Guest spot over at Tiffany Doodles!

Phew, made it to Saturday!  Time for a nice long rest this weekend - no plans, just take it as it comes (which I hope involves lots of crafting!).  One of my current aims is to just do more creating and play with more brands so I was very chuffed with the ever wonderful and lovely Jessica of Can You Pixel This? (I'm so jealous I didn't think of that name for my blog!) asked me to do a guest spot for Tiffany Doodles, goodies I haven't used before!  You can see my guest spot here, but here is my make for them in all it's glory, lol!!

I used the very sweet Turtle Friend Digital Stamp set and didn't use any design papers - really!  Instead I used kraft cardstock for the base and then distressed some white wash Core'dinations with some stitching and lots of foam pads for texture and depth. I also used my Copics Aircan for the water.

I have a few other guest spots coming up during November so I hope you can back and see my makes for them.  In the meantime, Tiffany Doodles has a November sale - Buy 4 Stamps and get 33% off your order!

Okay, that's it for me - off for some resting!  Have a great weekend everyone!

Make It Monday sponsored by Pollycrafts!

Before we open the party, a big WELCOME to Karen of Krafty Karen's blogspot {waves}, our newest DT member!!  Karen is extremely talented so it's fab to have her on the team and you will definitely want to go visit her to see her gorgeous creations!

Okay, the new linky party has opened over at Make It Monday - come along and share your creativity!  This week we are being sponsored by Pollycrafts so I have used a Pollycrafts' Lilybean Fairy called Clover Butterfly Wishes....

Isn't she sweet and gorgeous?!  I matched her up with My Minds Eye Vanity Fair papers with a little bit of shabby chic distressing and flowers.

The wonderful Paula owns Pollycrafts, the home of fun, original hand drawn images for use in your crafting projects and is offering the winner 5 single digis of their choice!  And if you can't wait to see if you've won, there are some fantastic bundle deals you can find here!

Okay, so onto my pick of last week's entries!  I have chosen this gorgossity by Helen of Molecraft...

Created by Helen of Molecraft

It is just pure coincidence that she has used a Pollycraft image too!  I love this because of the fab colours, the use of the papers with the corners and how she has used the silver for the sentiment - just lifts the whole card!  Thx for sharing with us Helen!

Make it Monday sponsored by Craft Emma's Store!

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you had a good one!  It's Monday so it's time for a new Make It Monday linky party and we want to be inspired by your creativity!  For my make this week, I used a new fave by Saturated Canary digi set called Camping Sleep Over...

I kept it all pretty simple, using lots of distressing and ripping to create interest and chalk to create the shadows under the images that are stuck on with foam pads, which you can see better in this piccie here...

The sentiments are from My Favorite Things and the cardstock is Core'dinations whitewash - love this stuff!

This week we are sponsored by the lovely Emma over at Crafty Emma's Store and this week the prize is a £10 voucher to spend in her yummy store!

So onto my pick of last week's entrants - I have chosen this sweet fresh make by Wendy of Flowergirl Cards...

Created by Wendy of Flowergirl Cards
I love that Penny Black stamp and how Wendy has added the gems in the tree and the subtle distressing - just beautiful!  Thank you for sharing with us Wendy!

Yay, today is the day you can buy the fun and cute Pixie of Oz collection over at Pixie Dust Studios!

Today I have used three of the cuties - meet Tin Heart, Brainy and Courage!

Tag time over at Take the Pixie challenge!

It's still my birthday and I'm still celebrating my birthday with tons of housework!!!!!  Hmmph (as blog mate Kerry would say!). Here (in spirit of course with this scheduled post!) is my DT card for this week's Take the Pixie Challenge is to tag it!  Here is my take on it...

