wait!

There are 10 new images and 3 gorgeous paper pads - see the sneak peek I showed on my blog in this post here.  Join the hop and you will be in for a prize - a set of each, no less!

So without further ado, here is my DT make using Baby Balloon...

I also used a sentiment from the Handwritten Phrases set and the papers are from the Pastel Dreams paper pad.  The banner die is by La-La Land Crafts and I added a strip of white grosgrain ribbon for texture.

If you're on the hop you should have arrived here from the lovely Lou and you now need to hop off to marvellous Mindy.  If you need to start from the beginning, go to the Ideas to Inspire blog with all the deets!

I'll be back later with my SugarPea Designs DT post - see you in a couple of hours!

Lili of the Valley sneak peek!

I'm just popping in to share a sneak peek of one of the new Lili of the Valley stamps and paper pad that will be available this Saturday in store.  This cutie pie is called Baby Heart and the paper is from the One Birdie Lane pad...

Isn't he adorable?  I coloured him (or her!) with Prismacolor pencils and the sentiment is from the Handwritten Phrases stamp set.  I also used an Embossalicious button embossing folder for the background and the ribbon is by Paperchase although I don't think they sell it any more.

I hope you can come back tomorrow for another sneak peek!

You're one cool hombre

Hi all!  Hope you're weekend has started well and looking forward to a relaxing Sunday.  I spent most of today just relaxing after my rubbish week and feel so much better!  Tomorrow we are looking forward to a spot of lunch at a local restaurant who also have a jazz band playing for the afternoon. And then, no doubt, I'll start getting anxious about work again at 3pm, lol!

Anyhoo, quickly popping in to share a card I made today using the fantastic Let's Fiesta stamp set by the fabby SugarPea Designs...

This character always makes me smile and I love the accessory stamps that come with it too.  I used a My Favorite Things cover up die and the papers are by Lili of the Valley called Candles and Cake which you'll have to buy soon if you want it as they're discontinuing it.

Right, I'm off to bed now - I'll see you tomorrow with my Doodlelicious Diva DT post.

Hidden extra

It's time for some Hidden Extra inspiration over at the La-La Land Crafts blog this week and there's already been some amazing projects this week!  I must say that I didn't have a clue what to do for it and then I saw how upset one of work friends at the moment so I decided to make her this card to encourage her to make those changes in her life that she keeps talking about but never seems able to take forward...

I'm pretty pleased with how this came out and I really hope it cheers my friend up.  I used lots of lovely LLLC dies - Beautiful Day Sentiments SetLotus DieStitched Scallops Border Die and Open Leaf Flourish Die.  I used papers from the Lili of the Valley Country Meadow pad.

Okay, well that is it from me today but I'll be back this weekend with my Doodlelicious Diva make - ttfn!

To doodle or not to doodle?

This week's inspiration over at La-La Land Crafts is "oodles of doodles" - I rarely doodle as I like symmetry and neatness too much!  Still, I had a go and ended up with this...

Yeah, I know I didn't get my dashes evenly sized nor in perfectly lines!  It's driving me nuts looking at it, lol!!  But I love the stamp which is the very sweet Christmas Bell Marci.  I also used the Snowflake Banner die (I used DCWV glitter cardstock with it)Christmas Hill Border die die and the fishtail banner die from the Stitched Elements die set.  The papers are by DoCrafts (I totally love these papers!).

Copics used:
Face: E000, E00, E21, R20
Hair: C03, C05, C09
Outfit: R00, R02, R05, R08, C03, C05, C09
Bell: Y21, YR23, YR27, B000, B01, B02

You can see the rest of the gorgeous design team inspiration over at the blog here.  I'll be back this weekend with my SugarPea Designs and Lili of the Valley DT posts.  TTFN!

Did you ever want your very own pony?

I know I did!  And I saved every penny when I was a young girl so I could take the long bus ride to the nearest stables to ride a pony!  But alas, I never did get to own my very own but I do get to see them nearly every day now I live in the countryside.  *Sigh* - such beautiful creatures!

But, hey, you haven't come here to hear me reminisce!  But the card I am sharing today brings back those memories and I just adore the new Annabel Saddle Up stamp now available in the Lili of the Valley store.

Isn't she pretty?  And I also used the pretty papers from the Pastel Dreams pad and the sentiment is from the Scrolls Sentiments set.  I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Scalloped Border and the that's a CC Designs Cutter grass border die.

Thank you for visiting me today - have a great day and I will see you again soon!

Woo hoo!

I was super chuffed to see that one of my cards for Lili of the Valley made it as the focal point on this month's edition of Simply Cards and Papercrafts #128!  Check this out...

My mum is going to be so proud when she sees this - it's almost like I'm a celebrity when I get in a mag, lol!  And here are all of the cards that are featured in this edition...

Using Penguin Pals...

These two using Ice Christmas...

These two using Frosty Fun...

This one using Snow Flurries...

And lastly this card also using Snow Flurries made it onto their blog as a bonus card...

I love these penguins!  And I also used papers from the new Festive Trimmings pad and sentiments from the Christmas Wishes stamp set.

Whew, that was a lot of cards I made in less than a week!  But it was well worth it to see them published!  I'm going to enter these into Squirrel's The Great Penguin Challenge 2014.

Now I'm off to bed to get a good rest for another busy, busy week at work!
