Anything with wings over at Flutter By Wednesday!

A new challenge has opened over at Flutter By Wednesay and this week we want to see....

Anything with Wings!

We normally only allow butterflies, angels or fairies, but just for this week you can use anything as long as it has wings!  So I decided to have some butterflies but use a bird for the main focal point...

I am really getting into my non-stamp cards!  It's scarey not to use an image to work with and it feels little like cheating by not colouring in!  But I am loving stretching my creative skills by using die cuts - and goodness knows I own A LOT of dies that are barely used!  I haven't decided whether to use this for an engagement card or a wedding card - what do you think it is most suitable for - advice please!

I used more yummy papers from Echo Park's Be Mine 12 x 12 collection (from Quixotic Paperie here) and a My Favorite Things sentiment along with a varity of their dies too.

LOVER over at Flutter By Wednesday!

A new challenge has opened over at Flutter By Wednesday and this week we have a recipe for you...

L = 2 or more layers
O = have an odd number of embellishments (eg 3, 5, 7)
V = have the color Violet on your creation
E = you can use any color except Red
Remember your butterfly, fairy or angel!

So here is what I came up with...

Isn't she beautiful?  I don't think you can buy this though - sorry!  Lovely FBW leader Danni commissioned Victoria Case to make it for just for the design team!  I matched her up with gorgeous BasicGrey Wiseria papers with a touch of lace and created some shabby chic flowers.

Embossing time over at Flutter By Wednesday!

A new challenge has opened over at Flutter By Wednesday and this week we want to see some embossing - just don't forget to use your fairies, angels or butterflies!  So here is my DT make for this week...

I've been dying to use one of my border embossing folders - I have at least 10 of them and never used!!!  So, I used it with pink DCWV with a white core along with papers from Echo Park's Be Mine 12 x 12 collection (from Quixotic Paperie here and currently in the sale with 25% off).  I used a My Favorite Things sentiment and a selection of label, flower and vine dies.  And all topped off with Martha Stewart punched butterflies and bit of lace - voila!

Anything goes over at Flutter By Wednesday!

It's Wednesday so that means a new challenge over at Flutter By Wednesday and this one is an open one - just don't forget to use your fairies, angels or butterflies!  So here is my DT make for this week...

I hope you lot aren't getting bored of my circdle cards and my fence punch and little rolled rose flowers!!  I thought the My Minds Eye Everyday Flair (from Quixotic Paperie here) would be sweet to go with this sweet C.C.Designs Sweet November Chanter Heartsong Stamp.  I've used this layout before but thought it would be great with this little lady!  And do you see skirt?  It's totally thick with Glamour Dust - it's shineeeey!!

Flutter By Wednesday blog hop!

It's a very special day over at Flutter By Wednesday - not only do we have a blog hop, we also have some new very talented members to the team!  So a big hello {WAVING!} to...

And for our first challenge of 2012 we're sponsored by Bugaboo and having a blog hop!  Be sure to visit the Flutter By Wednesday challenge blog to see how you can play along for full details for the chance to win their sweet and funny goodies!  And a big thank you to those who played along in our month long December challenge too!  If you're already on the hop, you should have come here from the lovely, talented Kristie!

Onto my card!  Now, every year I always leave making Steve's Valentine's Card to the last minute so this year I decided to be mega early making it!  I used this cute Bugaboo Heart Fairy 2...

She is wayyyy toooo cute!  I matched her up with papers from Doodlebug and sweet little flat backed pearls and silver silk ribbon.  Probably a bit too girly for him, but I think he'll like the cheeky fairy!

You now need to hop off to the ever sweet and creative Nancy!  And if you get lost along the way, you can find the full hop list on the Flutter By Wednesday challenge blog!