I just adore this image!  It is called Pocket of Love and I just love their huge eyes!  And look - no designer papers!  I used Core'dinations vintage look cardstock and went a bit mad with my ripping, distressing tool and lots of edge inking!  Untidy, just like a real boy!  That woodgrain is a Hero Arts background stamp that I embossed with Adirondack embossing powder in coffee and the material is from an old pair of jeans - thought it would match nicely with that stamp!

That's it from me today - enjoying the rest of my birthday!

I am entering my card into the following challenges:

    Paper/cardstock: Bazzill cardstock, Core'dinations cardstock
Stamps: Pixie Dust Studios Pocket of Love, Hero Arts dots background, CC Designs sentiments
    Mediums: Copics
Accents: ribbon and kraft tag from stash
Tools: Distressing Tool, Nestabilitie label die inside card

It's a bit soggy over at the Pollycrafts Monday challenge!

It's Pollycrafts Monday and this week I get to set the challenge!  As it is the world famous Henley Regatta week where's there's lots of splashing about, I chose water as this week's theme!  But I didn't go for a sailing theme, instead I used the sweet mermaid fromthe newest Swings and Slides Enchant and Explore set...

I just love her hair, you can almost feel it swaying in the water!  I also used the sentiment from Sonny Says clear stamp set - I just love the whimsical sentiments in this set!  To give the whole card a little shimmer, I added glitter glue to her ball and around her tail as well as on the web ribbon and red border - you can see it better below (but not much better, lol!!)...

I hope you get a chance to play along this week!  You can see the other gorgeous DT makes here!

    A vintage hello!

Hi all!  You know how much I love those Pollycrafts images and this week their Monday challenge is a sketch with a vintage theme.  I'm not well versed with the vintage style so I kept mine pretty simple...

Is it vintage enough?  Not sure, but I think the colours and distressing help!  I used Vintage Ronnie that Paula created especially to raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance - you can read all about it on Paula's blog here.

That's it from me today - have a lovely Friday!

Fabby news! I'm April's GD for the Some Odd Girl challenge blog!

(Please scroll down for my Quixotic Paperie and By LoRi Designs DT cards)

I've been bursting to share this for aaaages!  I was very chuffed to be chosen as the Some Odd Girl's April guest designer!  I love playing with these beauties!  This challenge is to create a clean and simple card - not the easiest style for me!!  But here is my effort...

I used Roller Mae - I can feel the breeze in my hair just looking at her!  And look, no design papers again!  Instead, I used am embossing folder on white wash co-ordination cardstock, a white gel pen for the faux stitching and some simple embellishing - et voila!

I hope you get a chance to play along - you don't need a SOG image but if you do use one for the challenge, you get 2 chances to win!

Lastly, just to let you know that all of next week we will be having sneak peeks of the new release due out on 19 April - I've been playing with some of the new images so I can confidently say that you are going to LOVE them!

That's it from me for now - thanks for visiting!!

And yes, yet another Xmas card from me!  I've really got to get my skates on - I've got at least 30 more to make!  This time I used my new A La Modes Candy Cane Kisses by My Favorite Things - isn't she funky?

I realised after I took the photo that it looks like she's forgotten to dress her bottom half, lol!!  They are meant to be biege trousers, ha ha!!  Hey ho.  I'm sure the rest of the DT haven't made such a boo boo!  Go here to the challenge blog to see their gorgeous inspiration!

    You're just right!

This is my next card for Quixotic Inspirations and I've used that delicious Kraftin Kimmie's Goldilocks - just look at those eyes!!

Aaahhh!!  And I love that the sentiments come with the images - just makes the process that little bit easier and quicker!  I'm really into my pom poms at the moment - they finish the card off so sweetly!  I found these Fancy Pants ones in the shop reduced here.

I also used the new BasicGrey Marjolaine paper pack. I love this pack as it's so versatile - there are some lovely feminine papers, but others that you can use for those difficult male cards - I'm going to get a lot of mileage out of this one!

Back tomorrow with another card - probably needs to be a Xmas one as it's less then a month away - panic setting in...
